These apartments are well located just north of Peregian’s shops with a beach just behind it. We had a garden apartment which is pet friendly which is great because we could take our dog with us on holiday which doesn’t get to happen often.

The apartments are great value for money - ours had a bedroom, ensuite lounge room and kitchenette. The air conditioning is in the lounge and worked well and even cooled the bedroom overnight.

I loved the little pet gift pack on arrival and the fridge had a bottle of milk and orange juice for us on arrival. The host provide little touches that meant we felt more like guests than paying customers - like a new full size bar of soap in the bathroom which was a great touch.

As soon as Myles showed me to my unit, I knew I found my little beachside bolthole for some much needed rest, relaxation and to do some writing.
I liked everything about the place, from my ivy covered white lattice fenced front porch, to the beautiful miniature artwork which I called " The Orange Van" on one of the walls.
The unit was sparkling clean, full of character and attention to detail that made you want to dance : like orange juice, milk and home made brownies in the fridge, condiments like olive oil, salt and pepper shakers and lots of stuff that that was thoughtful and needed.
Excellently comfortable bedding and even another private tropical courtyard at the back to sun yourself as nature intended.
There's a special 'feel' to this place that evokes a feeling of bohemian tropicality. Added to this is that spectacular piece of beach just a minute's walk away and you have a very desirable place to rest, rejuvenate and read by the intimate pool with the resident water dragons for company. Myles and Greg should be justly proud of creating holiday accommodation that is all too rare these days. I booked for a fortnight and ended up staying a month. Nuf said!

The Beachcomber is a 5 unit block with a pool close to the beach (1 minute walk) just north of Peregian village. We had unit 4 which is a ground floor unit closest to the pool. The unit was neat, tidy and clean, though some of the crockery wasn’t very clean when we went to use it. I don’t blame the staff for this as it’s the responsibility of the previous guests to wash the dishes. The staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. I would stay there again.

What a fantastic spot. We stayed for 4 nights and will be back! Nice, clean, gorgeous little courtyard and the staff are great. Cutest pool I've ever seen, my daughter loved it. Takes all of 2min to walk to the beach, if you're keen 10min to the shops. Everything is so close, we had the best time!

I was Super Impressed for our entire stay. The bookings process, the management, the location and the room were all PERFECT. Our room was Super clean, the bed very comfy, the shower hot and powerful. We stayed in the garden unit with our 2 dogs and it was the perfect setup. Across the road from the beach with an awesome nice walk into the village. Greg the owner for super helpful and really made us feel welcome

This is an older block of five units that has been refurbished and is decorated and equipped to a generally high standard. The owner/manager obviously has taken real pride in giving units that extra touch, from good linen and a full range of toiletry products to a better-equipped kitchen than you'll find in most holiday rentals (kitchen scales!). He is also very helpful, and will supply things or give advice readily.

So what doesn't work? The downstairs units are dark (lights on during the day). The block is on the main road (on a corner) and there is considerable traffic noise during the day. Yes, as one reviewer said you can hear the ocean "as a soft distant murmur", but only in the dead of night! The owner has a large dog that won't be to everyone's taste (nor will the dog excrement in the lawn, as we found). And if you're next to the owner's unit you will breathe a lot of second-hand cigarette smoke. Walls are thin. The TV was old (distorted sound) as was the stereo and DVD player. Wifi worked well, though.

A mixed bag and affordable, but not the special holiday place we were expecting.

Response from PeregianBeach, Owner at Beachcomber Peregian Beach

I have a ten year old dog that is my constant companion is he sits outside apartments whilst I service them and he likes to greet all guests. I was aware of that the quests were extremely fearful of dogs and contained my dog to my courtyard and apartment where possible for the duration of their stay. I did have a friend staying with me who was a smoker and he was smoking outside in my courtyard, had I been aware that it had any impact on the guests whatsoever I would have addressed that issue.

We spent one night in a Balcony room. The room itself is nicely decorated, has all sorts of bits and pieces in the kitchen, plenty of nice touches in the bedrooms and bathroom, a large TV and some reading material, but....
Unfortunately we couldn't sleep a wink because of the traffic noise which went all night (this was a Sunday night). A fairly constant stream of traffic going past.
The bedroom faces northeast and is lovely and bright and white during the day but unfortunately it is also quite well lit at night time. It has vertical blinds and the lights outside shine through the gaps in the blinds. Then the sun comes up at sparrows and the bedroom is light and bright again. We had eye shades and earplugs and still couldn't sleep.
The other thing we didn't like was that the person in the room next to us had to walk past our lounge window to get to his room so there is little privacy unless you close the blinds, and we didn't want to be shut in all the time.

These things may or may not bother you at all, I know many people can sleep through anything but if noise and light bothers you then the Balcony room is not for you.

Not a fancy Hotel and thats the way we like it.
Just a few Unites in this very nice and well appointed beach spot. Just 2 minutes walk to a beautiful beach. Older fashion Australian style apartment Unite, but very bright and clean. Room was fully equipped with tea coffee and every thing you could think of to make your own meals, even cooking oil and fresh milk in the fridge on our arrival. Beach towels, and all linens provided, even the bathroom had everything you would need, right down to dental floss. and good aircon. Internet is good but a little slow but thats Australia anyway. Very quiet place and close enough to hear the ocean hit the beach at night. Owner was excellent and helped us out when we left a bag there, he went to the post office the same day and mailed it back to us in Sngapore the same day. 2 minute Drive to shops and beach clubs like the SLSC in Coolum and of course the little town of Perigian on the Beach. Will stay there again Highly recommended and great value for money. :)

The accommodation was of an older building but I could not fault how fresh and clean it was.
Under cover parking was an asset with easy access.
The manager Miles was amazing carrying my bad to my room and was very helpful. Finishing touches that he added to the room and refrigerator were delightful.

Great location, only a few steps to an uncrowded beach and charming Peregian Village is only a few blocks away offering a choice of restaurants and shops. Apartments are clean and tidy and have well equipped kitchens. Owner/Managers are very friendly and helpful. The location is close to Noosa but away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist area. The property also has a private swimming pool surrounded by tropical gardens. Under cover parking is provided. Added touches are free high speed internet and the fridge is stocked with milk, juice and freshly baked goodies on arrival. In addition each unit has it's own private barbecue.
