This hotel is quite big and is definitely at a premium, BUT it had a ton of free stuff. Self-service laundry, breakfast, supper, afternoon biscuits, bicycle rental, toiletries, 24hr self-serve coffee/tea/ice cream, daily room service, all these are FREEEEEEEEE. The room was clean, they even gave it to me early because it was available, with no reauest for additional charges or having me wait unnecessarily for 3hrs. I saw some complains about cigarettes from 4yrs ago but it was ok for me. I did smell some smoke smell possibly from cigarettes one night but thats about it. Personally, if they provided paid scooter rental and had a small gym, it would have been the best hotel for its price for me. Loved our stay here. Definitely recommended for your stay at hualien.

We booked online and found this hotel to be fantastic value.
Room was really nice with king bed as well as nicely appointed bathroom.
Included in the daily rate is breakfast and dinner, as well as snacks.
Food was buffet style and very tasty.
We stayed 2 nights and we were a little surprised that the food was the same both nights. But there was plenty of variety, so we were happy.
Highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed here for a few nights during a roadtrip through Taiwan.
Location: the hotel is quite close to the centre on a main road. You can take a metro to the centre and local night market not that far from the hotel.
Room: we had a good spatious room with a couch and table. The shower was more lf a massage shower which i had never seen before (see photo).
Service: the staff is very friendly. One of them helped guide us to the parking ( they have 2 parkings, one underground and one accross the street outside).
Breakfast and dinner: This is a big selling point and i understand why! The amount of choicesyou get during breakfast and dinner is amazing. They have good punch during dinner as well. There is even a soft ice cream machine (only available during certain times).
Overall an amazing hotel and i would stay here again.

This hotel was conveniently located, walkable to the train and bus stations. It's on a main road so you can hear street noise from the room but nothing too loud. The complimentary breakfast buffet and afternoon snacks (Ice cream and Chinese style crunchy snacks) were amazing. You can help yourself to coffee and tea all day. There is DIY laundry with complementary laundry detergent, but the dryers are typical for Taiwan and don't dry 100% so make sure you have time to hang dry. The staff was helpful and kind (living up to their name!) but I get the sense they are most comfortable in Mandarin and Taiwanese. Lots of families were around. A good base for checking out Hualien, and catching the bus to the Taroko Gorge.

I arrived with the train from Taipei just in time for the dinner buffet. In the morning before the tour to Taroko Gorge I had the breakfast and it was good with a lot of choice. The room was quite large and comfortable. The hotel was not far from the railways station convenient when arriving and leaving by train as it was in my case.

The hotel is clean and the staff polite and helpful. Breakfast, snacks, and supper included. Coffee and tea are also free. There was a friendly magician to entertain the guests during supper. He taught us tricks and made it fun for everyone! Thank you so much!

Easy to spot as it is yellow. Quick walk from train station. Large breakfast selection and snacks available in evening hours. Got family room that had 3 queen size beds and two bathrooms which worked well for a family of five. There was enough space.

I've already been four times at this hotel and can see that they're continuously trying to enhance and add some more extras.
The location is just a five minutes walk from Hualien main station where also the tourist shuttle buses (for example to Taroko Gorge) depart. Around the hotel you'll find convenience stores and several restaurants. The coastline as well as the great Dongdaemun night market would be about 30 minutes walk away but can be easily reached with the free rental bicycles from the hotel.
If you're already familiar with the "Kindness Hotel" group you'll know that their hotels usually have quite small rooms targeted at business travellers. This one however is much more a tourist hotel and provides spacious, modern rooms. If you're lucky to get a room with an even number you might have a nice mountain view (at least on the top floors). Otherwise the view is nothing special. Rooms are very clean and provide anything you need. The bathrooms have a nice massage shower. The only problem is noise. Unfortunately there are quite big gaps below the room doors and you'll hear everything happening on the corridor. A wet towel in front of the door helps a bit although not very much.
A huge breakfast with lots of choices of very delicious Chinese cuisine and a basic choice of western food is offered from 7 to 10am. They'll close the breakfast right on time and might even ask you to leave the restaurant and continue eating in the lobby if you're not finished soon enough. During daytime, free cake, ice cream, snacks and drinks are provided. From 8pm until 10:30pm the hotel offers a "late night supper" which is a bit smaller than breakfast but also offers quite a good dinner (recently they added some more vegetarian choices). After this late night supper, cake is no longer provided until next day's breakfast. Snacks will only be available until 11pm for whatever reason (should be no problem to leave them all night). Ice cream time however will not be limited at all.
As I already mentioned, the hotel offers free bicycle rental. The bikes are very small size with adjustable seat. For tall people it might be a bit uncomfortable but still works well, the general quality of the bikes is very good and they're also well maintained. Furthermore free self service laundry is offered including detergent. Be aware that the dryers don't work very well and clothes might still be slightly wet.
Overall, it's one of my favourite places to stay in Taiwan. Staff is very nice and also English ability is getting better every time I come back. If you visit Hualien, this is the place to stay. If you're travelling alone, you might want to call the hotel instead of booking a room online. They offer cheaper prices for just one person in a double room.

Large room with bath and showing. Free breakfast and dinner plus drinks and ice cream all day. It is very close to THSR Hualien station about 5 min walk and make sure you go to the front side of the station first. This is one of best hotel on our 2 week-trip in Taiwan. Highly recommended. By the way, we took the Puyuma tilting train to Hualien and Tze-Chiang Express train back to Taipei. Excellent rides. We hired a taxi form the Hualien bus station for our 6-hours Taroko park tour. The cost was very reasonable (USD 80) for six of us. We had great time at the park.

About 10, maximum 15 minutes to the night market. To Qixingtan Beach (did you mean that one?) would be a longer tour, shortest way maybe 45-60 minutes. I didn't try that one.
