From the moment we arrived at the Royalton Grenada we were overwhelmed by the beauty of the location, the safety precautions in place, and the friendliness and professionalism of all staff members.

We were traveling for my birthday, and found our room decorated with a lovely message from the staff and cakes left as a surprise. Our room was an ocean view, and it was amazing waking up every morning to the tranquil waves.

Both pools were stunning, with multiple beds available and fresh towels replenished constantly. Every day there were enough activities scheduled to keep you entertained, or the ability to just relax on a lounger and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Food was varied and fresh, and you never felt bored with four restaurants to choose from. Our favorite was Taj, the indian restaurant, but all had great dishes. Temperature checks and hand sanitizing stations were in place every time you entered a restaurant each mealtime, which made us feel safe and able to relax and enjoy the vacation even more.

Night time entertainment was also great and varied, from silent discos on the beach to traditional Grenadian performances.

We enjoyed a massage in the spa, which had great facilities and a very peaceful atmosphere.

There were also great fitness options, from the full gym to daily classes like aqua fit and morning yoga. Jeremy was an amazing instructor and we really enjoyed attending his classes each day. Keeping up with his high energy aqua fit classes every morning made us feel like we could enjoy our meals even more!

Being so close to the airport, we were worried about the noise, but despite being a 5 minute drive away, we never heard a single plane.

We had our COVID tests done on-site for our return to the US, and the procedure was quick and efficient.

Overall, we were blown away by our experience at the Royalton. All of the staff were so friendly and genuinely wanted each guest to have an amazing experience. We cannot wait to return!

We stayed two weeks in a Diamond Club Sea View Junior Suite, Room 20413 on the fourth floor.
The hotel is a very short taxi ride from the airport but the positioning is such that there is minimal aircraft noise at any time.
From start to finish we were treated like royalty and nothing was too much trouble, all staff were incredibly friendly and did their utmost to ensure we enjoyed our stay.

The room was modern and comfortable with a decent rain shower (albeit we prefer a bath tub) and a lovely balcony with a great view over St George's and the sea.

Diamond Club guests are allocated a butler and Sean was terrific arranging restaurant bookings and a day tour and always making sure we were OK.
There are simply too many staff to mention all of them but pool service from Jamie and Brad was excellent at all times.

The complex was busy when we arrived at New Year but in our second week it became much quieter so not all the restaurants (other than the buffet which we found had an excellent choice whatever the theme) were open so you did have to make sure you booked in advance. All the three other restaurants, French, Italian and Indian were of a very acceptable standard and as well as the "house drinks" the additional wine list was reasonably priced and did not deter us from upgrading our wine on some evenings.

There were a couple of negatives, firstly that it was not possible to link our Marriott Bonvoy account as we did not book directly with Marriott (so no points for our stay) and secondly the noise level around the Diamond Club Pool.
The Pool area is very nice with a Jacuzzi and very comfortable sun loungers.
The daily programme of entertainment usually included very loud music which was not too our taste and did not seem to appeal to most of the guests. We enjoyed the early mornings particularly when it was at its quietest.
There is another swimming pool at the other end of the complex but it is not so naturally breezy there and no direct access to the beach.
The Diamond Club facility is excellent at well worth having and snacks and drinks are provided all day in the ground floor reception.

Two of the restaurants are open at lunchtime which cover for all tastes.

In spite of some of the negative reviews we have read we were very pleased with the Royalton Grenada and would certainly consider returning.

