Went there for a week everything is what you expected but the resort is about $40 from the main town so we end up spending $300 on taxi alone. But if you decide to stay in one place then this is a good resort to go to. Special thanks to Zaniel who is the chef of the resort he makes the best omelettes he also kindly took us to the bus stop as there was no bus on a Saturday in front of the hotel at least not for another two hours. We tried to use the bus as we already spent too much on taxis. The staff in the restaurant were also very helpful and I loved the LOVO they had which is like a BBQ. Josh is also very nice guy who gave some good advise and asked whether I wanted to go to a trip with him but I was too drunk to get up the next morning. Bonus is that they also shouted 4 beers to us on the last night as we already settled our bills and the next morning our flight was 8.30am and had to leave at 6.30am so they say don’t worry about it it’s our compliment. Cheers bro.

This could be a great resort if there were a few tweaks made. If you're planning on staying at this resort, I strongly recommend you have a hire car. It's out of the way in a very quiet area which is great if you want to be away from the main tourist hub. About 20 mins drive from the airport. The rooms are very spacious but that's about where the room niceties end. The mattress was so hard that I had to use the spare blankets in the wardrobe to make a "comforter" so that it was bearable to sleep on. There are 2 showers in the room, 1 that is semi indoors leading to an outdoor shower. Unfortunately my "indoor" shower had no hot water so I needed to use the outdoor one each day. The rooms are not sound proof so I could hear everything my neighbour was doing in their room. House keeping would attend your room but not actually change any linen or towels or replace things like the empty tissue box or toilet paper unless you asked. Wifi in the rooms is essentially non existent and doesn't really work in the public areas either. Great if you want to switch off from the world. Breakfast is essentially toast and/or eggs to your liking and a few soggy Hashbrowns. Only 1 side of the toaster works so there sometimes can be a delay in getting your toast cooked. Dinner menu changed daily but had good options. The pizzas are delicious and meals are reasonably priced for a resort. Shout out to the F&B staff, they really made the place feel like a nice place to be and forget the little things that were off in the room as far as the basic comforts.

We booked a week here for the family and had 2 chalets. One on the beach and another a bit further back. We loved it, pristine beach good snorkelling and fish feeding in the river as we keft breakfast. A large pool but we really didnt use it as the sea was so lovely and safe inside the reef. Full board was more than acceptable with a lovely breakfast and a decent choice for dinner and lunch. Children eat free and get an early tea. Our chalet was 10 steps from the bwach and very spacious with a nice veranda and small hammock. Twin showers and sinks and a large plunge bath open to the sky was a wonderful addition. Can really recommend this place as a family holiday resort and the nightly entertainment was always fun.

Hubby and I stayed for a week and were left disappointed.
On entering our room, it was evident that only a half clean job was done with muddy footprints, empty beer box and dirty bath mat left in the shower.

Rooms are a good size with 2 showers; 1 indoor and 1 outdoor.
Housekeeping does not include fresh towels or bed change, but only top ups if needed for shampoo & conditioner.

There was no TV in our room, which is fine if you don’t want one, but Hubby wouldn’t have minded watching the news and some football ( I know; 1st world problems 🤦🏻‍♀️)
There are no clocks ( again; fine if you are on Fiji time)

Very remote so you will need to hire a car or taxi into Nadi and/Lautoka.

The menu for lunch and dinner change everyday and breakfast was a serious non-starter.
Food (lamb sausages and bacon) was cold, milk was curdled (2 days in a row).
Eggs are made to order and come with a small hash brown.

The staff were all pleasant but seemed to lack enthusiasm and direction.

The place has so much potential but lacking in vision.

Happy hour is half price drinks from 6-7pm
Take advantage of it as the cheapest beer is $10.50AUD

A delightful retreat into tranquility. The ambiance was relaxing, and the staff was truly amazing, providing service with a smile that made the experience memorable.

The remoteness of the location is both a blessing and a curse. For those seeking a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle, this is a perfect haven. However, it might not be the ideal choice for those who prefer more accessible amenities or attractions. Just being honest, this is not a mark on the resort.

The room was wonderfully spacious, offering a comfortable sanctuary to unwind. New furniture was delivered the day we left which showcased the hotel's commitment to updating its accommodations.

One aspect that left room for improvement was the WiFi, which was disappointingly spotty. In an era where connectivity is crucial, this became a bit inconvenient for staying in touch or catching up on work. We viewed it as the Universe telling us to get off our devices anyway. :)

On a positive note, the beach location was fantastic. The serene waves and sandy shores added to the overall charm of the place, providing a picturesque backdrop for relaxation.

