We had a great stay at the Marriott Taipei with our young baby. We booked the 1-bedroom Suite, which was perfect so that our baby could sleep in the bedroom, and we could stay in the living room post-bedtime. The room design is nice and the room itself is very large. Perfect for young families like us. The only downside is that there is no wall between the bathroom and the bedroom (only a roman blind), so any noise or light in the bathroom could possibly disturb a baby or young child sleeping.

The location is great, with a nearby riverside park, and many restaurant outlets nearby (either within hotel, or shopping arcade, or nearby malls) that have early dining times, that are suitable for family. We really enjoyed Shin Yeh, Shiling Shabu, Woollomoolo Dazhi Port for meals with our baby.

This could have easily been a 5 star review... but we were refused an early check-in for no good reason. We only cared because we were transferring from another hotel in Beitou and had to arrive before official check-in time, and we were hoping that our baby daughter could enjoy a nap in a crib. But we were forced to wait in the lobby. The room was ready, cleaned and all baby equipment inside. But they held it back just because of the official 3pm policy... If the hotel was actually full and there was no room to give us, I would fully understand. But they just made us wait for no good reason. It's only when our daughter (who was awfully sleepy from not being able to sleep) started making noise in the lobby, that they suddenly let us go into the room. Absent of this, we had a 5-star stay, but this was an unnecessary hiccup. It could easily be avoided, and I hope this was just a poor oversight from an inexperienced duty-manager on site.

This stay in Taipei Marriott coincided with our 9th wedding anniversary. I wrote to them in advance and soon received a reply from Mike upgrading us to a suite and providing a cake. It makes us feel genuinely pampered.

The suite is a corner room on the high floor with the living room separate from the bedroom, allowing me to work in the living room without disturbing my sleeping family. In addition, from the room you can see the full view of the Ferris wheel on one side and departing/arriving planes at Songshan Airport on the other, keeping my kids who came along very happy every day.

Furthermore, the happy hour buffet at the executive lounge was practically high enough quality to be dinner, with over 10 types of alcohol including my kid’s favorite Yakult. We’ve stayed for 6 nights now and the dishes change daily without becoming repetitive.

One day at The Dining Room we also ordered roast ducks which were sliced and plated table-side with great professionalism. The duck soup made from the carcass was also very flavorful. The fried rice we ordered for my little friend had nicely separated grains - truly recommended for all to try.

Lastly, many thanks to the housekeeping for helping with the sofa - my family is allergic so I merely mentioned needing 3 bedsheets when I saw them, but came back that evening to find the sofa fully lined with new sheets. This showed the professionalism and thoughtfulness of Taipei Marriott’s staff.

Currently feeling a little inconvenient is that, since it is not a smart TV, I am unable to play youtube and other programs for the kids. Therefore I recommend bringing a chromecast if you stay here.

Our six night stay has been an exceptional experience. The hotel has exceeded expectations with superb service and amenities. I will gladly return for future Christmas holidays and enthusiastically recommend it to friends and family as my accommodation of choice in Taiwan. My sincere thanks to the dedicated staff for making this holiday stay so enjoyable.

The Taipei Marriott Hotel may not be the most luxurious property within the Marriott group, but it offers all the essential services and facilities you'd expect. In terms of location, the hotel is not particularly convenient for transportation. Reaching the hotel from the airport requires transferring to other modes of transport, which takes a considerable amount of time. However, this also means the surrounding environment is relatively quiet, making it a great spot for an evening stroll or a bike ride.

The Executive Lounge provides both dinner and breakfast, with alcoholic beverages available during dinner hours. However, the overall quality of the offerings is fairly average.

During this stay, I stayed in a suite, which offered a very spacious area and was equipped with all the necessary amenities. From the room, you can enjoy a view of Songshan Airport, and on clear mornings, you can even watch planes taking off from the airport. The view also extends toward Taipei 101, though the building isn't particularly clear due to the distance.

