Anntiss hotel is really close to the bay, to the downtown of Hualien city. And even if you want to visit night markets here, it is quite convenient to departure from the hotel. But you will need a vehicle to drive or ride from Hualien railway station, it would be still quite convenient to rent a bike near there, and don't forget you'll need a license as well. With a new hotel, new room, new facilities, it nice to have such economical price. And also, airtight windows could provide you good quality sleep. The only pity is, they didn't have their restaurant decorated yet, so there was no breakfast and any dining service when I visited there in September 2013. Nice place anyway.

Me and partner originally booked one night but decided to stay for two after checking the rooms. We even got upgraded since it wasn't weekend. The staff really make it a big plus for this hotel.
It was a really nice experience staying at Anntiss for the following reasons: 1. We met three different receptionist , they were all really nice and helpful, which really added a lot to our stay. Good job ,all the Anntiss girls! 2. They provide new and nice bikes for guests so it was nice to troll around.
However, there are some disappointing facts. 1. Location: It was a bit far from the center...we didn't mind walking and they do have bikes but I guess we were just lazy. The best Thai/Burman restaurant in town is right next to the hotel, yummy. 2. No breakfast: we stayed from 18 to 20th of June, and there wasn't breakfast. Some other hotels that offer cheaper rates even provided breakfast so it was a bit off.

Nice and comfortable hotel in Hualien. The most I enjoyed was the nice ocean view from my room, felt good when waken up by morning sun and little breeze. We had the corner room which provide larges windows where the ocean is just in front of our eyes. Plus the room was spacious.
The disadvantages however are the location and breakfast. It's a bit far from the train station, but I planned a self-driving tour so I was okay for this. The breakfast was not bad but maybe a bit more selection will be perfect.
Overall speaking it's a pleasant place to stay and very comfortable.

This was a great place to stay! They gave us a free upgrade on our room to an ocean view. The room was incredibly clean and comfortable and there was a washer for laundry on the top floor. The wi-fi worked great, and they also included a breakfast. All of the staff was really friendly, and they were incredibly helpful in helping us book our train to the next city. They had free bike rentals and the bike path was just across the street. The night market was about a 20 minute walk, and the place to go buy tickets to see dolphins was just down the street. We had a really pleasant stay here and wished we could have stayed longer. The only negative about the hotel is location - you had to take a cab from the train station, and other than going on bike rides, it seemed like it was a long walk to get to almost anything else. However, I don't know if anywhere in this city would be a perfect location because the main locations are spread out. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Location is good and amazing decoration of this hotel that made me feeling i were in Europe. Staff was quite nice and thoughtful, think in advance which provide me very comfortable and relaxing feeling to stay. Room is very good condition and clean, also with a wonderful view toward harbor,excellent design of elegant atmosphere. A MUST stay hotel that highly recommand worthy staying! Really a home away from home!!

The staff was very supportive and efficient! Will definitely come back! The location is a 20 minute walk from the hub of the city! Hotel is small, but rooms are clean nice and quiet! Wifi works great! View of the ocean from some rooms! I will definitely return. We loved the place!

My husband and I have enjoyed our stay at the Anntiss hotel tremendously. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. Our room had the ocean view and it was spectacular. As soon as I stepped into the hotel, I felt right at home. The hotel is newly renovated, so the facilities are brand new and the rate is unbeatable given the room condition. We are newly wed, so we were traveling on a budget, but this hotel fit all of our criteria: good location, nice view, awesome service, all for a good price.
We've stayed at various hotels during our 10 days stay in taiwan, but this hotel surpassed all others. The owner has put a lot of thoughts and care into designing the hotel. You can tell by looking at the details everywhere in the hotel. It's a small hotel, but the staff know you by name and they go above and beyond in providing exceptional services. The relationship was very personal.
I don't know what kind of mattress they used, but I've had a very restful night of sleep. Of all the places we visited, this is definitely the hotel we'd go back to and I'd recommend it to my friends any time if they go to Hualien
