Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed here for a week with a couple of granddaughters. We had a two bedroom apartment, and it was ideal for our purpose. Full kitchen, living area, and the bedrooms were large with good size wardrobes. A family of four could quite comfortably live in the unit for a decent length of time. The only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars is that the bathroom is downstairs while the bedrooms are upstairs, not so handy for midnight loo visits. Handy to the railway station too.

Tried the big websites and found that the charged 20% more than booking directly. It’s a not very attractive concrete block place, cold and cheap. However, recent renovations means that it is acceptable on the inside, with the heater on full, it soon warmed up the room.

We were in Lower Hutt for a sporting event for 5 nights and stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. The unit was very clean and looked like it had been recently renovated. Dave in Reception was so helpful and accommodating and nothing was an issue - great customer service as well. I would highly recommend this motel.

We had a lovely stay, our spa room was very clean with a new bathroom. We were walking distance to the Lower Hutt shops/mall, loved running along the river track. A short walk to cluster of bars and restaurants in the old train station which had lovely outdoor areas. The manager was friendly and helpful. A perfect place to stop for the wedding we attended.

Stayed one night in a Studio Unit. We had a room with a Queen bed and a single. It was a very good size. Plenty of space for all three of us to put our cases out. The kitchen and bathroom looked newly renovated. Clean and tidy. Close to town. Although this motel is near a major highway, we were not disturb by any noise at night. Overall we would happily stay here again. Thank you.

We stayed here for a weekend checking in on the Friday night and the one thing that we appreciated was that we had fresh milk for our tea and coffee. We had a unit for 3 people and it was very nice and clean and warm. There was a double bed which had an electric blanket on it and also a single bed in the living room. There was a small kitchen with a two hot plates and an oven which we didn't use also a small fridge. The bathroom looked like it had been renewed as the shower was lovely with plenty of hot water and good pressure. It was very quiet to sleep and it is not too far to the local shopping area. There is a Pak N Save groceries store not too far away. There is also free Wi Fi which was ok. There is parking in front of the unit. There was plenty of tea bags and coffee and a small packet of biscuits to have with a cuppa. Would differently stay here again if we are in Wellington.

I stayed in a one bedroom. Bathroom was very modern good amenities and a soft shower head. Modern kitchen however the chopping board had seen it days and needed replacing and some of the towels. Laundry facilities were adequate however needed signs advising instructions on how to use and length of time for washing. For location and price this was a good choice.

My husband and I booked into this motel on our way home after a long trip already we were exhausted. The room we had was large and warm. The bathroom looked new with a spa bath. What i loved the most was how quiet it was. The motel from what I could tell was heavily booked but we couldn’t hear any noise. It also backs onto a busy road but again could hear nothing. Nice quiet and comfy exactly what we needed and would definitely stay here again.

Owner was very helpful, especially when we had problems with internet, (which were resolved). Unit was renovated with new bathroom, really nice, and one of the best kitchens i've seen in a modern motel in nz - full size fridge and new oven and stove! Beds comfortable and bedrooms with sufficient room... in quiet street, but still close to shops etc.

Friendly staff and warm welcome and local information.New kitchens and bathrooms in the motel units have made it very comfortable and convenient to eat your New World food purchases at home. Good quality linen for bath and sleeping and despite being close to a busy road, sleeping is easy at night as the traffic slows right down. Walking distance to a railway station with limited service and one driving distance away at Petone (very limited parking weekdays) for regular timed trips into Wellington, only 2 stops away.
