The Memory at On On Hotel garners appreciation for its historical charm and tastefully decorated spaces that hark back to the 1930s, offering travelers a glimpse of the past alongside modern comforts like air conditioning. Nestled in Old Town Phuket, the hotel's location is celebrated for its proximity to local attractions. Guests frequently commend the attentive staff and the hotel's cleanliness.
While the rooms are spacious and comfortable, some guests note issues with internet connectivity and dated aspects. Despite some concerns over inconsistent water temperature and a lack of breakfast, the hotel is considered a good value for its ambiance and location.

We had the junior suite in the back area (blue house). It was quiet, you couldn't hear any noise from the street. The staff were extremely friendly, accommodating and gave very good tips. Pop was very friendly in every way and so was the whole team. The location is very good, right in the center and the most important sights can be reached on foot. Opposite is a very good restaurant with a Michelin recommendation. The hotel is beautifully decorated, full of antiques, very tasteful in every way. It corresponds 100% to the pictures on the internet. There is free water, tea and coffee. Tea and coffee are available in the room. The coffee is very good. We would book this hotel again and especially stay longer.

The hotel is beautiful and loads of places to sit and relax around the hotel!
The whole atmosphere is very relaxed and staff bring you a tea on check in and there are some snacks and free water/rose tea available at the bar daily which is self serve, the rooms are spacious and there are 2 free bottles of water and other drinks provided in the fridge.
The AC works great and the bed is comfy, the rooms are clean and spacious and feel secure
However, a few cons- the walls are super thin and it sounds like people are in your room if they are moving around and talking it’s so loud and especially at night/morning with people banging doors or the cleaners in the corridors/other rooms can be very noisy and disruptive but not overly so!
Secondly and perhaps more importantly is the shower, the shower fluctuates between cold and boiling hot with no warning, be careful as you can burn yourself on the water as it comes out so hot and no matter how much you turn it down it can suddenly go boiling hot and scalding
Besides this the hotel is very pretty and the staff are super attentive and is in an ideal location for exploring old town Phuket

Great renovated hotel, located right in the old town. Very clean, great furniture, everything very tasteful. The staff was very friendly and helpful (thanks to Pia!). In the immediate vicinity there are many options for breakfast or a beer in a bar in the evening. Phuket Old Town is absolutely worth seeing (at least for one day). We stayed there for 2 nights with 4 people and paid a total of around 150 euros: it was absolutely worth it!

Booked here on a Sunday night so I could experience the Sunday Night Market, be close to the Rassada pier for an early morning ferry and to spend the night under the roof of the oldest hotel in Phuket and the film location of The Beach. The hotel is beautiful decorated to the point where tourists wander in the front door to take photos; lots of photos. Some question if the building is a museum by the incredible artwork on display. The rooms are equally tastefully decorated with a high end feeling of stepping back in time. If the hotel itself isn’t enough to make you smile the employees will. Everyone was so friendly and helpful; I felt at home right away. I’ve slept in some unique hotels but this place is definitely at the top of the list for spectacular. Highly recommend.

Whilst this hotel is a storied historic landmark, it’s still a cheap and cheerful no thrills hotel underneath. Our room was very comfortable, attractive and well equipped (great to have free drinks in the mini-bar) but I felt that design and storytelling had been prioritised over comfort in the hotel’s public areas, with no comfortable seating. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay (3/4 nights maximum) if you want a comfortable base to explore the old town and surrounding areas from and sitting on a beach/by a pool for your whole trip is not your thing.
Tips: Food at Tukabkhao and Tian Tian desserts across the road were exemplary. Don’t book taxis through the hotel, download and use Bolt for much cheaper and more knowledgeable transport.
Minor complaints: there was a stain (looked like a male bodily fluid!) on the sofa in our room, which I noticed straight away and brought to the attention of reception staff. A woman came to have a look, touched the stain, and told me it had been there for a long time and housekeeping had tried to remove it but failed. She showed me another room, but I didn’t want to change rooms because the one she offered had no external facing windows (room 212, the windows face onto the corridor). I asked for the stain to be cleaned again or for the sofa to be switched, and I was told that they’d already tried. On further inspection myself, the cover of the sofa was just a single mattress fitted sheet and could have been removed/changed/cleaned very easily. The inaction on this uncleanliness put a dampener on my stay from the start.

We have just had a wonderful 3 night stay at On On, the perfect way to experience a different side of Phuket. It is the oldest hotel on the island, situated in the centre of Phuket Old Town, and has 100 years of character ingrained in its building and features. If you want an experience that is different to the typical Phuket beach resort then look no further. The old world charm and grace of this hotel, together with its lovely and accommodating staff, make for a memorable time. There is no breakfast as such but the hotel offers traditional Peranakan snacks and drinks in a lovely self-serve area upstairs - just another way they do things differently. The location is easy walking distance of all the Old Town sights, and beaches are only a 20-40 minute ride away depending on where you choose. A great find!

The Memory at On On Hotel Phuket. From book in, to refreshing tea, to the drinks at the wine bar, to the room. The staff are amazing. They specially added a decoration of wrapped towels to resemble a two tier cake with ribbons and candles for my wife's birthday. Two staff members came to the room with a piece of cake and a candle to singing Happy Birthday. Staff going over and beyond expectations. Thank you. Kap khun krap/ka.

Absolutely gorgeous little hotel in the middle of Phuket Old Town.
The staff were super friendly and helpful.
We had some laundry done which was ready in a matter of hours and really reasonably priced (the bag got mixed up with another guest but by luck they came to collect at the same time as us and we switched bags)
Our room was comfortable and clean. The hotel was in an excellent location and felt very safe and secure.
We had a hotel transfer which got us to the airport in good time.
We only stayed one night but wish we had stayed longer!

I loved my stay at this charming historical hotel, which really does live up to expectations. The building and rooms are full of character and interest, and have been beautifully restored. As a result, this is a lovely hotel to spend time in. The rooms are also very comfortable. The hotel cafe is also lovely. The location of the hotel - right in the centre of Phuket Old Town - is also great for both visits and for getting around as well as for the many excellent nearby cafes and restaurants. By far the best thing about the hotel, though, is the staff. Alan, in particular, was incredibly helpful and kind during my visit, and helped me plan all sorts of visits and excursions, as well as making recommendations for cafes and so on. All in all, a wonderful experience - I loved the combination of history and charm, the gorgeous decor, and the great service. I'll definitely be back!

The stylish hotel is located in the historic Phuket. Stepping out of a busy street It is a lovely space surrounded by furnishings. DiCaprio films after Leonardo forehand 🎬 Some rooms were actually filmed at THE Beach.
When we asked the staff, they also let us rent nice Peranakan costumes for free, I could have taken a photo.
Feel the good old Phuket history You'll have a wonderful trip.

I can't remember exactly how much it was , but if you come out of the airport they have a taxi desk and they have standard pricing which is cost effective . The queues can be quite long and it seems like it's is going wrong , but it does all work out
For. 3 of us the cost was around 30gbp
