Cabot Lodge is a luxury estate situated on a 2000 acre sheep farm overlooking the World Heritage Fiordland National Park in Te Anau. The Lodge accommodates a maximum of ten guests, offering private luxury and an authentic New Zealand escape. Cabot Lodge provides an all-inclusive retreat. This is an unbelievably beautiful spot. The friendly staff compliment an idyllic view of deep green pastures and snow tipped mountains. The mechanics of farming deer and sheep were fascinating. And I loved the tiny flowers set in the cracks of the steps. It was marvelous.

Brad was an amazing host, and all the staff were really helpful and careful as well. Breakfast and Dinner were really good. The property itself is located in an absolutely beautiful setting with incredible views to the mountains and Lake Manapouri. Our stay was of 4 nights, but we could easily have stayed for a longer period. Would definitely return. My wife and I had a great time.

Wonderful little luxury lodge in the heart of New Zealand's famous South Island Fiordland. Located on a beautiful sheep farm just a few Kilometers from Te Anau. Snow capped mountains provide the perfect backdrop for this authentic, unpretentious and charming retreat stay.

Breidi and Brad, together with Kim & Rod provide the ultimate in a relaxing escape. The property is gorgeous, rooms sumptuous (the pillow top beds like sleeping on a cloud), the bath has the best view ever, service exceptional while being relaxed. Nothing was a bother. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Had the pleasure of staying at the Cabot Lodge for 4 nights, had the entire place to ourselves for most of the time, which made it even nicer. The hosts are attentive and responsive. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated. We stayed in the Pomona room and the fireplace provided a nice touch. The bathroom was spacious, with a shower and bath tub, and also warm thanks to the underfloor heating. The mini bar was well stocked and had a nice selection drinks including beer and local wines. Rod, the in-house chef went out of his way to ensure that we got to sample the best produce that the area has to offer through his culinary delights including Bluff Mountain Oysters, Trout, Venison, Lamb and Salmon. The desserts were also divine and we found ourselves in food comas after every dinner. The lodge is situated on a beautiful farm and there are a number of scenic walks available on the property. The 40°c outdoor hot tub was amazing, especially when the outside temperature was 5°c. We were also fortunate enough to have snowfall on our final day, which made every even more enchanting. A daily highlight was feeding the resident ponies (Al Capony and Pony Soprano) - they love apples! Stunning location! It was a wonderful escape from the busyness of life. Room was so comfortable and really well appointed. The view was outstanding!!!! The bedding and bed were heavenly. The bathroom had heated floors & a gorgeous view from the bath. 5 star breakfast & lovely evening meals. Great base for an easy access to Milford & Doubtful Sounds. Brad was an exceptional host. Highly recommend Cabot Lodge. Will definitely be back & bringing friends!

Breidi and Brad have created an experience that will remain in our memories forever. It was a true highlight of our 2 weeks in NZ. The physical location and the grounds of the lodge are spectacular. The rooms are luxurious. The food--from the skilled hands of Chef Rod and Brad-- is sumptuous. But it's the gracious hospitality of the owners that make the difference. Breidi and Brad were generous with their time, their experience, and their love of the area, and made our stay incredibly special. We arranged to take the farm tour and the shepherding demonstration--and strongly recommend both to get the full sense of the operations of the farm that Breidi's parents have built over the last 40 years. We booked this to have some luxury wind-down time at the end of a week’s holiday and discovered an experience that was so much more. The hospitality at Cabot is quite exceptional and we felt like we were saying goodbye to good friends when we reluctantly left this morning. Our deluxe room was simply divine and all the spaces in the lodge were thoughtfully setup, incredibly relaxing and extremely inviting. The food and wine were outstanding and Breidi, Brad and the team have an amazing attention to detail and passion for ensuring your stay exceeds any expectations. You won’t regret experiencing the magic of Cabot Lodge.

Amazing experience staying at Cabot Lodge. An unforgettable stay. Perfect location for Doubtful Sound, Lake2Lake cycle, helicopter flights, Kepler Trail. Superb hosting by owners Breidi and Brad, including organising and then re-organising all our activities in response to weather, etc. fantastic accommodation with stunning views of Lake Manapouri and the mountains including sunsets to die for. Outstanding food from chef Rod and lovely staff made this an amazing experience- just hope we can get back again to this beautiful part of the world again some time.
