We went for 5 nights with a 1 year old and had a great time. The resort is beautiful and very elegantly done. All the rooms are gorgeous. We went with a 1 year old baby and we had a great time esp. at the kiddie pool. All the staff was exceptionally kind and smiling all the time. The hospitality was incredible! He was too young for all the kid activities but we hope to return in the future to take advantage of that. There are enough restaurants that we didn't repeat any for dinner for 5 nights. The Japanese and French restaurant that do require reservations were my favorite! The other places had average food but I liked the fact that I could get food any time of the day. The beach was beautiful with minimal sea weed and there were always cabanas available for us to enjoy the beach. We used Go Majestic for our travel back and forth from the airport and they were timely and had no issues with them. We had a room with the private pool and jacuzzi. Unfortunately, since the area does not get any sun, the water in the pool was so cold- even the main pool that got the sun, the water was very cold but with the sun we were able to enjoy it a little more! I wish the pools were slightly temp regulated to avoid them being super cold- esp. the private pools with no sun! Unfortunately, the resort is very popular wedding venue and there was that there was an event (wedding or a "party" organized by the resort) EVERY NIGHT! This made for a very LOUD evenings and nights. My son goes to bed by 730 PM and the loud noise was very disrupting (even with the white noise). In addition, there was something wrong with the lights in our room where there was fuse that would keep going off. Maintenance came every single night to try to fix it but couldn't. This prevented us from enjoying any dinners when our baby was asleep in the room. But I will give it to the resort that they tried hard! My one big issue with the resort was that we asked for a crib for my baby and they kept saying it was "subject to availability" which I am bewildered by- its like telling me I don't have a bed! Ultimately I brought my pack and play but I am upset as that was one piece of luggage I didn't have to carry if they could confirm a crib would be available for my kid! Overall, my experience was good and it was good value for money and I will hopefully return!

We stayed for 1 week to celebrate our daughters first birthday. Our room (swim up suite) was perfect - there is a sliding door between the living area and the bedroom and we used a Crib provided by the hotel which our daughter slept in in the living area. This afforded us privacy at night-time and during nap-time, and we were able to access our patio / small private pool from our bedroom while our daughter slept - a dream!
The resort is fairly small to walk around and the resort is constantly being maintained; paint touch ups, cleaning, etc. It feels like the staff really care and everyone is very friendly. There is a main pool with swim up bar, but we spent most of our time in the small circular baby pool which was ideal for our daughter. Servers are friendly, attentive and cleaning up empty cups / providing refills constantly.
One point is that this hotel does cater for a lot of weddings - as many as 4 per day on weekends! So as a result there are big groups.
The restaurants are good - much of what you expect at an all inclusive. The stand out for us was the steak restaurant: Arturo + Wily and the whole team at Don Juame were excellent. We told Arturo that his restaurant was by far the best - very attentive and personalized, it did not feel like you were at an 'all inclusive' resort. We also enjoyed the Hibachi restaurant where you require a reservation: they seat groups at 6, 7:10, or 8:15pm.
We ate breakfast and lunch every day at the Flavors Buffet. Food was varied and good. We were able to find something for our 1 year old to eat every day; freshly prepared pasta, veggies, pancakes, eggs, and cooked meat. I want to give a special shout out to Aide at the Flavors Buffet - she was wonderful. She was so kind to our daughter and organized for a little cake as we were celebrating her first birthday. She is a gem and was a joy to see every day!
The kids club at this resort was also excellent. They organize activities for children age 4+, and you can leave your kids at the kids club if they are age 4+. For us we were able to the use the kids club room and play with our daughter there. There were a lot of toys, a big ball pit, tvs, board games, little chairs and tables and beanbags, and most important - very friendly staff! Andalon (sp?) at the kids club was fantastic. She was welcoming and friendly and all the kids club staff worked so tirelessly with the kids. Bravo!

