Hospitality, friendliness and strategic location are the excellent qualities of this B&B managed impeccably by Maria and Maurizio.
We spent a wonderful weekend as a couple and with friends, full of very exciting food and wine, cultural and naturalistic experiences. The guests are passionate and affectionate; we felt advised and pampered, as if we were family! Three comfortable, clean, refined rooms; breakfast with local products. Wide availability of cellars, rooms, and landscape itineraries that enrich the stay. Highly recommended!!

We stayed for three nights in the B&B Il Sole delle Rive. We had a wonderful stay. Maurizio and Maria were not only helpful, but very warm and friendly hosts, who made us feel at home. Our room was spotlessly clean and lovely decorated. The wooden floor in the room looks pretty. We enjoyed the breakfast with homemade delicious bread, which you cannot find in Italy, homemade jam and yogourt. Maurizio has prepared a list of restaurants and made a reservation for us in one of them, where we had a marvellous dinner. Maurizio also lent us a hiking map for the two days, which helped us find our way from Monforte d'Alba to Barolo and Castiglione Falletto, a wonderful area. We felt at home and enjoyed to talk with Maurizio and Maria and we hope we can come back or meet them maybe in Liguria or Stuttgart.

My sister and I stayed at Maurizio's Il Sole delle Rive for four days/nights in early June, and we had a perfect stay! The B&B itself is absolutely gorgeous--phenomenal views, beautiful grounds, and it is so peaceful and relaxing. The room was lovely--updated bathroom, beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony and taking in the views.
Maurizio's breakfast was also fantastic. We had homemade bread, apple cake, eggs, yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit. He made a perfect cappuccino.
In addition to being a great place to stay, Maurizio is a wonderful host. He gave my sister and I tips on where to eat, where to visit, and hikes to take. We were so sad to say goodbye! Staying with Maurizio is like staying with family. We cannot wait to visit again!

We stayed with Maurizio and Maria early April and loved it. The rooms are made my topic. We stayed in the bamboo room with an african flair. Yet you will forget that when in the morning the sound of birds, small river and beautiful view wake you up gently. The breakfast is almost entirely home made: Bread, Yoghurt, Jam, Cake and delicious cappuccino will help you wake up in the best way possible. The tips from the two around sightseeing, wineries and restaurants were utmost helpful. We felt like visiting good old friends and being invited in there home with great warmth. We will definitely be back when the truffle season starts :)

Stayed at this home-away-from-home B&B with a large group of friends for a birthday celebration, and Maurizio and Maria couldn't have been more helpful or warm. They not only attended to our diverse interests by giving us copious suggestions for the region, but also sat with us and made us feel like their extended family.
Breakfast is a large spread which you can select the night before, and many things are homemade including Maria's impressive jams, honeys and bread. Maurizio's cappucino is by far the best I've tasted!
Rooms and bathrooms were large, very clean and beds very comfortable. Selection of pillows and fleeces available for extra comfort.
Other members of the family are Tommy the dog - an Alsatian who couldn't hurt a fly if he tried - and a couple of cats who hog the sun bench ;)

All in all we could easily have stayed longer, this was one of the best B&B stays I've ever had and I'll be back! Grazie mille M&M :)

Arrived mid afternoon to be greeted by Tommy the Alsatian dog. Maurizio the perfect host, so full of knowledge both locally and worldly. Very tastefully appointed room and excellent continental breakfast. Home made bread and jams. Best coffee that I have had anywhere.
Maurizio kindly prepared for us, a three day itinerary complete with local maps and advice.
Thoroughly recommended.

We loved our stay at Il Sole de Rive. What a perfect spot in the heart of the Piemonte. Maurizio and his wife are such good hosts. Maurizio went out of his way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. He helped us pick the restaurants and even called in our reservations. We thought every meal was outstanding and don't think we have tasted food and wine any better. Every meal was reasonably priced. The scenery was spectacular and we had some great walks. Our room was comfortable and so nicely done. We felt at home and loved walking out on our balcony in the morning and evenings. The breakfasts were delicious with bread, cereal and yummy cake. Mauricio makes an excellent cappucino.
We would love to return to this magical place. The hosts really make an effort and that made our stay memorable. Don't hesitate. Go there!!

Steve and I spent 3 nights at this fantastic B+B in June 2013. Maurizio and Maria made us so welcome, nothing was too much trouble and the rooms and breakfast are 1st class. The breakfast, with home made and local produce was eaten in the restored barn was fab views framed by the large open windows, really lovely. The rooms are large, comfortable and all have balconies with stunning views. Maurizio not only gave us lots of really good information about the area but also for the rest of our trip in Italy. The area is stunning and Il Sole delle Rive is a good base for touring the area. we would seriously recommend a stay and we hope to return in October on our way back to England. The hot tub was lovey after a hot day sightseeing and walking up the hill top towns :-) Maurizio and Maria thank you very much and hope to see you soon.

Maurizio and Maria were absolutely fantastic! I spent one day and night in their company. Upon arrival i was immediately invited for a lovely, lunch prepared by Maria. We talked about past adventures, culture and many interesting topics. In the afternoon i was shown the nearby hazelnut factory, Maurizio recommended a really stunning bike ride for me, and then Maria prepared a traditional Italian feast for the evening where we shared a bottle of wine, laughed and ate a lot! The B&B is in a really beautiful, peaceful location. The scenery is magical, the garden is an excellent place to relax and the house is a magnificent relic, renovated and well-kept. Would highly recommend treating yourself to a night or two at this B&B with the helpful company of Maurizio and Maria.

Thanks again!
