Beautiful house, the size of a palace ! Easy to find and the I terior are to die for. Great price and helpful staff. Situated on a block k of land of the beaten track, very peaceful and quiet. It had a magnificent view over a little lake surrounded by willow trees.

Lovely B&B, beautifully made and comfortable beds with lovely linens. Tuscany Downs is a lovely place to stay, the gardens are a delight and a credit to Greg. You are welcomed here by Greg, Nicki and their daughter and a warm welcome it is too. The accommodation is spotless and very comfortable, plenty of fresh towels and guest toiletries. One of the stand out highlights are the amazing NZ breakfasts, superbly prepared and presented by head chef Greg, who will even prepare a gourmet evening meal on request. Darfield is a quiet, yet well catered for town, with restaurants and stores. Ans as you would expect in NZ, everyone is friendly and always happy to chat. Tuscany Downs is a spot of luxury in a great location. Highly recommended.

We had a truly wonderful experience at Tuscany Downs. Beautiful large room with balcony. We had dinner and breakfast each of our two days and they were amazing. Personally cooked by our host. Would highly recommend.

We stayed just one night in the Oak Room on our way back to Blenheim. The room itself was clean and the bed was very comfy. It would have been wonderful to explore the grounds but, sadly, the weather was awful. We were met by Steve who was charming and very welcoming. On the Tuscany website it promotes the wonderful food cooked by Glen the owner - this seems to be no longer the case. Our breakfast was a self service effort comprising boxed cereal, Pam’s tinned fruit, yoghurt and toast. Whilst this is adequate for some we did feel a little let down as we were expecting a higher standard. An evening meal is also no longer offered. I wonder if it might be an idea to amend the website.

Had a wonderful stay for one night at the Tuscany estate. The property is situated on a farm with sheep, ducks and chickens and Glen gave us a great tour. He made us breakfast with almost all ingredients sourced from the farm and it was delicious! They also have an adorable house kitty which made the stay even extra special. Would highly recommend!!

We had a very comfortable stay for one night. The manager, Glen, and his wife Nicola, made us feel very welcome and Glen is an excellent Chef! The breakfast was very good and dinner was truly excellent.

Our stay at Tuscany Downs was an invaluable one, having found ourselves in NZ under unfortunate circumstances, the kindness shown to us by Glen and Nicki made us feel so much more at ease, going above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Glen's cooking is exceptional, never did we leave our accommodation hungry! The rooms are beautiful, with incredibly comfortable beds, accompanied with stunning grounds, a pleasant sight to wake up to every morning. Overall, I would highly recommend Tuscany Downs, not only as an exceptional B&B, but as a home away from home.

The property is beautiful and immaculate. It is a great base to visit the ocean or highlands of the South Island, or simply stay and enjoy the grounds, pool, etc. But the true treasure is Glen and Nicki. They are simply the kindest people you'll find. They make Tuscan Downs not accommodations, but a home away from home. Be prepared to gain weight as Glen is a world class chef. We left feeling we were leaving family behind, not many places you stay can make you feel that way in 3 days!
