The place itself is ok. Nothing fancy but everything is so noisy. There is a gym next door, the bass from which shakes the whole place from 5am. Wouldn’t stay again. I was cold in the room if you didn’t have the heat pump on which was right above the bed
Stayed here for work and couldn’t be more happy, Nice quiet location. Everything you need is pretty much just a short stroll. Rooms that are not only spacious, but extremely clean, with lovely decor, Staff in particular Gurdev Couldn’t be any more accommodating, Highly recommend
We stayed in a two bedroom apartment for three nights with another couple. The apartment on the third floor was well presented and had all we needed., clean, relatively spacious and well furnished. The balcony and view over the bay to Wellington, great! Only down side was the lack of ventilation. The bedrooms being windowless offered no ventilation and made sleeping an issue. Using the air conditioner and leaving bedroom doors open was the solution, though not ideal. We had four bikes that we were able to store in a locked cupboard the first night and then it was suggested we take them to our room the other two, which we did and stored on our balcony - much appreciated. Fun getting them in the lift! The reception staff were exceptional; friendly, helpful, nothing was a problem. Great location near a variety of eating out options and accessible to the Remutaka Trail Will stay again!…
We stayed here for one night before catching a ferry to Picton. As we arrived after 4pm reception was not staffed so had to contact someone to let us in. This was a bit of a hassle as there seemed to be some issue with the intercom. Once in the building the after hours check in was easy. The room was a good size and well laid out with a kitchenette and a deck facing Wellington city. From the 3rd floor this made for a great view. The hotel was a short drive to the ferry terminal. We had a good nights sleep; good pillows, comfy bed and quiet location. The hotel is just off the main street with lots of resturants, cafes, bar and shops. Would most certainly stay there again.
We were 2 hours late getting to the Quest after getting off the ferry due to an accident on the motorway so had to check in via night staff and the phone. All ok and got to our room which I was disappointed in as I particulary wanted a washing machine in the room. I went down stairs and rang night staff agian and to cut a long story short they said to stay in the room for that night and something will get sorted in the morning. True to their word we were moved in the morning by Dave or Dev [sorry not sure of name]. The new room was much bigger - we called it the VIP suite....plenty of space for our stay of 4 nights, lounge area was comfortable with a desk and TV. A sliding door led out to a huge deck area - no chairs or anything to sit on so I thought that was a bit strange it was also looking down on Jackson St. Kitchen was great had a good size fridge, an oven, dishwasher, microwave and all the basics that you need including the washer and separate dryer. Bedroom was a good size, very comfortable bed, blockout curtains and a TV. Even though we were on a main street which had a hotel over the road we didn't have a problem with any noise. Bathroom was spacious with a good shower and plenty of room in the vanity for personal items. Only negitive thing was the mirror - it just needs to be lowered as its too high for short people like me! Great location for cafes, restaurants and shops etc. and not far from Wellington. Parking onsite was $15 p/n or you can park in the street if you can get a spot - not sure if its patrolled tho. Staff were friendly and very helpful - a special thank you to Dave/Dev you went above and beyond to help us with a room we wanted. This is a wonderful place to stay and if we ever come back - which we hope to then this will be the first place we would choose to stay. Note....you need to mention if you want a washer and dryer not all one bedroom rooms have them - looking at the website I thought they did.…
Stayed here a few times. I park on the street & risk the meterman, but you can pay extra to park onsite Rooms are well appointed & spacious. Kitchen is great, with dishwasher. Depends what floor you're on but some look over to Wellington way. Smack in the middle of Petone, with a short drive into Wellington city
Quest Petone is clean, spacious and affordable. I stayed in room 305 with my family and would highly recommend. It is very close to supermarket, restaurants and walk to beach. Dev at reception desk is really helpful 😊. Thanks Quest for great stay.
I have not stayed in a property where I actually did not feel safe.. Hotel located in a tired area, thrift shops, closed up businesses. Their were several small restaurants near by. The staff at the hotel were very nice, it was just the area.
Stayed at Quest Petone for several nights. Discrete entry to the property, but once inside it's a clean and tidy boteque hotel. Warning: car park must be reserved in advance and is charged. We had booked via online booking site and there was no mention of this. For the first night we had to park on the street, but we were able to secure parking for subsequent nights. Staff at reception were very helpful and pleasant. The room was clean and tidy. Has a full kitchen and laundry (both washer and drier) in the room. Also a balcony with clothes horse, so laundry can also dry naturally. Would have appreciated a bit more hot water pressure in the shower, it was adequate but could have been better. The room is fully equipped for self catering. There are supermarkets nearby. Rail station is about 15 minutes walk. Buses pass by a few steps from the property on the main road and the beach is a five minute walk away. Happy to stay here again.…
we arrived here at 4.30 on a Sunday and were met by another couple standing by the entrance. After 4pm on that day is considered “after hours” which means you need to push a buzzer by the front door and hopefully someone will answer. Between the couple and us we tried 3 different times to get someone to come and let us in. Finally someone came to open the front door. This is followed by ringing them up on phone supplied and retrieving room key from lock box via code. Pretty straight forward from thereon in. Rooms themselves are comfortable and well equipped. Would recommend to anyone checking in during staffed times as it is a great location just off Jackson St.