Our overall experience was a happy one. The gracious staff, spacious room, and beautiful beach location overshadowed the minor inconveniences. With some improvements in the WiFi department, this could easily become a top-notch retreat for those seeking total peace and tranquility.

We spent five nights at this adults only paradise in a hotel style room. The room (131) was huge with plenty of space. Our room was behind reception so sometimes you heard comings and going’s but not annoying. There were approx seven couples staying at the same time which you saw mainly at mealtime. It was very peaceful, relaxing and tranquil. There was a different menu each day for lunch and dinner with meals being delicious and plentiful with variety. Chef Peni came out and said hello to diners most nights after cooking food. Breakfast was good which we ordered freshly cooked yummy omelettes and eggs. Staff were all wonderful and friendly. A special shout out to Princess Lea who took take to learn your name and greeted you every time you saw her with her beautiful smile and service. Marina 3 - 4 min up the road by car offers another meal option which was excellent and being a great spot for watching sunsets. Limited cultural experience compared to other resorts but other reviews did note them. Landers Bay resort is highly recommended if you looking for a relaxing peaceful holiday where you will be well looked after with good meals, staff and facilities. We will be back.

This has been renamed Landers Bay Resort & Spa.

I really enjoyed this resort. $30FJD taxi ride from Nadi. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean, with good AC, clean bathroom facilities, and an inside/outside shower. Just beautiful. Right on the water, the little beach is right there. Breakfast was basic but different things could be ordered. Dinner was very nice too. No TV, but the internet was super quick. It was nice to catch up on some reading without watching the TV. I actually liked it better without a TV.
Great pool facilities, we used the kayak to do a bit of paddling. Reception would call a taxi that was never more than 5 minutes away. Short drive into Lautoka to get to the shops. Not many people when we stayed so it felt like we had the resort all to ourselves. We would absolutely stay here again.

Despite the resort being somewhat secluded away from the local townships and the influx of tourism traffic that was pouring in during school holidays, it was very much an enjoyable experience and the hospitality by staff was beyond outstanding. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable, safe and beyond satisfied. The facilities were great, our room was serviced daily and we thought the food was excellent. It wasn't very busy which was fine. We enjoyed the quietness and the relaxing nature; by reading a book on the beach or swimming in the pool, snacking and listening to the music. We thoroughly enjoyed the activities that were organised by Nimo (staff member) eg, kayaking, coconut demonstrations, cocktail making and crab racing - to name a few. We were able to rent a vehicle on the same day (organised by the staff - thank goodness!) and ventured out to explore more of the island and the culture. By far, the staff and their hospitality made our stay very special. It was youth week while we were there, and Nimo invited us to his village to partake in a fundraising event where we also ate one of the best BBQ meals we've ever had! We also drank kava which was a great experience. You can't go to Fiji and not have kava (for the adults of course)! We got an up close and personal insight of what village life is like. Especially the culture, customs, and language of the people. It was beautiful. And we were invited back to the village for church on Sunday, which was also a wonderful experience. We were very well looked after and highly recommend Landers Bay to anyone looking for accom on the island.

This resort is run by and with local Fijians. This leads to two different results: one is given a very friendly and warm welcome, and so is the entire service. But there is no international standard. Everything takes a little longer and not everything is perfect. The bungalows are a bit old, but always clean. Even the technology is not up to date, the air conditioning works, but is too small for the rooms.
Breakfast is ok, fresh fruits and egg dishes made to order. Dinner is very tasty, the variety is not great, but everyone will find something suitable.
The best point is the calm. Barely more than 20 guests, a large beach and pool, you always find your place. Kayaks are freely available. In the evenings, there is occasional entertainment. Be sure to participate in the cavaritual!

My husband and I have stayed at the resort for 7 nights over this Christmas holidays and we had the opportunity to slow down, relax and recharge. The staff members go way beyond their main jobs to make you feel welcome and also to give you a sense that you are part of the Hideway family. The resort is located away from Denarau and the limited transport options to move around the island is a bit of an issue but if you are just looking for a place to connect with your inner self and relax, that will be a good place to go. There is still room for improvement with the food choices, in particular vegan options.

No hideaway Vuda is their new resort closer to Nadi haven’t been to this one yet but just left the old hideaway 3 weeks ago and had an awesome time as usual some of the staff from old hideaway work between the 2 resorts and from all reports it’s pretty good albeit a bit quiet as they are still trying to attract new customers but we might try a couple of days there next year
