We chose this place purely because of its proximity to Giant bikes and the train station (we were arriving by train and planned to cycle the Hualien to Taitung route). It proved to be an inspired choice. We had a good value windowless room - much lighter than many window-ed rooms I've stayed in. Everything was clean and modern. The guy who greeted us couldn't have been more helpful. There were bikes we could borrow, umbrellas offered etc... We only had a night to explore Hualien but that was enough time to see the night market, walk by the sea and even have a few Taiwanese beers outside the beer shop just along from the hotel. Recommend.

Train station is a stone throw away! The room is huge, clean and well maintained. And of course, the price is right! Nothing negative to comment about & it's definitely a plus factor for a well-deserved getaway!

Check-in was hassle free as well and definitely will be back and recommended to all!

We stayed in Hualien for 3 nights. The receptionist, I assumed is the boss, was very nice. he introduced us to our room, which is absolutely clean and spacious and gave us recommendations on good eats around the area.

The BBQ food just infront of the apartment is delicious and suit our taste. the apartment is accessible from the train station and to other parts of hualien, if you want to walk around.
Getting to the apartment in Hualien is easy as it is just located opposite the library (this is what I told the taxi driver and immediately he knows where it is)

Highly recommended if you are looking for a clean and price worthy place to stay!

Note that the bathrooms in some rooms are transparent glass. we didn't know until we check in. Do check with the owner after you book. :)

We stayed a night in a standard double room (no window). Room was clean and spacious with nice, modern deco. Short distance to the train station was an advantage as we had to wake up early to catch the shuttle bus to Taroko Gorge. The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving details of local attractions and delicacies. Loved the welcoming tiramisu cake and local fruits! Will definitely recommend this to everyone who visits Hualien!

The hotel has an excellent location only 5min walk from the Train Station. It is about 20-25 mins to walk to the city centre, but we walked there twice. We had a lovely stay here and highly recommend it. I was a little worried about booking at a place with no room window, but the lighting inside the room is excellent and it was not an issue. We stayed 2 nights and were checked in by the very friendly Mollie. She helped us out with ideas on where to eat and maps when we arrived and a welcome cake. From showing us how to use the air conditioner remote and shower, no question was too hard and she made us feel very welcome. We had a room on the 3rd floor. If we ever go back to Hualien I will book back here for sure.

Hotel is just 5 minutes away from Hualien TRA station.

Exit towards the front station, go straight to the traffic light cross over then turn right. Go straight about 3 minutes (Around 200 meters). The hotel is actually opposite the Hualien Public Library. It's a white building in the corner.

The rooms are very spacious and big. Upon check in, the staff will give you a map and will introduce you to the popular areas to go and nice food places to try.

Just beside the hotel, there is a shop (Country Side Burger) that you can have breakfast before you start your day trip/tour.

We stayed 1 night at this hotel which was about 5 minutes from the HUALIEN rail station. The standard room was quite basic but big, comfortable and clean although it has no window. We have to go down to a room at the lobby to help ourselves to hot and cold water, and coffee and tea. The staff was very friendly and readily help us to get around the place, eg. where to eat and, of course, the night market. A good reasonably-priced hotel to stay.

for the price and location this was a very good hotel. it was clean and new. the front desk was helpful with how to get to tarok and the night markets and had a map showing lots of local eateries. at night when you come in they give you fruit and lemon juice. the no window didn't really bother me, but if you were staying for an extended period of time it might bother some people. it is a bit of a walk to the night markets as the location has moved, but very convenient for getting to taroko gorge and renting bikes from giant.

We stayed 2 nights in this hotel.

Like:
1) Location wise, it is quite near to the train station.
2) Hotel building looks new. Room is chic, spacious and very clean. Bathroom is also spotlessly clean. Bed is comfortable.
3) Friendly hotel staff. Upon arrival, he briefed us on the recommended food stalls in Hualien and also provide us with options to book cab/drivers to various tourist attractions around Hualien including Taroka Gorge, East Coast Driveway, etc
4) Free supply of coffee/tea/milo at the pantry next to the reception counter
5) The cleaning ladies did a wonderful job during our 2-day stay
6) Free Wifi.

Dislike
1) Location is about 20 min walk to the city centre.

"Anyway, some advice regarding room choice. Room 201, the room we stayed in, is facing the street and has a floor to ceiling window. Although I was told I shouldn't be able to hear traffic noise, I could (I have pretty good ears). Don't get me wrong, it wouldn't be an issue for 90% of people, but I used ear plugs. Also, although the room had curtains, this particular room had a clear glass wall separating the room and the bathroom/toilet (so, if you are squeamish about doing your ablutions in full view of your bedmate, request a room with a more private bathroom), and had a long window along the top of the wall without any kind of curtain. So, it is not a dark room. That being said, it seemed that 2-3 of the other rooms on the floor had no windows. So, if you want darkness, perhaps they would be better choices. One last piece of information to help you choose a room is that you can hear people above you. The person/people in the room above us seemed to be dragging the furniture around and bouncing a ball. If you are a light sleeper or someone who needs silence to get to sleep, then I'd request a room on the top floor (There are four floors with rooms on the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th. The 5th floor is actually the 4th floor due to the number 4 being unlucky.)."