We came here for our honeymoon, I emailed prior to our arrival to see if we could pay for a upgrade but we had no response, on check in there’s a section titled ‘special occasion’ which again I put honeymoon but nothing was done until our friends mentioned it to reception a week into our stay.
First I will start with the positives and the only reason I’m giving it a 4/5, this is down to the staff who work tirelessly to ensure you have a pleasurable stay, they were all very friendly and very accommodating. I would like to give a special mention to the vibes team who were amazing & to Andel & Shaun on the bar who always made sure our drinks were topped up 😁.
Sadly the negatives outweigh the positives, the main complaint being that the main pool was only cleaned once during our 10 night stay and this was only because other guest had complained 3/4 times before anything was done, the water was cloudy and many times we got to the pool really early there was plastic glasses at the bottom of the pool, also lots of leaves and sand which to me shows it’s not cleaned regularly (management will tell you it’s cleaned daily).
Onto the food, snack bar was great but sometimes ran out of things due to the amount of day passes in, we never had a bad meal at the Italian but the French was very disappointing and we sent our meals back numerous times due to it being undercooked.
Drinks on the standard package are weak and never tasted as if there was any alcohol in them, the diamond package definitely had the better choice as the premium brands were included on their package.
To top it all off we were told we couldn’t get a late check out until day of departure, I went down to reception at 8:30 to be told our room wasn’t available for a late check out even though the hotel is less than half full, spoke to management who was useless and basically said that yes the hotel was less than half full but our room type was booked up. We knew we had to pay $10 per extra hour but still they didn’t bother looking.

This hotel is a 3* at best with 5* staff, would not recommend this hotel to anyone

We visited the Royalton in April/May 2022. Lovely hotel and grounds, nice position but no where really to walk to near the hotel - apart from the airport which is literally 3 minutes away! No airport noise at all, occasional plane taking off but barely noticeable.
Hotel fairly new and well laid out, but there are lots of stairs. we did at least 10,000 steps a day! Rooms clean and modern but not that big and bathroom on the small side. Can't open door if bathmat in front of shower.
We paid extra for a Luxury Ocean View room and were very disappointed with the first room we were given, Block 13 floor 1. Yes I could see the ocean, but we had a much better view of the air con units of the block in front. We were changed to floor 3 which was better but still had lovely view of the air con units. We met people who had paid the same and been given rooms in the block in front with uninterrupted ocean views, how does that work?
Pool areas both lovely, we went to the noisy pool in the morning to do Aquafit with Jeremy and Kelson - great fun. Spent the rest of the day at the quieter pool or beach, both lovely and a lot quieter.
The beach was a bit disappointing in that the sea was quite rough and the entry to the water quite stony. May have been because of the constant wind, which was cooling but made the sea quite dangerous at times.
Most of the restaurants were good, particularly Grazie. Taj was absolutely freezing due to the AC being on too high but food ok and Ma Maison the portions were tiny but mostly tasty. Buffet was good for breakfast but we avoided at night as prefer al a carte for dinner.
However there were some concerns, mainly with the hotel management:
Housekeeping: On 2 occasions our room wasn't cleaned at all, on the second occasion (day before we left) we were given 4 hours late check out free in recompense the following day. However no one else seemed to be aware of this and we were constantly hassled to get out of the room so they could clean.
Wine: On several occasions we were told there was no Sauvignon and on at least 2 occasions they ran out of white wine completely - this is a five star luxury hotel!
Restaurants; several times we were told some items weren't available. Amazingly on our last day they had run out of English breakfast tea! We had bags in our room but none in the buffet.....
Overall we had a decent 10 days, nothing to write home about and a bit disappointing after a 2 year enforced travel ban.

The staff was so friendly and helpful they couldn’t do enough to insure my stay with my wife at the resort was perfect. The pool perched up high was incredible. Food and booze was very good and the location was excellent only 7 minutes from the airport. The evening entertainment was very professional and most enjoyable. Front desk personnel were exceptional and so attentive to all our needs including changing our room to ground level no elevators and my wife has knee issues

We came to Grenada to take in the West Indies v England test match and were so pleased we chose the Royalton. It's a beautifully maintained resort, with management and staff ensuring high standards of cleanliness in the gardens, public areas and guest rooms.

