Such a lovely experience, just what we were looking for, nice light bright cosy warm accommodation, nice warm friendly hosts, thank you Justine. We will definitely recommend your place to friends & family. Slope Point is a must-see on your visit to the Catlin Coast. Cheers from Viv & Murray.
Stayed 2 nights in the cottage and absolutely loved it. Spent 2 days down in the Catlins doing some photography and there was nothing better than spending the day out photographing things and then coming back to the cottage, putting the fire on and just relaxing in front of the telly. The cottage is clean and tidy with a great outlook. Very good value for money and would defiantly return.
A great stay! Thankful to be accommodated when our first booking at another location fell through at the last minute. Justine was so warm and accommodating. The kitchen had everything we needed, it was quiet, there was a heater in the room, everything was so clean, the shower was wonderful and it was beautiful. Would happily stay again!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Great views, piece and quite. Great owners. We would highly recommend this stay. We were moved to a different place than the one we arrived at but was very happy to do so.
This was an excellent place to stay the night as part of our trip around the Catlins. Communication was easy and booking a room at short notice was a breeze. The reception was friendly and helpful on arrival. The rooms were clean and comfortable as were the kitchen and bathroom facilities. It is just a very short drive down the road to Slope Point, the most southerly point of the South Island. Curio Bay is only a few minutes drive. Overall, a very enjoyable and comfortable stay.
Our family had a lovely stay in the holiday house. It was so peaceful and quiet and had everything we needed. It's a treat to look out of the window and see sheep grazing in the paddock, or go feed the pet sheep back at the main house. Justine and her daughters were very friendly and kind hosts. Great location for exploring the Catlins, and we saw penguins at Curio Bay. Definitely recommend!
Slope point accommodation is a lovely little place. Justine and Bob the dog are very friendly and welcoming. I booked on the day and she text me to say it was all confirmed and to take my time on the way over so I could see the waterfalls on the route! Good location - short drive & walk to the Southernest point in NZ, 15min drive from Curio bay so a chance to spot rare penguins in the evening (sadly they didn't show up for me though!). Not many amenities nearby though so stock up before you arrive! Very clean and a nice homely feel in the backpacker bunkhouse.
A hidden gem! We loved our stay here and cannot wait to come back! The place was clean and cozy and had everything we could possibly want at a very affordable price! We were greeted with warmth and friendliness. Our only regret is that we had so many places we wanted to see that we didnt spend nearly enough time to enjoy the farm setting! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone! Well done to our hosts!
Last week I spent 3 nights at Slope Point Accommodation and had an outstanding experience! This wonderful place is located on a beautiful working farm in the rolling hills in the Catlins, close to the southernmost point of New Zealand’s South Island. So, the scenery is incredible! It is no more than a 5-minute drive to Slope Point and special views of the ocean! More importantly, the hospitality of the owners, Justine and Andrew, is even better! They are very friendly, kind and compassionate people who do their best to make you as comfortable as possible during your stay! The facilities are superb! The kitchen and living room are both spacious and comfortable! The rooms are well designed and very clean; the beds are comfortable! Guests experience a very tranquil and calm ambiance. I highly recommend that, when visiting the Catlins, strongly consider a stay at Slope Point Accommodation!…
We stayed at the Farm holiday house which was situated by itself further down the road. It was great to have a lovely fire in the woodturner which was all set to go.. This was a one night stopover and we were enjoying the drive down the Caitlins a must do. Next morning was down the end of the road to slope point. Fabulous..
