This is one cracking little site, so glad I came across this site on the internet. Site is very well signposted from the main road, upon entry you can tell the site take security of the park seriously it’s a gated site from the main road, then there’s a barrier inside too. Reception is well laid out and Dave and Shar were very welcoming and explained where everything was. It’s a small site I think I counted 18 pitches, 2 lodges which I believe can be rented out too. All pitches are fully serviced with 16amp I believe, pitches are a very generous size too, lots of room for caravan / camper, awning and car.

Facilities are spotless the best I’ve seen in a long time and even with the site being full the facilities were still spotless throughout our visit. Theres a dog wash too which I thought was great, especially if the weather is muddy, and muddy paws are not great in your van.
The site is on a busy road, some noise can be heard from the pitches but to be fair that’s to be expected due to the location of the site.

Dorrington village is 10/15 mins walk from the site, if you suffer from walking or breathing issues you may struggle due to the hill before you land in the village . The village has a small shop, butchers and a really good pub, not the cheapest but really friendly.
I believe you can catch the bus from the village into Shrewsbury and Ludlow.

Will definitely visit this site again and I’m looking forward to returning in the very near future.

In terms of a peaceful haven with spotless amenities, this is quite probably the best site we've ever stayed on (with the added bonus of being adult only!)

Unfortunately, we incurred some delays on our journey to Dorrington from Wales due to heavy traffic (Easter weekend) and were due to arrive than originally expected. However, an hour before we were due to reach the site, we received a call asking us whether we were still planning to stay, as reception was due to close at 5 pm. We explained our situation, and given our ETA was 5.15pm, the owners kindly waited for us to arrive and greeted us with a very warm welcome (they also provided us with a little gift bag filled with complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, buscuits, etc!)

We were thoroughly thrilled with the ammentites. The toilet and shower rooms were absolutely spotless. There was a complimentary laundry room, a dog cleaning area as well as disabled facilities.

Everywhere was constantly cleaned and maintained by the owners - they were visible several times throughout the day.

The site is very secure and has an electronic gating system. The owners subsequently provide you with the codes for the gates and barrier.

Would we stay again? If we were in that area, absolutely!

We stayed on the tourer site with our caravan and in 30 years these facilities were ths best. Big showers and the added little touches of shower gel, tissues, cotton wool and buds and hand moisturiser just finishsd it all off beautifully. The only small niggles were the road noise and the quarry workings behind the site. If you go out during the day, this isn't a problem and the road quietens down after 10pm. Will definitely stay again as only just over an hour from home.

This place is brilliant, adults only, spotless, friendly couldn’t fault anything Very accommodating local knowledge was superb.
Pub 10 minutes walk away and the food was great not the cheapest but when you get great food you don’t mind paying. Bus stop right outside camp. Peaceful nights sleep dog friendly with a dog wash.. didn’t use laundry but everything was clean. Will be paying another visit very soon

We have just come back home after a fantastic six days relaxing break the site is a credit to the Managers who go above and beyond to make sure everything is kept immaculate the shower block is beautiful and kept in prestine condition plenty of hot water and the waterfall shower head is great. It is just off a busy road but once inside the gated site you don't really hear it there is no dog walk but to be absolutely honest with so many great places to walk your dog one only being seven minutes down the road your fur babies are spoilt for choice . The added security of being a gated community makes you feel secure at all times , I would like to thank the managers for all their hard work in making this a special site to stay on and we will be back

An absolutely stunning site with impeccable facilities. Beautifully clean and so peaceful. It's clear the owners have clearly invested time and effort to make your experience of staying here perfect. Handy for the lovely market town of Shrewsbury and UNESCO site at Ironbrige. There's a lot to see and do in the area and Shropshire as a whole is a stunning county with breathtaking countryside. We'll definitely be back at Stoneyacres in the not to distant future.

Best toilet / shower facilities we have ever found on a campsite - spotlessly clean, checked and refreshed on a regular basis. Complementary, good quality shower gel, hand wash and moisturiser, cotton wool buds, pads and balls as well as tissues next to the seats / free hair dryers. Small adults only site, fabulous welcome, great security. Extremely level pitches - didn’t see a single pitch using ‘levellers’. Less than 10 minute walk to village and a must go to pub - Dorrington Horseshoes. Lovely lane walks around local area. Slight downside is quarry noise from adjacent business and site directly off A39 so some traffic noise. Owners have banked up and planted trees and shrubs so this will diminish when established - we visited very soon after site completed. Complimentary ice, free use of washing machine, dryer and iron. Definitely recommended.

We booked this last minute as we are from Yorkshire and we’ve travelled down the west coast down as far as bath and working our way up towards Manchester

The site is perfect, very clean from start to finish, the toilets and showers are probably one of the best I’ve been in, every thing works perfectly, the shower area works perfectly as its well thought out so your clothes don’t get wet and you have lots of room to get dressed in the dry, they are heated toilet and shower areas no getting dressed in the cold

The site has a free washing machine and dryer to use also which is a nice touch

Could people visiting this site make a point of leaving a review as I don’t normally but these people have tried so hard to get it right and they deserve it

P.s please respect what they have done for us

Stoney Acres is described as a luxury holiday park ….. and it truly is! The facilities are the best I have ever seen and pitches for the caravans and camper vans are large and well spaced out. The owners are friendly and very helpful. I cannot wait to return!

We’ve just returned from 3 nights at this fantastic holiday park. It is ideally situated between Ludlow and Shrewsbury and walking distance to Dorrington which has a great pub (The Horseshoes) serving lovely food. The park owners could not be more friendly and helpful and the shower facilities are exceptional and beautifully clean. We’ll definitely be back to explore more of Shropshire!

Hi is there any road noise? Looks close to A49
Answer from WaltJB

Hi Gordon, we’re actually on the A49 however we have purpose built stone walls which work great as a sound barrier, also the park itself is set back from the road and quite quiet. So far we haven’t had and negative feedback from guests in relation to road noise. Thanks
