We stayed 4 nights and fell in love with this lovely B & B. The home, rooms and gardens are extremely well presented and the views are just stunning! It is an extraordinary peaceful setting! The Okura Bush Walk is very close by and is just the most amazing enchanting walk through the forest to a small cove. It is a must do! The owners, Don and Deb are the most loveliest hosts making the stay so complete!!! Highly recommended to all!!!

We had a wonderful stay here and the setting was amazing. The views were truly stunning. If you want to find a beautiful, quiet place to stay in Auckland this would be it. The owners were lovely and very welcoming. Our room was very clean and comfortable. There is a lovely room where you can mix with other guests and we found this was a great way to meet other travellers. It is in a beautiful country setting but a 5-10 minute drive takes you to the motorway and Albany. We found it a great place to stay, would highly recommend it but obviously you would need a car.

Don and Deb are welcoming in every sense of the word. The property is in the country with beautiful views of the estuary. You can watch the tides come and go. There are large areas of common space so you can relax either inside or outside. The house is immaculate and very quiet. We will return for another visit.

The B&B is in a beautiful location; sitting outside having the breakfast one can see river estuary and birds on the lawn, including an ash heron walking very seriously. Everything is immaculately clean and comfortable. Good bed, large bathroom, separate toilet - at least in our room #4. Don and Debbie, the owners, are very pleasant and helpful. I do hope they will not sell to those Russians offering the fortune, and that we will be able to return and have a glass of wine with them.

Stayed for 4 nights as a couple. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. Lovely bedroom with ensuite ,comfy bed real home from home, with so many little extras. You have the use of a well equipped kitchen and lounge with tv,plus another lounge with the most stunning views of the tidal creek, free wifi also .Help yourself continental breakfast included ,great selection of everything ! The hosts were absolutely fantastic, so friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble, a huge thank you for a wonderfully relaxing stay. I was working in Albany whilst here which was a short and easy drive, no comparison to staying in oe of those awful old motor Inns that I have stayed in before, This was wonderful in every way, to be able to sit outside with the ever changing view, fabulous.

We stayed here last night and we were blown away by the beauty and hospitality. Set in a tranquil setting overlooking the Okura Estuary. Welcome chocolates in every room. Breakfast was self serve family type cold meats and fresh vegetables together with a coice of breads to toast and orange juice. Tea/plunger coffee facilities avaliable all day. Beatifuuly appointed rooms with fresh cotton sheets. I love children and have my own but it was nice to know this was a child free place. There is another small ottage, however where families with children are welcome. Large kitchen to use if required and out door areas to sit and take in the scenario and sound of native birds. 6.4 kilometers from Browns Bay, North Shore of Auckland.

During our journey across New Zealand we stayed 1 night (wish it was more!) at this B&B - a very good decision. On our arrival, Don greeted us and showed us around. The quietness of the place and the views are just fantastic. The room was spacious, light-flooded and very clean. We sat on the veranda and gazed at the surroundigs and watched the birdlife. The layout of the property is very smart, there is a well-equipped kitchen (with fridge, oven, plates, all kinds of knives, toaster, etc. on one end, and a big living room-style lounge on the other end - that's where you get your breakfast and tea/coffee is provided all day round. With only four rooms, it is always possible to find your quiet spot or speak to other guests if you like.

The garden is lush and well maintained, and has access to the river (tidal-dependant). Don and Deb offered us to try their kayaks (for free!) and soon we found ourselves on the beautiful Okura River - it was a remarkable amazing experience.

Don's horses are nearby. We don't do horseriding or know anything about horses but the horses looked very well-looked after and Don offers horseriding tours.

We can definitely recommend this place. It is such great value for money - outstanding experience overall!

Just 40 min from the airport you are away from everything. Wonderful place to recover from jet lag, quiet and beautiful views for sunrise and sunset. Lot´s of birds in the area
and a good point to start trips around. Very good breakfast, bathroom was breathtaking,

We traveled with our friends from Australia and they had booked 2 rooms, easy to find via GPS and the accommodation and setting really special. Breakfasts more than sufficient and only warning is watch tides and don't walk on the tidal areas, could get stuck. Parking great and easy access, few lounges to relax in and common fridge for guests to use. TV for sports fans and entertainment. Lunch and dinner at restaurants or out and about, and hosts great folk, highly recommended.
