It is located in old Phuket town. location is decent but if you are looking for Bangla road it can be a 30min drive to there. Staff were helpful, WiFi was not great. It was clean and you got value for you money. would i recommend it, yes. Would i stay again, No. If you want a quiet experience then this is the place for you with shops and restaurants nearby. A mosque is nearby also so was ideal for prayers. It doesn't have a laundry service within the hotel but across the road is a lovely lady who done a great job. the breakfast is very basic with toast and jam on the menu. The A/C worked. There was a little worry over security as our balcony door was broken. All in all, a good hotel and you get what you pay for.

I was scammed by Booking com, offered and paid a false/not existing property (King Rama Park Studio Condo, the Light building) so I was stranded since Booking com support could not help me, even when I warned them in advance since owner did not respond to my mesaages, emails and calls for two months. I had to find something quickly and found Romw Place Hotel. Paid 600 Baht over booking com, and it seems that it would bw better to pay wothout them since I think it would havw been 500. Roms is OK, bed is good and large, TV big, A/C is individual and OK, cleanliness is OK and bathroom is OK. There is small balcony where you can smoke. Downstears are the safe boxes. All together, all OK for a short or longer stay if you do not seek for luxury style stay. All arround hotel are shops, restaurants and bike rent...all not expensive. That green room picture is from lux rooms, basic room is not that nice. Staff is very friendly and they got me all I asked (extra chair and catle).

When I signed up to this website, I decided I would only write about places I liked. I don't want to become one of those angry troll people. But this place is going to be an exception. If you are old enough to remember what Spanish hotels were like in the late 70's early 80's, then you need read no farther. This place is like a caricature of those places. It started badly when the second sentence out of the desk clerk's mouth was, "You must pay 3500baht now for your stay". A word to the wise for any hotel owner out there. Don't do that, it's really going to rub me up the wrong way. There should be photos attached to this post showing so lowlights of the room. Water appears to be leaking down the walls in several places, including around one of the light switches. One of only two power sockets was not screwed to wall correctly and sparked when plugs were pushed into it. The bathroom has a shower with decent flow and hot water. But the drain was blocked so it quickly became a wet room far too literally. Took about an hour for the tide to go down to a level where one could sit on the toilet without needing welly boots. Also, the sink only has cold water, or rather tepid water, this is Thailand where tap water is seldom cold. The windows rattle in their frames, and are so badly fitted that you can wedge a mobile phone in the gap. See attached photo! Just outside my room, 413, there was a good collection of power poles that crackled constantly. This for most people wouldn't be a problem, but it drove me nuts at night when I was having trouble sleeping. The Wifi is also worth a mention. Sat in the corridor, it showed speeds of 24mbps download & 15mbps upload. In my room? Barely recordable most of the time. I guess this is due to the room location and power lines outside the window. And to close let's talk location. It's in a part of town that is at the lower end of human life. Right below my window there was bar/eatery with what could be called a colourful clientele. But the noise from the place always seemed to end around midnight, so not too bad. Speaking of noise, there is a mosque within loudspeaker range, so you get to hear the call to prayer five times a day. Guess that could be useful for some people, but not me.

This hotel is wonderful for a budget traveler. 500 baht per night gets you a private room with aircon, fridge, tv verandah. Bathroom is functional wirh shower, toilet and wash basin.Maids clean you room daily ( remember to leave 20 baht under your pillow each day.....for pure kindness sake) The lift skips 2nd floor which is the "massage" floor. I Across the road is several small business that are so cheap ( budget traveler in mind) First on left is a old muslim lady who serves delicious breakfast treats in the morning ie sticky rice with mango wrapped in banana leaf = 6 baht. Later in day she serves various thai dishes with rice, curries, stir fry or soup = about 40 baht per meal. Moving right there is a laundry place, womens hairdresser, Barber. The small shop which sells cold drinks, beer, thai whiskey, snackfoods etc is run by a beautiful couple Su chai (the man) and Bau (the woman). Su chai has the best English in all of the shops. Further to the right at the intersection an old man makes iced coffee and teas and iced drinks in general. He too is a lovely happy soul. You can walk to old town in about 10- 15 minutes but if you have a motorbike there is parking also. I have stayed budget in phuket town many times and am so happy to have discovered this lovely, peaceful very thai establishment. I can speak enough thai to get by, so if you are one of those travellers who expect english speaking staff, dont come here and complain about it. For gods sake, visit a country and learn some local language or stay home. Best budget stay in phuket town. ☺

The hotel was lovely. quiet, clean and comfy. Air con in the room was great and they also have a TV, Minibar and wardrobe space. Bathroom is a wet room so fairly small when it comes to the shower. The staff were sweet but didn’t say much when we checked in, just took pics of our passport and told us our room number after taking payment. It was about 8pm and we had no toilet roll (we chose not to have our room cleaned during the day) they only leave one in the bathroom and this wasn’t a full one. We asked reception for another and they said they couldn’t give us one as housekeeping had gone home. When we asked what we should do then, the receptionist just shrugged. Luckily, they left the door open all night to a room that was unoccupied so we managed to get some from there.

Reasonably priced, get what you pay for. Good position in Phuket town, rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable beds. Shower wasnt fantastic, but that wasn't too much of a bother. Would stay again!

A recommended hotel. The location of this hotel is strategic and the workers there are very friendly. A 24 hour laundry shop can be found near the hotel and there is a 24 hour grocery shop just opposite the hotel which you can arrive in a few 1 minute from the lobby by walking.

If you've expected a nice 'hotel', you might get disappointed. As others mentioned this hotel is quite old and far from luxury. But compared to other hostels we stayed in Phuket Town this hotel was a great choice. Get an deluxe room with a/c for this money in town won't be so easy. This hotel is located bit away from the old town, local bus terminal and local market but they are reachable by foot anyway. Close to Robinson department store. Since it's bit off from the touristic old town, it has some good features. Restaurants around are very local, tasty and cheap. Surrounding is quite during day and night. It might be difficult to find but due to its history many locals know where it is anyway. And there's big neon sign on the top of the building. Highly recommend for budget travelers.