Overall, staff service was second to none, everyone we came into contact with was friendly and helpful and we were always greeted with a cheery 'good morning/afternoon' etc. Too many to mention individually but those who particularly engaged with us include -
Daneka, who went out of her way to help us check and then to upgrade our room location
Quinton, who entertained us while taking us to our room on arrival)
Annier who kept our room spotlessly clean
Ramona, Janelle, Candace and Jada at the Restaurants and the restaurant manager Felipe
Denver at Water Sports and also the attendant at the Water Sports desk (didn't get his name unfortunately)
Maurice at the Excursions/Towel Desk at the main pool, also Whitney and Tishona for keeping us hydrated at the pool
Then there was all of the Vibe Team running the daytime activities, particularly Ray J, Antonio, Prince, Whitney, Shadrach and DJ Fluffy. Considering it was only Ray J's 2nd week in the team he was extremely competent and confident and even remembered our names each time we saw him!
Also Jeremy and Kelson whose aqua fit classes we particularly enjoyed.

Evening entertainment is varied, e.g. live bands and singers, a pianist or a dj/karaoke and there is a weekly Beach Party with fire eaters, limbo dancers and a silent disco.

The only room for improvement in our experience was to do with the restaurants. Although the quality and choice of food is very good, sometimes the food was not as warm as it should have been. Also, as we were not Diamond Club guests we sometimes found it difficult to eat at the speciality restaurants without a long wait time, although staff did their very best to resolve this for us.

Hopefully the resort management will work on these matters but other than that, we would definitely return to the Royalton Grenada in the future.

One final thing to add, is that if you are looking to do any excursions or need transportation during your stay at the Royalton, we would highly recommend Dave’s Tours. Dave is based at the Royalton so can be contacted via reception, although we booked with him before our arrival through his FB page. Dave is a lovely guy, very knowledgeable, interesting and entertaining and he gave us as much time as we needed at each location on our bespoke tour.

From the moment myself and my grandma arrived we felt like we were in paradise, we were greeted with a welcome cocktail and our temp was taken and vaccination status verified. We had been allocated a queen bed and the lady at the front desk (princess) kindly offered to change our room type to two doubles and that suited us better. We had to wait for the room to be ready so we were escorted to the coffee shops to get snacks and drinks while we waited when our room was ready our luggage and us lol were transported to the room. The room was beautiful and clean just like the pictures online.
Myself and my grandma had such a good time we really clicked with Esther in hospitality (food and beverage) she was so sweet and went above and beyond every time. We also had a lot of fun with the entertainment team Antonio, ninja, prince and Dj fluffy were so funny and cool and the silent disco on the beach was a lot of fun. They went out of their way to make everyone feel included

My daughter and I went with friends to celebrate high school graduation. End of May/Beginning of June was a great time to visit. The resort was not crowded and there was always a friendly staff member around to help us with anything we needed.

Fun activities were hosted daily by the main pool with music, evening entertainment varied nightly, and daily activities like beach core workouts and pool workouts occurred daily. There was a lot to keep you busy based on your interest (we were able to snorkel right off the beach as well) and several off site excursions available as well. Lots of space at the pools and beaches to spread out and be part of the community or relax by yourself.

Our rooms were cleaned daily so we always came back to fresh towels and a refreshed mini-bar.

The trip from the airport was very short and it was easy to get a taxi as we walked off the plane. As a diamond club member I was handed a rum punch and lunch at check in.

Areas were well kept and four young females felt safe and respected the whole time.

We had enough food options and variety to be well fed but if you are more of a “foodie” you might want to plan some trips offsite to check out some of the local food options.

We would definitely recommend though and plan to come back again!