When we first came up to the resort, we were very impressed! The lobby was big, bright, clean and nicely decorated. We did the club side and when we checked in we were taken to a separate check-in with snacks and drinks available and greeted with a cool towel and welcome drink.
Our butler, Aaron was very friendly and attentive to us all through the week. There was an app we downloaded to communicate. He would text us a daily schedule everyday and ask if we needed anything.
Walking to our room, the resort was immaculate! The landscaping was very impressive.
We stayed in a 1 bedroom jacuzzi suite. The room was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. We liked how there was a sliding door to separate the living areas and an additional two piece washroom. They brought in a rollaway bed, it was a very thick mattress and was very comfortable! We never had any issues with water pressure and air conditioning. We enjoyed the jacuzzi on the balcony and the very comfortable day bed. Housekeeping did a fine job, there were never any issues. Our fridge was restocked daily.
We enjoyed every meal! The breakfast buffet had a large variety and everything was very fresh. We really liked the smoothie bar and omelette station. Our favourite dinner was the teppanyaki, definitely worth the reservation! We also really enjoyed the French bistro, the seafood restaurant, Mexican restaurant, and Italian. All of our waiters were very friendly and attentive, especially Carlos at the Italian and our daily buffet waiters, Daniel, Angel, and Pierre. The manager at the buffet, Ahide was very friendly and greeted us at every meal, the hostesses Patrica and Angelica were very friendly and welcoming.
We really appreciated having the club room. They were always clean, well air conditioned, comfortable chairs and lots of snack and drink options. We were surprised with how good the sushi was!
This was one of our favourite beaches in Mexico with white sand and turquoise waters. The property was huge and well maintained. There were lots of beach chairs but you do have to go down earlier to get shade.
All of the entertainment staff were very fun and friendly! We really enjoyed the water Zumba and aerobics!
Overall, we loved the resort and highly recommend!

We just got back from celebrating my birthday at Majestic Elegance and it was a wonderful trip. This was our first all-inclusive in Mexico and they went above and beyond to make our stay great. Here are the highlights:
Pros: - Beautiful resort that was always clean and taken care of, including the pools, bathrooms, and dining areas. - Having The Club side for adults was a great benefit as we were all adults traveling and wanted to be away from kids as much as possible. - The beach is beautiful and they have a nice assortment of chairs and daybeds to use - Their liquor selection was top notch; I had heard some all-inclusives only include crappy wells but they had everything you needed included in the package. - Flavio is the best bartender on The Club side. He was usually in the swim up bar by the swim up rooms or at the Pure bar. If you want well made drinks and someone that remembers your name and order, highly recommend seeking him out. - The butler service (Michelle) was great and we like that she called ahead to some of the restaurants because we had a larger party and put some birthday stuff out for me.
Cons: - We couldn't get into the Japanese or French restaurant because their reservations were full, even when we tried to book at check-in. It was unfortunate as we were really looking forward to checking them out. - The food was okay; the Italian and Mexican restaurants were amazing but the rest of them were okay. We actually didn't like the steakhouse because most of our meat came raw or underprepared. - Room service took forever and the options were really limited. We also didn't like that you couldn't order food to come out while you are by the pools. That would have been an amazing service. - The restaurants are open at weird hours and we found we had to rely on the Beach Grill to grab something fast during the day. - Almost every restaurant is shared with the family side, which was kind of a bummer. We had hoped because it had such a large adults-only side that there would be restaurants specifically for that area.
All in all, it was a great experience and we would recommend it to others as an affordable all-inclusive in a beautiful location.

