Our rooms are restored in two old buildings in the center of the village. The location is quiet and reachable only by foot. The medieval town of Calascio placed at 1200m on the southern coast of Gran Sasso mountains has remained intact over time. The proximity of Rocca Calascio, Campo Imperatore, Corno Grande make our facility a departure point for winter and summer activities. Special care is given to breakfast for mountain and international customers.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed at this B&B during a trip to Rocca Calascio and surrounding area. When we booked Lorenzo gave us his contact info and when we arrived at the town he was easy to get a hold of. He met us at the car park area and walked us to our room. The room comfortably accommodated 3 adults in single beds. Room was clean and warm with central heating, private bath with shower. The rustic fireplace was a nice added bonus. Breakfast was abundant with fresh local products. Lorenzo was very friendly and offered a lot of information about the area. Definitely will stay there again when in the area.

Very comfortable and clean. The breakfast is exceptional--fresh fruit, local cheeses and meat, eggs, yogurt and cereal and milk. They also provide two delicious homemade baked goods every morning along with toast, butter, jam, and hot coffee or tea. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They helped us to arrange private transportation to the Rome airport and they can arrange all kinds of outings to the nearby mountains and sites.

Accà Lascio is a very nice B&B. Lorenzo, the host is very friendly and helpful. He is also a mountain guide who can take you for a trip in the Gran Sasso mountains.
The rooms are very clean, good shower and toilet. The B&B is in a mediëval village and the building is very historical. But inside well renovated. I can recommend everyone to stay in Calascio in this B&B

We could take advantage of 3 double rooms and one triple all for single use at a reasonable price. Bottom cleaning was not their strong suit. Hearty and good breakfast, sweet and salty. Calascio is a beautiful country, made at not very comfortable scales

I stayed with my dog in the Camino room. The place and the room are charming, the location even considering that we are talking about a village.
Unfortunately, the owner, Mrs. Mara, had an annoying attitude towards us and not at all polite.
We respected the allergy to the fur of another guest's dog, making ourselves available for early breakfast.
But sometimes on vacation, sleep escapes on the last day. I waited from 08:40 to 10:00, trying twice to have breakfast in vain. The first tells me that the allergic person was in the room; the second signals no while smoking.
Lacking empathy and politeness, she didn't care about us at all, proving it with facts; not only did she not find a solution or at least apologized, she yelled at me and told me to fuck off.

Access to the structure uncomfortable and far from the parking lot in full sun.
Restoration of historic building satisfactory.
We stayed in the Stella room: very tight spaces.
We were forced to leave our clothes in the suitcase for lack of a wardrobe. Just a tiny exposed coat rack and dresser..... (?)
Breakfast, so boasted by several guests, in the norm.
All this hospitality we didn't notice.
Overall just enough

Calascio was our favourite place in our road trip of Abbruzzo. Call ahead so that they can tell you that there is a car park at the top of the town for you to park in. We didn't and as a result lugged our suitcases up all of the stairs to reach the accommodation (completely our fault but good exercise nonetheless). We stayed in the two bedrooms above the breakfast room. The beds were on the mezzanine with the very clean bathroom underneath. Really good but perhaps not so good if you rise often during the night to use the bathroom. The ceiling is low and steps very steep so be careful getting down especially in the dark. Lorenzo is very knowledgable about the area and was happy to show us different places to visit with the free guide books/ maps available to borrow. His english is fantastic if you can't speak Italian. Breakfast was typically Italian with cold meats, hard boiled eggs, cereals and fresh bread. Mara's crostatas were also amazing as were the fresh jams available each day. The view from the windows is beautiful and I would most definitely recommend it and a visit to Calascio to anyone willing to make the drive up the mountain!

We have visited Rocca Calascio many times and we know the area fairly well. Since we were planning a short getaway from Rome and we found a good offer at this place. We decided to book our stay here.
The beauty and wonder of this area is it never fail to amaze me. The location of this affittacamera is actually located in an old medieval area which used to be abandon. The owner of this place actually went through alot to reconstruct the interior as it was old and falling apart. Amazing job because it turns out to be just an great. The feeling staying here is like staying in an old rustic house with a little feel of of modern country.
Pity we were only there for 1 night. Breakfast was sufficient. We were the only guest in the hotel. Super clean rooms so it was just prefect.
Will certainly visit again.

We spent four nights in a second floor room. There are five rooms overall, 3 in a close by separate house and two in the house with the breakfast room and kitchen where we stayed. At first we were a little wary of the stairs going to the bedroom (there is a small living room and modern bathroom down below), but we managed very well. It was chilly but the heating in the rooms took care of the cold. Lorenzo is an excellent host and takes good care of his guests. We were on a hiking package which included dinners at a local restaurant, breakfast at the B&B, and hiking or touring with Lorenzo in Abruzzo. We had a great time despite the sometimes rainy weather and the clouds. Lorenzo is a very knowledgeable guide who taught us the interesting history of the region through visits to lovely mountain villages. We learned about flowers, geology and birds during our hikes. We highly recommended Lorenzo as a guide if you like walking and nature, as well as the B&B (but be aware of the stairs!). He can be reached at: info@gransassoski.it.

+1
We had the house to ourselves. There is a dining area and a small kitchen on the first floor and two rooms on the second floor. Each room has a bathroom, sitting area with wardrobe and a chest of drawers, and a loft with two separate beds. The place is restored in a traditional style using authentic materials. That is the charm of staying there, to experience how people lived in the past. The place is very clean, bathroom with all amenities. We had heating even in mid May that we could adjust. The accommodation is simple but all one needs is there. Breakfasts were excellent, with yogurt, cereal, home-made cake, home-made apricot jam (from the two apricot trees at the entrance), eggs, cheese, sausage. Lorenzo speaks very good English and has extensive knowledge of the mountains. You will learn from him not only where to go for your hike but also about everyday life in a village like this. This is a great place to stay for an outdoor enthusiast. There is a restaurant in walking distance.