I chose the Royalton because I stayed at the location in St. Lucia and it was a wonderful experience from the staff to the entertainment. This resort can’t compare! For several reasons;
Problem 1: the staff made you feel like you were doing them a favor when asking for drinks or asking them to tidy your room. I was at the pool and a waitress came over and asked for empty glasses; I did not think she was talking to me because I just got there and they weren’t mine; when I realized she was talking to me I said “oh those aren’t mine” she says she doesn’t want to “bend down” so can I pass them to her. As I said this was the attitude from many of the staff and I felt this was only geared towards patrons of color who they deemed “young”
Problem 2: I was there to celebrate my birthday and planned a 8pm dinner on the beach on March 5th ; we did not get our meal until minutes to 10 PM because they had one waiter running back and forth to a kitchen a little distance off and he did not seem to know what he was doing so yes; we sat outside near the ocean from 8-10 waiting for a meal with no apologies or monetary compensation. We also discovered the meal came from the all-inclusive menu at the Italian restaurant and the majority of the wine offered to us was out; so what did we really pay for? When it came to desert, I the birthday girl did not get apple pie because “they ran out” not surprised even though the waiter Omar, asked all of us what we wanted as if they had enough.
Problem 3: I booked an excursion through Royalton Excursion for a private tour for $231. I was told to wait for my driver. I asked if I needed to pay downstairs or charge it to the room, he said to pay the driver. I thought nothing of it. Upon return the driver asked for cash and told me he’s a taxi driver hired through the hotel. I did not know this and did not have cash; I was using a Credit Card ; I thought he was a Royalton employee and asked front desk for help; their response “the excursion isn’t part of the Royalton so they can’t help” it is called Royalton Excursion this was very disappointing. They offered me an advance cash and wanted to charge me a 10% fee which I refused because this wasn’t my fault. The driver then had to drive me around to various atms to withdraw cash which did not work. He finally took us to a friend of his store to use a charge machine. THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE. Do you want to hear or read Royalton Excursion response? “ It’s my bad, should of told you the guide accepts cash” I will be contacting the resort directly as well.

The Vibe Team at Royalton Grenada is second to none!

Everyday and night you can look forward to them bringing the fun and excitement on the beach or in the theatre.

After they provide a full explanation of how a game or activity works, they're looking for willing participants to join in the fun, which just added more laughs to our vacation experience.

Whitney is outstanding! She sounds like a professional DJ on the mic and somehow remembers everyone's names day after day!

This is coming from Ian or Ice from Toronto along with the ladies 1C and 5C; )

Our visit to Royalton Grenada was wonderful, Whitney and the Vibe team were the icing on top!

This resort has the best poolside music all week and we have quite a few resorts to compare this to. They will also encourage requests and they will write them down.

The gym is excellent. They have everything you could possible need along with a HIIT class midweek if you'd like.

Make sure you stay on the resort for Heritage night on Thursday or Friday.

The additional cost for the Diamond club worked for us.
I recommend asking to stay in building 20 as it is the main building for the DC and most of the additional perks are located in that lobby. Self pour bar, full breakfast and tons of snacks throughout the day that they do their best to keep fresh.

The all white and silent disco were better than expected.

Readers, they run pickup volleyball games twice a day. Noon and either 3:30 or 4pm.
Resort management, please invest in a volleyball or several volleyballs so you never have to use that chewed up dogs toy you call a volleyball. You're welcome.

The beach has a ton of large and small rocks and is was extremely rough while we were there. Definitely bring aqua sox if you have them.

Excursions. Please feel comfortable booking with the local taxi/tour locals for anything that you may want to leave the resort. Safety is not an issue.
Try and ensure the locals get a few of your tourist dollars.
Valan in particular was excellent and will have a lot more flexibility in where you go and how long you stay.

We went out several times as a group of 4 with Valan who was fantastic.
Big Kudos to all the staff that we encountered.

As expected, the resort shop is ridiculously expensive. Bring any and all meds that you think you may require or wait till you pop off of the resort to grab anything left at home by accident.

No to Food after 10 you can go to the buffet ...or room service . We had a flight delay on arrival thought we would have a drink catch our breath and then get a nibble. Asked at the bar and she said nothing but room service . We flagged down a room service carrier to ask how busy and he said looking at a long wait. first night went to bed without food after being delayed over 5 hours grrrr

There is a booklet in the main lobby with tour options you can book when you get there. Snorkeling trips, chocolate and rum factory, waterfalls, sunset cruise, and fishing trips to name some.