Overall, the stay was pleasant, and I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again in the future.

I stayed at the hotel with my mother, and used my Suite Night Award to upgrade to a suite. I very rarely travel with my mother, and was really looking forward to the trip. The staff was friendly and breakfast was good. However, the room was very cold, because the hotel had decided not to turn on the heating despite temperatures of ~10 degrees celsius; I provided feedback during my stay but this was not addressed. Moreover, there was loud construction in the adjacent building, which I was not informed about beforehand. After my stay, I wrote to the hotel several times to provide feedback, request compensation, and have this matter escalated to the General Manager. However, they refused to escalate the matter appropriately, and offered no compensation except a larger suite on my next visit. The issue is that I have no intention of visiting again, given my experience. Given that I am a Titanium member and that my company has a large corporate contract with the hotel and have still been treated this way, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone - there are many more in Taipei that are of better value and in a more accessible location.

Marriott Taipei was a nice hotel with great roof top swimming pool until....a big cockroach was found in the guest room and how the front desk manager handled the entire incident.

Woke up in the middle of the night and saw a big cockroach in the bathroom and it immediately sped off and ran around the room. The front desk sent a guy up and it took him forever to catch the disgusting insect, then they had us switching to another room at 12:30am. My 6- and 7-years old were totally traumatized and was afraid going to the bathroom at night.

The next day, the front desk manager wanted to offer fried chicken nuggets and fruits to our room. I didn't take the offer since I already have the access to the Executive Lounge as being a Platinum Elite member. I didn't see the needs of getting more of what I already had.

Next morning, the front desk manager showed up while my kids and I were having breakfast. She said she's going to compensate 5,000 Marriotts points which equivalent to NTD$15,000 (USD$470) "according" to her. If you know the Bonvoy points well, 5,000 Bonvoy points is only equivalate to around $USD60! I couldn't believe my ears! I stayed calm and didn't say a word. I was shocked that she tricked me once again however I didn't want to cause a scene as we're in hurry leaving for a summer camp.

Very disappointed of the dishonesty and poor management of the hotel. I've stayed in so many 5 stars and luxury hotels, never seen a single cockroach in the room! This hotel is not located in the heart of Taipei anyway, stay elsewhere if you ever visit Taipei!

Dear sunnycE4835WR, Thank you for taking your time to review our hotel. We regret to hear that you had an unpleasant experience while staying in Taipei Marriott Hotel. Please rest assured that your comments are noted, and we will improve our team to offer you a more exceptional experience the next time you visit Taipei Marriott Hotel. Regarding the compensation of Bonvoy points, there might have been a misunderstanding during the explanation provided by our staff. While our service personnel mentioned that points would be awarded, we would like to clarify that the value is determined by a conversion rate of 10 points for every 1 US dollar spent. We sincerely apologize for any confusion this might have caused you. As one of the valuable members of our hotel, we sincerely hope you will give us another opportunity and stay with us again. Sincerely yours, Mark Liu General Manager

I write with gratitude for the great time and wonderful stay with Marriott for our 1st family staycation since COVID situation in May.

My 3 young daughters have been kept at home for the 3 months. They really look forward to the trip. I am really appreciative of duty manger, Eric Kung in promptly responding to my our many queries and allowed us a special upgrade of room type.

My 3 kids woke up early at 7am asking to go to hotel. We were so so happy when our Bonvoy apps prompted us of the readiness of room at 10.30am. Thank you, front desk team.

We enjoyed our visit to the lounge. As parents of 3 kids, I must tell you that we are so used to have service staff telling us to get kids to lower voices and/or run about I must compliment the executive lounge team for their professionalism and their patience. They were very nice and treated them with candies and subtlely telling them to behave. Thank you for being Kids friendly!

