Detailed Reviews
Room is quite clean. The breakfast type is a given a voucher to McD (burger&tea) or chinese breakfast like bakpao which is not delicious. Better go for McD.
Location is good in city center can walk to many stores like clothing stores, souvenir stores like mochi etc. Not many restaurants there but this hotel is walkable to dongdamen night market around 10mins by foots and we walk there to have our dinner and snacks there..

Located at central of Hualien city. All the nice foods located around you for sure.
Atmosphere: Quite old fashion hotel but still comfortable.
Location: Great, at central of Hualien city.
Service: Staff were friendly.
Amenities: Lacking of emergency kits in the hotel. May suggest to put them as we shall not compromise safety for sure.

Overall, this is the most expensive hotel we stay during our round trip in Taiwan.
The location is good. Walking distance to the market area and shopping (street market).
The room are rather small and the air cond is not that cold.
Could be auto set or we don't know how to set it.
Small room, not that spacious compare to other hotels that we stayed prior reaching here.
I am not sure of other hotel around this area as it was arranged by our tour guide.
It could be the most value for money hotel available here.
Friendly staff (though bit blur) and a common area for gathering.
You can collect your complimentary breakfast (buns/bao zi) from a local store (less than 5 min walk depends on your walking speed). Expect some queue as is a famous local bun store here.
Won't think is a bad if you're not particular or picky.

Room Tip: Try request room further to the back, should be less noise. Avoid near to the lift.

Hotel bed is comfortable but the toilet is dirty. Can tell that they only use water to rinse the floor and did not use cleaning detergent to wash the tiles. Dim lighting in the toilet and room too.
Will not go back again.

We arrived at this hotel drenched and bedraggled and ended up staying 3 nights until the rain abated and allowed us back on our bikes.
The staff were wonderful, ushering us and our dripping bikes into the foyer, and making our stay here very comfortable. The room (702) was spacious, clean and we'll appointed with fridge, large tv, kettle, aircon etc. Breakfast (included) is via a voucher for a local Taiwanese eatery or McDonald's (both close by).
A short walk takes you to the night market (which, unfortunately, was deserted and 95% shut when we were there due to the weather). There is a good selection of restaurants, noodle bars and shops very close)
We were also treated to a "hot pot" meal at the hotel at no charge
We enjoyed our stay here and a very welcome escape from the rain (back in a tent tomorrow!)

Support hotel for the day excursion in Taroko NP which is located a few kilometers from the city, where we stayed for just one night. Large, clean and well heated room, with a huge bathroom. Economical price. Downstairs in the common room there are tables and bars for relaxing and a range of free food and drinks.
