The hotel is a 10 minute convenient walk just across the Hualien train station. There are no nearby eateries other than the nearby fastfood TKK Chicken at Hualien Station. The McDonalds, Pizza Hut and Subway sandwich restaurants are about a 20 minute walk away along the main streets. We stayed in a comfortable 4 person room with separate bath and toilet facilities within the room. Packet of snacks, beverages and bottled water are provided in the room. Wifi was good and breakfast spread was reasonably good. While most entrance to the hotel is easily recongisable, it is puzzling why their main hotel entrance doors don't look welcoming as they resemble full length aluminium walls and we walked passed once when searching how to get into the hotel. Uber is not available in Hualien unlike the bigger cities in Taiwan, so either hail taxi's on the street or use their local Taiwanese taxi app that works similar to Uber as you can state locations in English and these are automatically translated to drivers. Their taxi apps also allow you to choose a specific driver, no language barrier and are hassle free.

We checked in 01/11/2023 and out 01/13/2023.

Liked: close to the train station, free bike, well-kept, clean, good breakfast.

Disliked: the 2 twin-bed room is a bit too small.

Good value and recommended.

This is quite a funky little hotel, only a short walk from Hualien Station. The rooms are spacious and clean. One unique feature is that almost every power outlet is universal, so if you forgot your travel adaptor it's quite likely you will be able to plug your power cables directly into the outlet anyway.

Breakfast is predominately Asian-based with some Western offerings. Some of the hot food like chips and chicken nuggets were lukewarm rather than hot which was a little bit disappointing, but I was mainly interested in eating the Asian dishes anyway.

Interestingly, housekeeping was not provided every day, only every second or third day. I am not sure if this hotel policy or based upon the package I selected. Either way, it wasn't really an issue.

The cosmetic products provided smell quite nice too :)

Shame shame shame... I almost have a very good impression with this hotel, again “almost” I repeat. The location is good, right opposite Haulien train station, very convenient because next to 7eleven, room amenities are good, room size just nice. What else I should complaint about this hotel, almost none, if this does not happen. On my 2nd and 3rd night, after wake up, I realized my skin is ihcy with red spot, like bitten by small bugs.,I highly suspect its coming from the bed, dirty bed or the bed cover. Not sure which is which but overall, my last night was a disaster! I check with receptions where is the nearest doctor or pharmacy available and the receptionist does look very helpful. The other receptionist ask me to confirm if this is coming from the bed, I said suppose to be. She looks confused and do not know what to do. She didnt even apology but she keep asking md to confirm if this is from the bed. Will I recommend this hotel? Not really, go find other near by this hotel.

Rooms are very large, we were given 2 queen beds and there was still a small couch and floor space for our suitcases. The bathroom is also very big with seperate shower, bath & toilet. Very plain looking though - no decoration inside the room itself and bathroom has a bit of mould.

I checked into the hotel on 6th Feb, which was when the biggest earthquake hit Hualien at night. the room I had was the deluxe double with bathtub, which is quite luxurious for the property. lovely bathtub, room is a bit small but indeed cozy. sadly when the earthquake hit everything broke in the room and water from my tub spilled out into the living room. that said, the staff remained friendly and very helpful to the guests who were all running out into the open area opposite the hotel outside the Hualien station, which is 1min walk away. they kept everybody warm by giving out quilts and towels. the earthquake continued throughout the night, and the staff kept being attentive. the hotel luckily was a new construction, so it was mostly unscathed apart from broken mirrors and a few leaky pipes. I do hope that it will recover as soon as possible, so I may come back again in the future if possible - though i still probably got PTSD from it.

We arrived late in the evening and was checked in quick by a great receptionist. The room was of OK size, the wifi was working well, the bathroom and shower was good, and the bed OK, but a bit hard as many beds in Asia are.

The hotel breakfast was also of great variety, both asian and western style.

Located close to the trainstation, and there is a 7/11 next door.

Recommended!

I really wanted to like this hotel. It was very modern, and they had many cute touches on their furnishings, furniture, rock climbing walls. All of the thought put into the designs and layouts of their rooms, washrooms, lobby. It was a really cute first impression.

I absolutely LOVE the soap, shampoo, and body wash line they have in this hotel. It smells AMAZING. It's called cha tzu tang I believe, wow. I couldn't stop using this line here.

This hotel was very conveniently located only a few minutes walk from Hualien train and bus stations. Must try Hualien mochi! The peanut and sesame ones were our favourites. Gongzheng baozi was really good too, order the baozi, dumplings, and soup. We also enjoyed the night market! Not packed like the big nightmarkets in Taipei, but also has good food.

We were in room 503. The beds weren't that comfy.. found it hard to sleep. Going into the rooms, our carpets were stained with some red splotches and other colours it looked like they tried to clean it but it didn't come out. I think it's worth spending money to replace the carpets, because this is a horrible impression on guests. Now my impression went from clean, modern hotel to modern but too cheap to spend money on maintaining impressions. Please pay money to clean the floor! It looks dirty.

Also, the hotel staff should speak more English it was kind of difficult to communicate with them. And they were so stringent on the 3pm check-in time when clearly their capacity seemed low. But they had many of us waiting in the lobby until 3pm on the dot, which was annoying.

They do have luggage service which is a plus.

The day pass to Taroko Gorge was worth it, at 250NT if you plan to visit there. You can only buy it at the Hualien bus station.

The gym has two pieces of equipment, so it's not much but it does the job.

The hotel's location is superb. Very close to Hualien main TRA station and bus terminal to Taroko. I booked a standard double room but was given a bigger tripple room with one double bed and one single bed instead. I was planning to go to Taroko early in the morning so I chose the hotel based on its location. Because my husband got sick somehow and the weather was bad, we decided not to go and had to go to the station to change our prebooked train ticket early in the morning before checking out. The hotel's proximity to the TRA station came in handy again.

The breakfast was good with a lot of varieties but not so many people I saw at the breakfast room though.

Would definitely come back when in Hualien:-)

The hotel is in a very convenient location. The room is a bit small, especially the toilet is extremely small. The overall experience is fine, i don't mind to stay there again.

The reception staff at night was quite cold face but the morning staff are very friendly.
