Detailed Reviews
This place is absolutely tops for the cost. Incredible. Exactly what is says it is - an education centre style lodge. We had a huge group and everyone loved it, there was so much space for people to chill out in different areas, lots of games for the kids, excellent well equipped kitchen facilities and we never ran out of hot water for the showers. It was warm and cosy too. Based in the perfect spot to access both Turoa and Whakapapa so we went to both places determined by the weather of the day. Could not recommend this place more highly. Thanks so much to Shona and Dean who made the booking and follow-up when we arrived perfect.

Perfect location for our social club ski trip!! The price point is "no frills" but it has many luxuries you couldn't get elsewhere - fireplace surrounded by comfy couches, pool table, tennis table, piano, massive drying room... it worked awesomely for our mixed group of adults and children. The location is perfect for skiing either side of the mountain. Shona and Dean manage the lodge and their friendly, helpful nature really made the trip special. Would definitely book again!

A beautiful place located in a peaceful off road setting. It has spectacular views of the mountain with a very cosy, homely feeling to it.
There is a common area with rooms that cater to any sized group! We had a very large group of about 30 people and it was still large enough to not feel confined.

This lodge is great for large groups of family and friends. The kitchen and cooking facilities made it very easy for us to cater for our group of 30+ people. The wood burner fire was also a lovely addition too after a cold day on the mountain.

Great place, smack bang in the middle of both Ski fields (Whakapapa & Turoa). Commercial style kitchen + kitchenette in the back. Great time fillers available, ping pong table, billiard, ten pin bowling pins and balls, fooseball table, fireplace and heaters throughout. Absolutely enjoyed my time here.