Our dinner, and day 2 lunch were paid with the vouchers and I must say the quantity is generous and quality excellent. Allow me to mention that the American + Japanese breakfast portion is really huge and delicious. Collection of food were orderly and the busy staff were very friendly and efficient. We did not have to wait long in all 3 occasions. To be honest, we were skeptical about the "stay for 3999 with 1500 meal voucher free" deal. We kind of think that some corners are cut or somehow, something should be compromised. Marriott proved us wrong! Service top class, meal Michelin standard and portion enough for hungry bears.

COVID has impacted and changed our way of life. I, in particular, am more cautious about crowds and gatherings. This staycation at Marriott changed my perception about hotel stays. Marriott showed me that one can still enjoy and be pampered in such unkind environment. The friendly staff and smooth operation resulting customers like us able to stay with ease of mind. No unnecessary waiting in groups/crowds during meal collections. All lounge snacks and food /fruits in separate boxes to ensure hygiene. Thank you for giving us, customers, peace of mind.

It is these small little things which I believe, the Marriott team put in Much effort, that contribute to a ease of mind for parents like us. I thank all the hotel staff for this wonderful staycation.

I congratulate Marriott in advance for I am sure that your room occupancy recovery is surely going to be one of the fastest. I strongly believe customers like me will be able to feel the sincerity of your promotion offers, service excellence and high standard of food and room hygiene.

Very honored to be a Titanium Elite of Bonvoy

Marriott Taipei is located in the city centre and a 40-minute drive from the airport, TPE. The hotel is moments away from shopping, restaurants, sightseeing, and public transport links and depending on where the rooms is located you will be able to to see landmarks such as Taipei 101 and the Miramar Ferris Wheel. The hotel has several bars and restaurants on the lower floors, and on the top floor, you will find a rooftop pool, a good-sized gym, and the executive lounge. The lounge serves breakfast 7am -10am and evening food and drinks 5.30pm - 7.30pm which are will worth a visit! The rooms are nice, big and modern, and I can thoroughly recommend the corner suites as they are spacious with great views. If you drive, there is complimentary parking for hotel guests. It is a great hotel for exploring Taipei.

Booked two king bed rooms , got two twin beds . Apparently in this hotel the king bed concept is two twin beds joined that’s it and if you complain about it the duty manager I spoke to gave me a bit of lip about it . Despite asking for his name multiple times it was never shared. Check in delayed by close to 4 hours staff was anything but apologetic. Construction and piling work going on in front of the hotel and the window an are NOT sound proof so welcome to a stay with a lot of pounding and hammering noise . Absolutely not caution or forewarning about this when making a reservation. Thankfully there are other Marriott hotels in the city for my future stays

This has been my go to hotel when visiting our office in Neihu. It was almost three years since I last stayed here and changes were smallish. For example, coffee is now self serve and the food selection in the lounge was simpler with more fried foods, same sautéed veggies almost every night, limited salad options, and no more gummi bears.

Room was still spacious, upgraded to a junior suite, and comfortable. A nice green feature was the use of bulk shower amenities mounted in the shower but the staff still changed every towel daily.

Gym equipment was well maintained but I noticed trainers were now working with customers. Pool was busier than normal on the weekends as the hotel hosted many tour groups to help fill up their rooms. This also impacted the breakfast line in the Garden Cafe.

Pool deck was still a good spot for the views of Miramar shopping center and the Ferris wheel.

Wonferful time at such a beautiful property . I spent my birthday with my hubby at Marriott Taipei, we always loved the Marriott Bonney brands so coming here is a no brainer. The room was beautiful with a spectacular view of the city of Taipei, the sky tower room at the corner is quite a treat ♡. The club lounge is spacious as well with many seating areas and a decent amount of food and beverage choices. Special thanks to the club lounge staffs, the room attendances, the in room dining staffs that are very welcoming and accommodating. Many thanks to the hospital and professional manager Mike Chen that made sure our overall experiences were well taken care of. We had a great time. We will come back again. Recommend.
