great dinner experience. The beer was great-----but even better was the service, and food choices. CASH ONLY---so be prepared. This is a great little town, must stop here at have a meal, and enjoy the peace and quiet and beauty surrounding it

On first impressions this accomodation was fantastic and it just got better. 500 year old building has been extensively renovated to provide self contained apartments with high end appliances and finishes. Extremely comfortable large bed with feather pillows and doonas. Nicely appointed bathroom and everything spotlessly clean. I would recommend staying at Kaiser Karl without hesitation.

Quaint, alpine hotel has spacious rooms, a very good restaurant, nice beer garden and a convenient location. It is 30 minutes from Salzburg and close to Bad Reichenhall. Many of the rooms are suites with kitchen areas. Nice views of the surrounding area and several nice restaurants in the village make for a great spot. We stayed a week with five other couples and were treated very well by the staff.

We stayed for a week with a group of 6 couples at this lovely hotel a few metres across the border from Germany in the little village of Grossgmain. The rooms are really apartments, some with kitchens, balconies and living areas. The ensuites are fully refurbished with new plumbing. Breakfasts were served in a dedicated breakfast room and were very adequate. The attached restaurant served generous, in fact huge, meals. Each night had its own themed meal. Grossgmain is an ideal location, situated very close to Salzburg and a range of Austrian and Bavarian tourist attractions.

Good, comfy hotel close to Salzburg, the Salzkammergut and Germany. Rooms are spacious with good amenities and decent beds. Service throughout the hotel is perfect; during dinner and during breakfast. Breakfast has enough choice and dinner is very good; very big portions with good flavours
