Had the weekend with two other couples staying at Belle Vue Boutique Lodge. From the minute we walked in and were all welcomed by Liz and Steve our amazing weekend started. We were shown around the Lodge and it was more than expected. We were given a bottle of bubbles, cheese platter, box of chocolates and amazing three course dinner (which we could hardly eat... so much beautiful food) and then the next morning such a lovely breakfast. The rooms had stunning views of Lake Taupo and to a very high standard!! Would recommend this for a lovely weekend away with friends or a special night away with partner.

Recently stayed here for only one night but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were made feel welcome upon our arrival and also provided recommendations for dinner. We enjoyed an abundant continental breakfast in a wonderful dining room with a view. Rooms were well appointed with a fabulous view from the veranda. A cheese platter was also provided at check in which was great to have a nibble on the veranda and admire the fantastic view. Would definitely recommend.

A fantastic place to celebrate something special. From the moment we arrived, we were cared for, nothing was any trouble, both Liz and Steve go over and above to ensure your stay is perfect.
Room was great, beautiful decor, wonderful views over the lake, while sipping champagne. Contentsof the room ranged from a nespresso coffee machine, to chocolate biscuits, and luxury bathroom toiletries, everything has been well thought out.
Food, plenty of it and delicious, my favourite was the home made muslei, main meal of lamb shanks Devine.
Fully encourage you to stay and enjoy this lovely couples home and soak up the quiet atmosphere. A total friendly place.

We had the most wonderfully relaxing stay at Belle Vue Lodge. After a busy few years we needed a break and we decided that we would opt for the full package which included a bottle of bubbles and a platter in our room, dinner and breakfast the following morning.
Dinner was a luxurious affair – the food was immaculately presented and, more importantly, absolutely delicious. The lamb shanks were amazing and the dessert was just incredible. Breakfast was delicious too and was a great way to start the day.
The room was well appointed and had every need covered. The hosts, Liz and Steve, were super friendly and willing to do whatever was needed to make our stay enjoyable.
Belle Vue Lodge comes with our highest recommendation.

This place is amazing, this is a colonial style house with style and charm, the owners are super friendly and nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are lovely well furnished and have a balcony over looking the lake, the gardens are very nice to walk around and full of nature. We had a dinner the first night that was ridiculously awesome, great portions and sooooo tasty. The breakfast is continental granola, yogurt and fruit, toast with all the jams and marmite, orange juice, coffee etc. 5 minutes from the falls and the town centre but far enough away to have all the piece and quite. Off street parking, wifi and great tv.

During our road trip to New Zealand, we spent 2 nights in this magnificent residence. Unanimously (we were 2 couples), the favorite accommodation of our entire stay. Everything was simply PERFECT! Warm welcome and lots of little touches from our hosts, Liz and Steve: courtesy tray (cheeses and cold meats), coffee, tea, sweets… Their villa is in the heart of a beautiful, meticulously maintained garden, the rooms are spacious, the beds cozy, the view of the lake sublime. The breakfasts are plentiful and varied. And what about dinner! take a look at the menu, all the dishes were delicious. Beautiful table with silverware service. In short, it’s classy! Belle Vue Boutique is located just outside the small town and you can easily access all the activities we did: cruise on the lake to admire the Maori sculpture, walk to admire the Huka Falls, visit to the Orakei Korako geothermal sites and Craters of the Moon and late afternoon relaxation at the Wairakei Terraces and Thermal Health Spa (towels provided by our hosts). Only regret: far too short stay with Liz and Steve.

Liz & Steve are the consummate hosts and make your stay a well-run pleasure. The lodge is beautifully furnished and appointed. The balcony and chairs outside each room on the veranda are peaceful and a pleasure to sit and have a wine (or 2). The lodge does do a 3 course dinner and the food is superb and I would not bother going anywhere else to eat. Luxury pillows and a king sized bed make for a great sleep. A pity there is not an EV charge point, as the few in Taupo township are under heavy use with tourists.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at this beautifully renovated lodge to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. From the classy guest lounge and dining room to the 4 luxurious suites with a balcony overlooking the gardens and the lake - a pretty special place. Our room was spacious and had everything you would need with a super comfortable bed and beautiful bathroom. Awaiting us in our room was a superb platter, bottle of bubbles and a box of chocolates. The 4-course dinner made by Liz was fabulous, and presented beautifully (note: leave plenty of room for this!) Could not fault a thing. A short drive into Taupo for sightseeing activities making this lodge well placed accommodation for that special treat. Thank you, Liz and Steve for your wonderful hospitality, and will definitely recommend you to friends.

From the moment we arrived we loved our two night stay at belle Vue. The lodge and gardens are presented with elegance with stylish touches that you could tell were thought out everywhere. Liz and Steve were great hosts, friendly and welcoming. The quality of the food the icing on the cake. The rooms were generous and had everything you could need, plus things you did not know you needed. Sitting on the balcony overlooking Lake Taupo in the early evening with a wine or two was just the type of relaxation we were after to celebrate our wedding anniversary. regards Terry and Jodie.

A great location, beautifully presented lodge , internally and externally. The food and presentation are excellent. Sensational view of Lake Taupo from the window and balcony They have a sign on the wall saying "little things matter" and that seems to be their attitude towards their guests .