My daughter chose this resort for her wedding, it was an excellent experience. The staff did a wonderful job to make sure all went smoothly, even with rain. Most of the 50 adult wedding guests stayed in the family area with no complaints. There were plenty of beach and pool chairs with shade if desired. Best beach of the area in our opinion. The resort is set up well so easy to navigate and meet up with others in our party. The many excellent restaurants were easy to get into when we wanted, no one had a bad meal. Our rooms were spacious, we had one facing the construction site but never heard any noise from that area. Beds are comfortable and housekeeping did a great job keeping our room tidy and restocked. We enjoyed the Beach white party, Queen tribute, and the Michael Jackson shows the most.
The drinks were freshly made to order so I could have smaller amounts (or no) of alcohol when requested. If I did not know what drink to order, I explained what I was thinking of for taste and every bartender came up with a drink I enjoyed. The house wine was good and for those who did not want the usual, a comprehensive wine selection is available for purchase.
All employees were friendly and warmly greeted us at all times. Tino in activities was wonderful, I especially liked his am stretching and aqua Zumba class! Enjoyed our waiter Luis at Flavors and Mar restaurants, so attentive. The omelet station in the Flavors buffet was the best with an excellent cook (forgot name). Eduardo (management as wearing white shirt/black pant) was walking by the Tiki Bar when we were waiting. Both bartenders were temporarily gone to deliver a huge drink order on the beach. He saw us waiting and jumped right behind the bar and mixed our drinks like a professional. We told him we could wait for the usual bartenders to return but he insisted on helping us. He continued to fulfill our order of 8 complex drinks even when the regular bartenders returned. What teamwork and dedication to customer service Eduardo has. We all agree that this was a great resort for us.

We visited Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres in October to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. It was our first trip to Mexico, and after reading countless reviews, we found an excellent deal on this resort. What really sealed the deal for me? No timeshare pitches! We booked through Orbitz and were thrilled to be upgraded to a one-bedroom suite.
We chose to stay on the adults-only side (only slightly more expensive), and it was a fantastic decision. The room was spacious, and having a separate living area gave us room to relax. The bathtub was glorious, but be aware the bathroom doesn't have much privacy—fine for couples, but something to consider if you're traveling with friends or family. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep.
The beach was beautiful and impeccably clean, with dragonflies flitting everywhere—it felt magical! While we loved the beach, we spent most of our time at the pools. The swim-up bars were never too crowded, and the drinks were flowing. I tried many different cocktails but kept returning to the classic margarita on the rocks—absolute perfection. There are plenty of activities during the day and evening, but there's no pressure to participate. We attended the Michael Jackson Tribute show, which was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed watching the White Night beach party from our balcony.
A highlight of our trip was visiting the spa twice for the hydrotherapy circuit—a luxurious and relaxing experience. If you can do only one splurge, make it this. The "cenote" area was so peaceful, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive.
The food, however, was a mixed bag. While there were tons of options, I found most dishes to be a little bland or not quite to my taste. That said, the service was phenomenal, and the breakfast buffet was a standout. The roasted pulled pork dish they served in the mornings was absolutely divine—I could have eaten it all day! I regret not having time to try the Italian or sushi restaurants. If you're looking for snacks, there isn't much available outside mealtimes, but water bottles are always stocked in the minibar, and there’s a convenience store on-site if needed.
Our butler went above and beyond to make our stay special. He surprised us with a bottle of Jameson (my husband's favorite), arranged nightly aromatherapy in our room, and even delivered chocolate-covered strawberries.
Finally, we used Go Majestic for our airport transfers, and I highly recommend it. The process was seamless and stress-free.
Overall, our trip was filled with fun and unforgettable memories. I’d return to Majestic Elegance in a heartbeat. Next time, I’d love to try one of the swim-up rooms!

Simply beautiful. My family and friends traveled for my daughters wedding, 30 of us and we were all pleasantly surprised at the resort, staff and wedding cordinator team. We enjoyed every restaurant, pool and beach. Never left the premises. Rooms are large and your provided with everything you should need such as blow dryer, steamer, shower shampoo and gel. The food was typical all inclusive with a wide variety. Jose at the pool was amazing, went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable at pool. Beach furniture could use replaced, stained and broke. Water was a bit murky and rough but still able to get in and enjoy. Not a 5 star hotel due to lack of customer service (some of our guest did not get rooms the paid for) and and also attention to details.

