We had the most fabulous stay here - couldn’t have asked for more in our holiday at the villas. We even extended our stay an extra night as we loved it so much. The view was incredible, the apartment was really spacious - perfect for our family of four. It was beautifully presented and lots to do including tennis, heaps of games and swim towels we could borrow. The owners are super friendly, giving us fishing tips and drawing maps for us. Highly recommend!!!!l

Wonderful villas with beautiful views and fabulous hosts. Great dining close drive away- Golf course restaurant and at Mangonui great lunch Cafe Little Kitchen. Cable Beach good day trip to Cape Reinga Lighthouse. Self catering for breakfast at local supermarkets

We visited Doubtless Bay Villas at the end of our 4-week trip to New Zealand. The apartment and views were incredible. We stayed in apartment 20, which was a duplex. The apartment had absolutely everything that you would need to self-cater and all quality items. Bed/Pillows are obviously subjective, but we found both to be extremely comfortable and supportive. Grey facecloths for removing makeup/sunscreen and a magnifying mirror as well as a large enclosed shower and a separate bathtub. The apartment had full length balconies on both the living area and bedroom floors and the views were just unreal! This area of Northland is well worth the extra car miles from the more popular Bay of Islands. The start of 90 Mile Beach, leading to Cape Reinga is about a 20 minute drive away. The beautiful sheltered beaches at Maitai Bay on the Karikari Peninsula are an easy 20-25 minutes drive. If you don't want to even go that far, you have Cable Bay directly in front of the apartments and Coopers Beach, five mins down the road. Mark and Jane, run and manage the apartments, and I would highly recommend contacting them directly to make a booking. We hadn't pre-booked and they managed to jig things around and accommodate us. Mark and Jane are the managers. They are nice and warm and welcome you with a very friendly approach. We stayed in a 1 bedroom en suit unit with a small kitchenette. Very clean and nicely designed. In front of us we had the wonderful bay. The only draw back were many steps going down yo the unit. We opted for a breakfast which was brought to the unit in the morning. Breakfast was very good and tasty.

Wonderful accommodation and Mark and Jane were wonderful hosts together with their very helpful and efficient team. Our group was well catered for at short notice. Nothing was a problem for the team at Doubtful Bay Villas. Our room was tidy and clean, had magnificent views and our bed was excellent. We extended our stay. We highly recommend these Villas. Well done Mark and Jane and your team. Thank you all for your no fuss efforts in accomodating us all at short notice. We give you twenty out of ten for your hospitality and accommodation. Sited on the East coast of North Island in Northland NZ this is great place to stay. The views over the Bay are stunning with plenty of other Bays and attractions nearby. Manganui is close by with places to eat and shop but if you need peace and quiet stay in and eat at your apartment. The views are too good to miss and the Villas clean, tidy and well appointed. The owners are very welcoming and can’t do enough for you. Highly recommended.

Amazing stay... clean, spacious, well-appointed apartment with everything we needed. Laundry, fully equipped kitchen, good bathrooms. Great views of Doubtless bay with the sound of the sea and Coopers Beach, Mangonui 5 mins drive away...we will definitely be staying again.

The studio was immaculately clean, nicely equipped and with absolutely stunning views. V comfortable bed and brilliant shower room. The hosts were superb and knowledgeable and were available to help with anything you needed. This is in a simply stunning location. Sadly we only stayed for three nights and wish we had stayed longer.

The Doubtless Bay Villas are spectacular. I am traveling solo and wanted to stay in a place with a gorgeous view, close to the beach, and beautiful. The Villas are all of these and much more. Jane and Mark are the most gracious hosts - they helped me with ideas for places to eat, places to go and were there anytime I needed a hand. They were welcoming and kind. I was in a studio with a patio overlooking the bay, you hear the waves all night and the clear nights I was there the stars were awe inspiring. The studio has a comfy bed, two big comfy chairs, a table were I did my work , and the kitchenette with tea and treats. The bathroom is perfect, I loved the shower, with great water pressure and an easy walk in design. The space was well laid out and enjoyable. Definitely will return! We had the privilege of spending a few days at the Amazing Doubtless Bay Villas. We chose a 3 bedroom Villa that has the most beautiful views. Mark and Jane are the most welcoming and accommodating hosts. The Villa is fully equipped. So close to the beach. We had the most restful holiday ever. Thank you Mark and Jane. We will be back next summer.
