Detailed Reviews
We stayed 3 nights and was clean enough but very much in need of updating - kitchen and toilet floors especially. Very basic accommodation with very small room. Location was good but parking a hassle as free for all. The morning we were checking out the cleaners were entering the room at 9.55am as we were trying to take out our bags saying they needed to strip the beds - give us a chance please??

11/10 service. Staff were amazing to deal with! Very accommodating, we had a trailer so staff made room for secure overnight parking. Arranged to leave the trailer a little longer than check out time so we could enjoy some near by outtings. Great location right by the seafront - excellent cafe right across the road on seafront. Rooms are slighty dated but great for a 1 night away. Would stay again. Recommend !

Ideal place to stay. Rooms are well appointed without being Spartan or luxurious. Very clean and crisp. Reasonable bed. Quiet (maybe not if in rooms that face The Esplanade?). Limited cooking facilities ( microwave only). It’s about 50m to the beach. 5 minute easy walk to Pak’n’Save supermarket and the same to some excellent cafes and a big range of secondhand shops. Reasonable price. Would go back.

I have stayed here satisfactorily a few years ago, so I never read the reviews, which now portray how low the Motel has sunk.
Sadly it lacks maintenance and is falling into disrepair. The feeling is that the motel is there to extract every dollar possible whist offering nothing in return.
The only redeeming thing is:“the location is great”
Sadly, we suggest you stay elsewhere unless it is the only place you can book.

Had a problem with my booking and the Manager did not under stand it and kept repeating what he thought was correct, and did not wish to help me.
I had booked for the 3 March 2023, so my credit card would not be charged till I arrived for the night, but was charged one I booked it.
He will not credit my credit card for the charge.

Our two bedroom unit was very dated, dark and needed a good clean. Wouldn’t take much to bring it up to standard but not good value for money in its current condition. Best thing about this motel was its location.

Good location in Petone. Clean rooms.
Furniture etc a bit dated and you can see wear and tear in the place but still clean and presentable
Near the road so can get the traffic noise but didn’t stop us having a good night sleep. Firm beds.
Would stay here again.

Very basic, old, smelly and dirty. For the price we paid we were expecting a little more. Very expensive for not much. The fridge wouldn't stay cold as the seals were all cracked and broken, the beds were terribly hard and uncomfortable. Do not recommend this hotel

Stayed here for 4 nights just recently. It's a great place had a nice comfy bed, loved that it had sky channels (to watch while nursing a major hangover), and a heater that kept the room warm during the freezing cold weather. Also housekeeping everyday was great supplying us with clean towels and more tea bags / coffee etc. If you have a car there's also car parking right outside your room. But what I loved most about the place is that it was soo central to everything. You have an array of shops just around the corner and wellington is literally less than 15mins away. Definitely value for money and if I ever come back to Petone. I will definitely stay again

Stayed for one night in two rooms. Very clean everything worked well including the wifi. Free parking outside your room. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and to Petone railway station for train to Wellington. Friendly helpful reception and check in quick.