The resort itself is quite nice. The food is decent. It doesn’t compare to Live Aqua, which is the gold standard for Cancun all inclusives, and the seafood restaurant is truly awful. But overall, the selection of a la cartes is eclectic. The beach is also nice and they do a good job of keeping the seaweed to a minimum. But the deal breaker is the music. All evening, live music comes blaring into every corner of the resort, especially the rooms. When the theater show starts, the volume goes up even higher and there’s no escaping the noise. Whoever designed the resort either believes loud blaring music would be a selling point or didn’t realize that the placement of the theater would be a noise disaster. They can’t help the construction noise going on all day next door but they can certainly do something about turning down the volume in the evening so people can relax and young children can sleep. We come to Mexico to relax and chill. This resort doesn’t seem to want travellers like us. They would rather cater to the party crowd and that’s ok but we shall not be returning.

Overall great place, we stayed on the family side and I tried to get upgraded to the adult side but they did not have any rooms.
I asked if I could keep my room on the family side and just get a bracelet to use the adult side pools only, but they would not allow this even though I was willing to pay.
Needless to say, overall the family side is great and there were very few children, however there are a LOT of weddings, and it all happens on the family side, there is no dedicated area for weddings - which i feel they should have, as one day they would not play any music until 1:00 pm and certain areas were off limits to guests due to the wedding... We paid to be there as well so I disagree with this.
There were pool entertainment games, and the drinks were good, they had some decent quality alcohols, but not exactly top shelf.
They are building a new resort next door, so the view of this would not be nice, thankfully I had a inside of resort view.
Jaimie, Eduardo, and others were great for the entertainment team... Also Arial was great, we got to know him a bit.
They had a foam party which was a blast !!
the Tiki bar was great, and Victor is fantastic !!
Food overall was very good, they had stuffed potatoes, pork chops with various sauces etc, beef, chicken with various sauces, all very good... Even the pizza and ice cream was very good.
If you dont like the food here then you are very picky.
As someone who travels a lot, I would consider this resort on the Middle high end.
It is better than the punta cana Majestic, but a bit less fun at night as they dont really dance with you etc..
The bartender in the show area was also great..
Because Isla Mujeres is close by it acts like a filter for big waves and seaweed, so there was not a lot compared to directly in Cancun where the waves are much bigger..
Also the beach sand is firm so you can walk a lot way either direction. In Cancun the sand is soft and hard to walk in for long.
We like that it was fun here, and entertaining, so things to do instead of just boring like some other resorts..
Overall good stay, we would go back but on the adult side to experience the other pool etc..

My husband and I stayed in an Elegance Plunge Pool Suite in Building 2 December 15-25/24. This was the perfect location for us. We had the shade on our lower balcony, with the sun from morning till late afternoon on the plunge pool. Noise level from the numerous weddings didn't bother us. The room was well equipped with a well stocked bar and fridge, a kettle to make tea, plus a bathtub, which is a rarity in most hotels.
This is not a huge resort, but it offers so many wonderful options:
There's a good variety of restaurants to choose from, with only the Bistro and Kabuki requiring reservations. The food is delicious at every restaurant! Lots of bars, although we found the Lower Lobby Bar too cold and didn't spend any time there. The Piano Bar was a favourite for relaxing after dinner with a coffee or drink. They make the best chocolate martinis at Don Jaume and Il Bottaccio. There are so many nooks and private seating areas throughout the resort, so it never felt crowded. There are plenty of cabanas and loungers at the pools and beach, so no problem finding a vacant one. The Club Pool was a little cold, but once you were in, it was fine. In contrast, our plunge pool was like having a bath! The beach is beautiful and great for walking. The entertainment was top notch, something different every night. The saxophonist at the Club Pool was awesome, we thoroughly enjoyed listening to her one afternoon.
I can't say enough how great every single employee is at the resort. From the moment we arrived, to our departure, we were impressed.
Special mention to: Our butlers Val and Chan. Marisol, breakfast hostess @ Il Bottaccio. Martin and Rolando bartenders @ Pure swim up bar. Oscar @ Don Jaume. Orlando @ Il Bottaccio. All the bartenders @ the Piano Bar. Every employee @ Bistro.
Also, the Mexican Fiesta night at the Theatre and Christmas Eve dinner at Flavors were outstanding! We were so impressed with all the staff, the decorating, entertainment and food.
Thank you so much for wonderful memories. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to come back!
