We stayed as a couple in Il Ciabot in early July 2023. The owner, signor Stefano Cagliero, is an incredibly welcoming and interesting person, who runs a family business of this Agriturismo and the wine production, managing vineyards around Agriturismo as well. We joined a wine degustation and were very happy with this experience! Signor Stefano is a warm, very professional, and very humble person, passionate about what he is doing! Signor Stefano also recommended us many great places in the area and helped to organize a picnic on the open terrace of Agriturismo with a panoramic view of Barolo. The open terrace deserves special mention! We meet sunsets and sunrises on this terrace and it was absolutely incredible experience. Our room in Il Ciabot was clean, very nice, in the traditional style of Piedmont, with a small fridge with welcoming foods, there were also teapot, tea, coffee, cups, cookies, yogurt, and everything needed. We've found a nice bottle of Barbera from their home-vineyards in our room as a welcome gift :) and a couple of glasses of wine. Thus, we enjoyed this wine on the sunset on the terrace. Agriturismo has several terraces (all with panoramic views of the vineyards and Barolo). We could easily walk in the vineyards around. The location is very convenient, because we could reach Barolo by walk in 10 minutes. We were also very excited to see the cellars and wine production - it was a very interesting part of our stay. The wines are just great and we took several bottles with us before leaving Agriturismo. We highly recommend this place for staying in Barolo and the area around, and wish all the best to the owner of this small magic Agriturismo and wine production! We will surely come back!

Fabulous and comfortable rooms, dog friendly. The owner is so knowledgeable and passionate about his wine, we spent a very pleasant hour tasting some very good red wine with him. The walk into Barolo is only 10 mins. Excellent place to stay.

A beautiful location in the middle of the vineyards a short walk from the village of Barolo.
Extremly friendly and polite host. The place is a little worn around the edges but the viewes (and the complimetary bottle of really good house-made dolcetto) helps. Its a bit like visiting you great grandma, if she was a winemaker in Barolo.

We have enjoyed our stay in Barolo at Agriturismo Il Ciabot. A wonderful house surrounded by vineyards with a spectacular view from the terrace - an ideal place for a relaxing holydays. We have been warmly welcomed by Stefano, who has organized for us a visit of his winery and a great tasting of his wines. It was a great experience and we will stay in Il Ciabot again with pleasure!

3 words for Stefano: passion for wine!! Wauw.. we had a really good time. Stefano took the time for us to explain everything about his winery and lovely wines! We learned a lot and taste some awesome (barolo) wines. Even when he was closed between Christmas and NYE he made time for us. The prices for the wine are fair. Thank you so much for this experience!

We booked one night at Il Ciabot on our way to the coast. What a mistake as we should have stayed a week! Giancarlo and Rosita are the kindest hosts, the accommodations were quite comfortable and the view was spectacular. The highlight was the private wine tasting where we sampled all the fabulous wines produced on the estate. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in Barolo, this is definitely the place.

The farm is located in the middle of rows of vineyards, in a charming, relaxing and fulfilling view. The Owner is a passionate and enthusiastic person, who loves his work and is very competent; his wines are excellent. The tasting was a lesson in oenology, very interesting indeed.

Beautiful farmhouse. The rooms are comfortable, the view is stunning and the place is a stone's throw from Barolo. Although breakfast is not provided, the room provided a kettle, rusks, ribs...
We particularly enjoyed the tasting. The staff is passionate, friendly and kind.

The Cagliero farm is located on a hill among rows of vineyards, a wonderful and characteristic place. The last time we stayed here we were given a room overlooking a terrace where we had breakfast the following day. Stefano Cagliero is a person who transmits love and passion for his work, his wines are exceptional and his farmhouse is a gem in Barolo. We will definitely return to visit him (this was already the third). For us, if you say Barolo, Cagliero is a fixed stop!
