We stayed in Villa 8 for 3 nights. Villa 9 is highly recommended because of it's view. THE HOTEL: 3/5 (Location is a 5/5) The location of the hotel is stunning. The Zen vibes of being on top of a mountain is so relaxing. Unfortunately, it is NOT well maintained...it's a bit dingy for a five star hotel. It's a massive area, so I kind of understand. But, I hope, that efforts will be made to better maintain the hotel. THE ROOM: 4/5 Needs a little work. There are details that should be fixed. But, other than that, it is nice and comfortable. THE STAFF: 5/5 They are delightful! Many thanks to Ms. Xiao Fang, for the assistance, even before we arrived at the hotel. Also, big thanks to Mr. Huang for being so patient and understanding, even though we can't speak chinese. ...the trainee, Miss Rain, very nice and friendly and every one else at the restaurant. Every staff is very accommodating. They made our holiday wonderful and convenient. This hotel is very lucky to have these hard working people.

We were so excited to stay here. It was beautiful. Our room was lovely. And that's where it ends. The service we got was beyond poor. It was horrible. One night we ordered food and it never arrived even though we called twice and walked to reception for help. Horrific. We decided to leave early. Best decision we made. We've been in China for years and this is the ONLY place that made us feel unwelcome. I would not return or recommend.

If you have stayed at a resort at Sanya before, you might be a little disappointed as this place is a less luxurious resort and a little outdated, too. And, to be fair, it is also a lot cheaper. We were perfectly happy with our stay, though. This is mainly due to the location. The buildings are surrounded by forest, there are little trails that lead you through it along a little creek (if you don’t want to use the golf buggies that drive you to the different houses). We loved being in the middle of nature! What is more, there were several hot spring basins spread out over the property, and some pools – especially the infinity pool with two levels was beautifully set into the surroundings! There is a bar by the pool where you can get soft drinks. Too bad they don’t offer tea or coffee there! Another plus is that the hotel is quite close to Qixian 7 fairy mountain, which is quite a climb but very worth visiting even if you don’t want to go to the top, as they have nice wooden trails in the rain forest that show some dramatic scenery. There is a shuttle to the mountain from the hotel. The first room we were offered had quite a moldy smell, but the second one was fine. It rains a lot in the mountains, so it’s only natural that you have to deal with a little humidity in the rooms. They have a machine that dries the air in the room, so that can help. The room was quite small, but the bed was comfortable and the bathroom clean, functional and in good shape. There is a shielded bath tub on the balcony that provides you with hot water from the hot springs. Breakfast and dinner is in a crowded restaurant – we didn’t like the atmosphere there very much as they are cooking and grilling in there and you will notice the smell of it in your clothes when you leave. You can have hot water to steam some food on your table, they will grill meat sticks and fish for you and there is quite a large choice of mostly Asian food. Unfortunately, it’s cold most of the time, as they leave the pots open. We didn’t try the Ethnic barbecue outside – that might be nice. If you care to leave the resort, there is a simple nice Chinese place quite close to it. The seating area is hidden behind the house and you sit in the middle of palm tree trunks around you. Overall an enjoyable stay that we would not have wanted to miss out on.

We stayed for 2 nights and it was an excellent relaxing time. You feel like in jungle with small houses (2floors) sprayed in forest (sometimes to close each other). It’s very rare to feel isolated and in quiet place in China. (For sure if you are close to swimming pools, Chinese people are speaking loudly) Room was confortable with hot spring in balcony with pool view. Cleaning was not so perfect with some dead animals. Regarding food, don’t expect high quality and almost only Chinese food. We climbed mountain in national park at only 3 km from hotel and we were very impressed with rock climbing at end (be ready to climb a lot of stairs)

As the girls in the reception said - regardless of what kind of room you book you Will not have a view over the mountains because of our treeline. So the rooms with "mountain view" is nothing But a scam, As you can see from my Photo. Also the facitilies are lacking in quality due to No renovations. My tip is to stay a bit further up the road at dubble tree by Hilton. Its cheaper, better maintained and with a clear mountain view.

For work my wife had to stay at this hotel. We decided to come to spend the weekend with her at the same hotel despite some bad comments we read in trip advisor. We had a very good time at this hotel : - hotel location is really nice, in the middle of mountains and with rainforest trees everywhere. - the room was big and had a jacuzzi with thermal water in the room terrace. - dinner and breakfast buffet has mostly Chinese choices but there was also barbecue and omelettes for example. - staff attitude was perfect. Small car drivers were easily available and professional. Special thanks to Miss YU, who we met when we arrived and who was very helpful and super nice with our kids during our stay. For all these reasons we will come back again to spend some quality time here.

We order a transfer from Lingshui railway station to hotel, and the car was waiting us at the agreed time. Very helpful front desk staff, especially Lan Ting Ting. She respond to all our questions and help us with staying in resort. Our room has the bath on balcony with a great view. The location of resort was excellent, the territory was very green and clean. Resort has a few pools. Breakfast was ok, but no great, mainly Chinese food.

This resort is located about 2 hours drive from Sanya, and makes a change to the beach hotels of Sanya. The resort has many small buildings housing the hotel rooms scattered throughout the hillside rainforest location, with small electric vehicles and small roadways connecting the resort venues and buildings together. The quality and service is ok, not luxury , but not bad, and the outdoor swimming pools are pleasant to spend time on and around. Nearby is the Qixian National Park which is worh a visit with walks up to spectacular views at the mountain top.

Family trip with parents. The hotel looked old. The services was slow, check in takes us around 20mins. The outdoor public hot spring is WARM. The private ones look not worthy to go. Only hot spring we use was the one in our room. They let us in a little bit earlier than the check in time, but the cleaner is still cleaning the room. We drove to the restaurant near by to have lunch, we came back and call the number the reception gave us for a golf car back to our room (it was about to rain and my parents have difficulty to walk too far) After 10mins it didn't show up, so we walked back to the reception, and no one can explain why they didn't get the order and what's happening. And for 2 days they have road constructions in front of our rooms and we have to walk to our rooms instead of taking the golf car service. The morning we checked out, I wanted to take some pictures in the swimming pool before breakfast, the pool was closed because they are cleaning it (during open hours), They said they will be ready by the time I finished breakfast. When the time I got there they still cleaning, the cleaning lady keep yelling me not to go to the area they haven't cleaned. My mom and brother was exciting about the yoga lesson in the morning, they rushed the breakfast and got to the venue on time. No one was there. No tutor, No staff. They waited for 15mins. Nothing happened. Just not a place for us to enjoy our holiday. Not delivering what they promised.

Lovely outdoor breakfast within the forest. Shower is on the balcony with hot springs. Lush and relaxing resort just 15-min from Qixianling National Park. Can arrange shuttle bus with hotel (2-way, 30yuan per person). Not much food selection but you can try the hotel Chinese restaurant. Serves decent food but expect to pay more too.
