The Captain's Quarters is a family run business. For over thirty-five years, Wim and Irène have had the pleasure of greeting guests, many of whom return year after year. We live at the Captain's Quarters year round and we love it! We offer 2 comfortable housekeeping cottages: 1 one-bedroom cottages and 1 two-bedroom cottage, located on four acres of oceanfront land ensuring peace and tranquility. Just walk down the lawn to enjoy Hunts Point's sandy beach, and take a stroll to our quaint fishing harbor. Young and old play lawn games on our huge lawn in front of the cottages and our house; relax on the oceanfront sundeck to the peaceful sounds of the ocean . All cottages are equipped with a kitchen, four piece bath, cable TV, Wifi and a covered veranda.

Cottages on Hunt's Point beach. Very clean, roomy, and comfortable cottages and grounds. Nice size deck and great view of water. Picnic tables with umbrellas for each cottage and BBQs. Beach is an inlet and great for kids but does have quite a bit of seaweed on the beach. My only complaint would be that they charged an extra $30 per night for my two granddaughters (ages 6 & 8). While I would expect to be charged extra for adults, it is not the usual practice to charge for young children.

This is a delayed review for the beautiful Captain's Quarters Cottages in Hunts Point, Nova Scotia. This was our second stay here in the past 2 years, and we will continue to return. The cottages are beautiful and provide every amenity you could ever need. A quick walk across the lawn takes you directly onto Hunts Point Beach and the quaint fishing wharf. The owners are fantastic & friendly, they are pet-friendly & take great pride in their property. The cottages are very quiet, so if you are looking for a party-zone, this is not the place for you. Each cottage is equipped with a patio, BBQ & picnic table. Thank you to Wim & Irene for allowing us lodging on your beautiful property.

We have stayed here on 3 occasions and this time we treated ourselves to a week's stay in the 2 bedroom cottage. Perfect in every way. Just a walk over the lawn to the gorgeous sandy beach. Wim and Irene are always friendly, accomodating, and professional. The cottages are always very clean and have everything we need. Can't wait to return!

Spent two days here and found our cottage to be very comfortable. Excellent kitchen, well equipped, very clean with lots of hot water.

We spent two nights at this wonderful little spot on the south shore of Nova Scotia. The cabins are large, well furnished, comfortable and spotless. You don't have to bring anything....... it's all provided. There is even a picnic table and barbeque for each cabin. It is only a short walk to a sandy beach (the sand is almost like flour it's so fine). There was a private balcony with a great view over the ocean.... an ideal spot for relaxing with a good book and a glass of wine. The host was friendly and accommodating. The place was peaceful and quite. Our miniature schnauzer was also welcome! The nearby wharf was an interesting place to visit to see the local fishing boats. I'd highly recommend this for anyone who wants a peaceful place to sit and relax.

We just spent two nights in one of these cottages, and it was great. Irene is VERY hospitable, and the cottage itself was absolutely spotless. And VERY well equipped! If you forgot it, she's got it. And nothing about these cottages feels rundown or too rustic. It is a bit away from the beach, just a walk across the lawn, but it was too far for my elderly mother to be able to go. The beach itself is great for a morning stroll, but not ideal for swimming. It's COVERED in dead crabs. BUT! There's good news. Just 5 minutes down the road is Summerville Beach, which is AMAZING, and totally free. Also, under appreciated, as there was practically nobody there when we went. Absolutely beautiful.
