We stayed at the appartment (No. 101) next to the reception. The accommodation was good, cleaned every day, towels and bed sheets were changed after three days. Our programme included 3 meals a day. It reminded me of the food at the socialist youth camps. If you are not so nostalgic, go for the private restaurants, there are four of them on the territory of the resort center. The nature, water and the beach with three piers are very nice. One thing can, however, spoil your holiday - an endemic theft on the beach. Do not leave your belongings unattended even at paid sunbeds, they are bound to be stolen.

The area is very beautiful and perfectly maintained, the trees are magnificent, lots of flowers. However, the area is packed with buildings and cottages, looks like the owner wanted every single square meter to make money for him/ her. As a result, there are very many people, and the whole place is very busy and quite loud. The food served at the hotel's restaurant is awful, definitely, is not worth the price you pay for board and lodging - almost no vegetables and fruit, mostly potato, mayonnaise, sausage, poorly cooked meat. Another disappointment - we were on a business trip staying here and discovered that food is served during very short fixed timeslots and the restaurant is very reluctant to give you a lunch box with the food you paid for. I would recommend taking your food with you or eating somewhere else. The hotel is more suitable for young people as it is loud and crowded, but I would not choose it for my family with a kid. The price is very high, but the service and food you get there are not worth it.

Raduga has a nice and clean beach. The resort offers several restaurants and has a convenience store with everything you need. The V Beach club is nice and has good food. The water of the lake is very healthy and when you come early in the morning, the water is very clear. There are quite some children, which are often loud and who do not know how to behave themselves, which obviously is the fault of the parents. So if you want a quiet time, avoid this resort. If not: certainly come here.

We stayed at Raduga over the weekend, we fell in love with the environment. The gardens are beautiful, well cared for and manicured. Rooms are comfortable and furnished adequately. The bed is as hard as a rock, it was almost like there was no mattress. I actually lifted the sheet to see if there was a mattress. The views of the sea and beach front restaurants were amazing. We had booked our room with food package, that was a big mistake. The food was not up to par, at one breakfast the bun I got was as has hard as stone, probably left from previous day. The chef needs to take some cooking lesson. We were served, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I didn't enjoy any of it. n

Nice resort Hotel. Must be very crowded in summer season. About 10 people were in the resort. Check in was smooth and receptionist was very helpful. Rooms are soacious and was warm and ready to check in . There was no bar available so we came prepare bought some booze from supermarket. Had a good guide. Had a dinner on arrival , it was local cuisine and it was tasty , Big Bathroom , clean and hot shower. breakfast is normal nothing special.

The rooms we stayed in at the Raduga are showing their age but otherwise it is a very nice place to stay. I believe though that we were staying in the cheaper accomodation available at the resort, some the other options looked quite luxurious. It is In a quiet green location close to the beach. Bed could have been softer. Facilities at the resort are excellent. The resort has beautifully manicured lawns and rose garden beds. There are several bars around the resort and the beach areas and piers are excellent. A good place to stay.

We booked several rooms in advance as were travelling 3 families together, the rooms were not ready, fan broken, lacking towels. When asked reception to solve the issues, were told that they ran out of towels, and there is nothing they can do. Lunch and dinner were very poor, just 3 types of salad that you cannot offer to your child, soup unbeatable and main course that none of us was able to eat, no fruits. Strict economy in everything. When complaint manager said "what can I do, eat what we offer and dont make fuss". Well certainly, this is a proper service for a resort positing itself as high standard and almost as 5 star. Money paid for nothing. Wouldn't advise for anybody.

The place is nice very well kept gardens, fresh air. The food and the overall service however is simply disastrous. Dishes are not up to the standards you are paying for... just one example last night the restaurant had no water .... really get some catering lessons

The lake is beautiful, the snow-capped mountains are a majestic backdrop. The resort is generally very well kept, especially the outdoor spaces. The outdoor pool was under construction but it looked as if the works were almost finished. My room was OK, there is no A/C or a fan, temperature-wise this is not needed, but there was only a tiny window to open and it was impossible to get the warm, stale air out and the fresh mountain air in. The mattress was terrible, the springs were no longer flexible and they were close to the surface, causing some discomfort. Currently, there is a lot of construction going on, close to the entrance of the compound and directly on the lake shore. I did not like the food at all, the restaurant has only freeze-dried coffee, for an espresso you have to go (and pay) to a small bar. I was there a week before the season begins in July. It was nice and quiet, but there were definitely preparations for the season - banana-boat rides and such. So if you don't like this kind of entertainment and the accompanying noise, stick to the off-season. Check your bill. Overall, it is the beautiful outdoor space, the lake and the mountains - the rooms and the food are not living up to the price you pay per night.

Raduga Resort has a bit of a throwback Soviet feel to it but it is a decent resort complex on Issyk kul lake. The center offers stand alone cottages or rooms in dormitory style hotel buildings. I stayed in hotel room and it was basic but clean and functional with own private bath. The bath was small but adequate. The front desk was very stiff and formal. My building was a bit of a walk from the reception area and at first they were going to make me walk to the building but another guest got on them and said they should give me a ride with a golf cart they have available to take people to the rooms -- which they eventually did. The dining hall was part buffet style and part pre-determined entrée. It was a bit confusing but needed to make a reservation or tell them when coming to eat in order to be seated and served. The food was decent enough with a Russian flare. The grounds are very nice to walk and relax in and the beach was nice with jettys with decks could walk onto and swim off of in the lake. I did not try the pool or nightclub so cannot comment on those. Overall interesting stay while traveling around issyk-kul lake.
