Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in Jan 2024 while visiting nearby Taroko NP. This was a short walk (5 min) from both the train station and bus station, so that was the main attraction, along with the cost, when we booked this stay. We arrived late at night by train from Taipei, but had no trouble finding our way here. The only unusual part of the check in is that the actual hotel room was across the street in a different building, but not a big deal. The hotel and the room are not new but are well maintained. Room size was very good and the bathroom was decent (great hot water/water pressure, loved the bidet). A nice surprise was the wonderful Chinese breakfast that was included for one our two mornings. Quality and variety was quite unexpected. This was probably one of the lowest priced hotels we looked at when planning our two week trip but easily one of our best choices.

We stayed there for 3 nights while visiting Taroko, the room was decent but the bed was rather firm. Not sure if the walls were thin or this group of old people were particularly loud but it can get quite noisy. Breakfast was a good spread.

we booked through trip.com and it was usd35 per night including breakfast for 2 person.
The room its not so big but better that the business hotel in tokyo. Room very clean, free mineral bottle water everyday. The breakfast is just ok but for what I paid its totally worth every penny and more. Highly recommended budget hotel.
p.s. the hotel provide free bicycle rental for 2hours gives enough time to go to the night market.

KKS Hotel was a short, 5-minute walk away from Hualien station and was easy to find. The location is particularly convenient if you're looking to head to Taroko Gorge as the tourist bus for the area also departs right outside Hualien station. The hotel is situated in a quiet area so we had no problems with noise at night. The room was a decent size, contained basic amenities and was clean. We would definitely stay here again if visiting Hualien, it was great value for the price we paid.

Located near the Hualien station and car rental (just about 5mins walking), KKS hotel is a good stay and worth paying. The hotel provides wifi router for each room and free laundry service. It is easy to find Kks from far away thanks to the electrical name box on top.

Ok Hotel. Close to Train Stion. Decent room. Not our favorite shower as it was designed to do sitting w a handheld wand. No shower door or curtain which makes a mess of your bathroom. Breakfast included but limited to 100% Taiwanese foods.

Reasonably clean for a budget hotel at this price, good for 1 or 2 nights stay.
Hotel looked like they've refurbished before, bathroom was clean and shower was good, I like the bathroom more than the room.
My room was near the lift and was noisy when some tourists returned late from their drinks.
5mins easy walk from Hualien train station.
Staff were not rude but not as polite that you would expect from a hotel reception.

Hotel is 15 minutes' walk to Hualien railway station. Near to many bento and muah chee outlets which service passengers arriving or departing by trains. Hotel room we stayed is spacious and comfortable. Nothing to complain about. Toliet is average size with shower screen. Only disadvantage is quite a distance from the shopping triange and the Nanbin beach area.

If you want a spacious quiet hotel room and friendly staff, then KKH fits the bill. With its customer base of senior citizens, you are guaranteed a peaceful stay and a good night's sleep. The hotel also offers bicycles for guests, on which you can cycle to almost anywhere. It is possible to cycle to Qixhingtan beach about 5 km away.
KKH is also near a 7-11, gift shops and a trendy coffee place called Anna Coffee and Tea.
The hotel made it a point to provide local drinks and snacks to visitors everyday. Breakfast was mediocre, mostly made up of local favourites of porridge and side dishes and the odd sausage/bacon dish, but still quite good.

Room Tip: Wifi was intermittent, so if you need it in your room, best get a room on the second floor.

The hotel was nice with friendly staff. The breakfast had a large selection of food and drink. Wish it was a bit more kid friendly though. Laundry services were free which was a huge bonus. Location is good as well. Only down fall was that the beds were incredibly hard.
