A very nice cozy hotel with an absolutely awesome front desk staff. They are so nice and helpful. They cannot speak English well but try their best to help you and are so friendly, cheerful and very accommodating. Google translate made it easier to communicate with them. Shout out to Bonney at the front desk and another staff whose name I do not know. It makes you get a home like feeling staying there. It is walking distance to Dongdamen Night Market and is located on a quiet street and felt very safe. Breakfast does have a couple of veggie options, porridge, eggs, toast, green veggies and buns too with tea coffee and juice. They will call you a taxi anytime you need one. Room and the bathroom were a good size and were clean. Definitely will stay here only, anytime I visit Hualien.

We stumbled across this place on booking.com as we unable to find much information about it on TripAdvisor.
Upon arriving we were really surprised that this place has remained hidden for so long. Hotel staff are excellent and genuinely want to help; in particular the receptionist who greeted us when we arrived. She was courteous and very eager to help.
Fupin offers free breakfast, laundry and bike rental services.
Hotel rooms are stocked with all the usual amenities and quite spacious and clean.
The hotel located close to shops and places to eat and we booked a family room for only 3200NTD per night; great value for what the hotel has to offer.
Give Fupin a shot, you won't regret it.

We stayed here in december. Looked like we were the only guests We could pick our own breakfast every day. Location to taroko is 40 minutes by car. Location to downtown Hualien is 15 minutes walk. Shower was fine and we had an extra large bed. Clean. Very friendly staff who speak a little bit english. Wifi was oke. Tea making facilities in the room. Room was big enough. We were with 2 persons.

Situated in a quiet area, looking brand new, easy walking from shops.

Our corner room looked brand new and was clean and we had a big comfortable bed. We stayed only one night and were out all day exploring the town and the the big attraction.

With a very extensive breakfast and a service that could absolutely not be better we felt happy and welcome. Staff went out of their way to help and arrange a few things for us, despite the obvious language problems that we were able to mange somewhat with google translate.

This was a city on the second stage of our trip to Taiwan ,the first stage in Taipei was wonderful surprise .We didn't think we would be so lucky again .How wrong we were. We were met at the railway station by the Hotel receptionist and transported to the hotel hidden just of a busy road .
The hotel receptionists were brilliant service with a smile and grace a good start ,we thought the rooms were basic but new and brilliantly clean as was the shower and toilet .

Breakfast include in the price provide plenty of hot choice with cooked meals as well as Steam Buns ,fruit ,eggs lashings of coffee and choice of hot or cold teas .

Free bikes were made available which our son used to visit a nearby nature reserve .
My wife needed medical attention and the receptionists helped sort things out .
Housekeeping slick and obviously take great pride in their jobs .Hotel was spotlessly clean.Location is great for shops and meals, only 7 minute walk from the night market
and 2 mins from the artisan area at the Tourist Information
Overall on this trip we stayed in 4 hotels of which this was the cleanest and best value for money I cannt praise it enough. Our only complaint was we hadnt booked a longer stay in Taiwan.

The hotel is very central, about 15 minutes from the railway station. We paid 140 NT$ for the taxi. For other trips to the station, the hotel offers a shuttle service.
Pleasant reception staff, but the young lady on the desk when we arrived in the evening really needs to attend English classes.
The lobby is small - not really an area to receive friends in. There are free bicycles.
The rooms are medium-size, but ours (505) had only TWO coathangers, no wardrobe. BIG bed, though.
As the hotel is very central, rooms are overlooked by buildings across the street - not absolutely private unless you draw the curtains. The "bath" towels were rather small for those built on the European scale. As with other hotels, they are mean with toilet paper no spare roll... (does this mean certain guests steal them?)

Although the room was generally peaceful, there was noise from next door (503).
Excellent wi-fi reception.

Breakfast? On the first morning, the bains-maries were not turned on, so previously hot food was tepid. A fair range of Western and Asian cooking (even got scrambled eggs on the second morning!!) Various rice dishes, steamed buns (sesame, custard and also mince-filled), bread for toast, and plastic jam in plastic sachets. Chocolate goo in a big pot, also peanut butter. But ... no butter "we don't have butter at this hotel." As with almost all hotels, NO fresh local fruit or juice, just some sugary coloured water. Humph!

This hotel exceeded our expectations. It is located on a quiet street just off the main street with many restaurants in walking distance. We had arranged transportation from the railway by the hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who gave us many good tips during our stay and made us feel welcomed. The room was the largest and cleanest we’ve experienced in Taiwan. It had very good soundproofing and many windows. The bathroom was modern and very spacious. The buffet breakfast was very well prepared with a lot of delicious choices served in a clean environment. The pride of ownership was apparent everywhere. We really enjoyed our stay and can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed at Fupin Hotel for 2 nights to take advantage of its convenient location to the nearby Taroko Gorge National Park, only 30 minutes by car. The buffet breakfast was excellent with specialties like red date tea, warm soya bean milk, noodles with stir-fried eggplant and spinach, and served in a room with a cosy, clean and comfortable ambience. The central location also allowed us to walk to the night market and nearby shopping streets. We give five stars to the super-attentive and super-courteous reception staff - excellent customer service offering advice and assistance throughout our stay (bicycles, umbrellas, eating options, etc). Wifi speed was reasonable. The room made good use of its space, but the only negative was the shower cubicle leaking under the glass door so making the whole area wet. Not sure if this is peculiar to our room only.
