My husband biked around the island this is second to the last stop. Came with our 3 year old boy by train to meet him.
Staffs were very attentive, price, probably due to Corona Virus was really reasonable and food tastes great specially the deep fried salmon fish !

This was the first time booking this hotel. Check-in was relatively smooth and the staff are very helpful. There is also an in-house Starbucks corner if one needs a quick coffee fix. Rooms are spacious and the showers are great. There is also a laundry room and bicycles for rent. The location of the hotel is challenging to get to if one commutes by local buses from the Hualien train station. After alighting at the nearest stop, it takes another 10 min walk to get to the hotel. There are many local eateries and shops to get to in the vicinity, and it is a 20 min walk to Dongdamen night market. Overall, I would recommend this hotel.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Overall value is good, the staffs are extremely welcoming. But the wi-fi they provided is not usable.Super slow and cannot load anything. Also there are some broken outlets in my room. The one in the bathroom is very annoying.

The stay was great, much much better than my expectation. The room was spacious and clean! The welcome gift was thoughtful and delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful! I love there are laundry machines and dryers.
I would like to recognize the staff member who was at the entrance by the door at the evening shift of 8/22( Tuesday) and the security guard at the shift as well( the staff member left at 11pm and I didn’t get to know his name) I had friends visiting me at hotel. We were having dinner at dining area. He came to collect the trash after we were done eating without our asking.Then I had hard time to get a taxi to send my friends home. They were making many phone calls to get them a taxi and explaining the situation patiently. They were doing their job professionally, thoughtfully, and their help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
I like to recommend Ramada Encore hotel to everyone who wants to stay in Hualien Taiwan. We enjoyed the stay there and definitely will go back again!

My room had what looked like blood stains running from the door to the bathroom. I wondered why the cable wasn't working and discovered the set top box was hanging by a thread of wire - it worked when set in the right position. I filled the kettle and boiled it, but it leaked out all over the table, floor, and my stuff. It also had a cable worn down to bare wires, so I was lucky to have wet stuff instead of burnt stuff. Breakfast was good, at least.

We booked this over booking.com and get stuck here for two nights. The air conditioning panel has no option to turn on the room temperature. It is stuck at 21 regardless. Had to call the receptionist to come turn the vent piece 1 by 1. i have never see anything like this. the wind is still blowing...terrible. if enjoy 21 degree in a cold rainy night, book your way. i think this is the hotel for the Chinese tourist group. do a bit more research and go somewhere else.

Hualien is most beautiful town in TW surrounded by mountains from three sides and sea from the fourth. The location of hotel is good. About 10 min by cab away from train station. Pretty much in the center of city with everything at walkable distance. They also offer bikes for zero rental fees.

We stayed two nights here. The rooms and common spaces were clean and new, the whole hotel has a sleek modern design. Nice-sized fitness room, although we never saw anyone else use it. Only negatives were that the staff wasn't very knowlegeable/helpful when we asked for local dining recommendations, and that the complimentary breakfast didn't have many Western options (plenty of Asian/Chinese foods though). The location was pretty close (10 minute drive) to the train station and the small local night market.

This is the first time we stayed at this hotel and I was very impressed.
Several days prior to arrival, I messaged the hotel (as I saw they provided free airport transportation while we are arriving via train) and asked whether they will provide train station pickup. They quickly responded (within a day) and informed me they will provide shuttle service!
We arrived around noon time and the store the luggage at the hotel before we can check in at 3. Hotel staff gave us a downtown map with restaurant/souvenir stores and gave us recommendations.
Room is spacious and clean. It has free laundry!!! (even provide laundry detergent). Gym is also spacious with bike, elliptical, treadmill, etc and kids like the foosball at the gym. The weight training machine needs some attention (I saw one of the cable broken). Game room is under-construction unfortunately.
Breakfast has good selection.
The 3D picture was fun. We took pictures from different angle to show other family members as they are interested how it was done.
Overall a great experience. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Hua-Lien.
