The Moontain Hostel is the new concept of accommodation in the mountains to live and share a unique experience, solo, couple, family or friends ... Happy wedding of the hotel and the hostel of Youth "new generation", focused on the meetings and the peaceful atmosphere, this new type of accommodation, originally rather urban, is a first in the mountains. No lodging, no hotel, no hostel, no resort ... it's a MOONTAIN! A universe, experience and emotion, that take you far beyond a mere night. The 18 rooms, decorated neatly and contemporary, have 2 to 10 beds each.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

The staff is super welcoming and makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive.
The mountain chalet atmosphere of the common areas is very warm and cozy. Sofas, armchairs, tables and benches are available to relax. The reception counter also serves as a bar, with local beers on tap, more than welcome when you come back down the slopes (pints at 6-7). A nice adjoining breakfast area/restaurant is present, with more than affordable prices (12th full buffet breakfast, 5th express formula with 2 croissants, 1 hot drink and 1 fruit). Outside, various pallet lounges, garlands, and even a brazier for the most barbecue enthusiasts! A ski room is located at the back, accessible from the outside as well as the inside.
The dormitory rooms on the 1st floor have everything you need. Bunk bed with sheets available (the bed must be made upon arrival), 1 wardrobe, 1 electrical outlet + 1 USB socket propped up on a small shelf with a personal light. The shared showers, just opposite on the same landing, are clean and functional. Little idea for an addition if ever: a hairdryer! :)
The hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Oz ticket offices, the city center and the Poutran cable cars. However, a small ski lift (Clos du Pré) is located just in front of the hotel and allows you to pick up the cable car directly on your skis, both on the way there and on the way back.
In summary: go there with your eyes closed, you will feel at home.

Great atmosphere and welcome! Delicious hearty and healthy breakfast. Possibility of making your own fresh orange juice. Buffet with almonds, walnuts, dried apricots, muesli... as much as you want, even with milk jam. Varied, seasonal and hearty evening meals. Very pleasant room. We even received an extra lamp for our small living room which we found a little dark.

Normally I don't write a review quickly but the few days I stayed here changed my mind. I had such a good time here and there is such a chill atmosphere that this is the ideal place for solo skiers and young people. Outside peak times, I recommend visiting this hostel, as it is not too busy and the staff is a lot more flexible with check-in/out times. I also recommend not staying in your room in the evening, but just chilling downstairs in the common room.

After selling us a seminar for 85 people, the hotel finally cancelled our stay, after several weeks without news, even though everything had been organized in the resort of Oz. No solution has been proposed. After much negotiation, we have been granted that only 60 people participate, leaving 25 people on the side of the road. No compensation was offered. No empathy, no understanding of the situation it causes. Our lawyer's letters also went unanswered...here is a professional who does not assume his responsibilities and engages in constructive service-oriented behavior. Unfortunately, it is better to ensure your accommodation in this resort by choosing another place that will not cancel your reservation at any time. The location is great, and right at the start of a green ski lift. The rooms are big and have very useful black-out blinds to allow you to sleep. The whole establishment is kept very clean and sanitary by the staff. The breakfast is not fancy but very filling and delicious. You can even make your opwn fresh orange juice.
But ultimately, the thing which sets this place apart is its staff. They are fun, helpful and always available to make your stay comfortable.
