We have just returned from a weeks holiday and all in all had a great time. Staff were all polite and helpful. The hotel is very close to the beach with a couple of restaurants close by. We had originally booked the Canaries but changed when our original holiday was cancelled. Check in was quick and as we arrived late we were given a voucher for a drink and toastie from the bar. The room was big enough for 4 of us and we didn't feel as though we were on top of each other. There were 2 pools - main pool and relax pool for adults only which is a great idea. We spent our time at the main pool and the sunbeds were well spaced. During our stay, the hotel became busier but although there were more sunbeds there was still plenty of space between them. By the end of the week, you needed to be at the pool for 8am for a sunbed. We were particularly impressed with the food (which was served by hotel staff) - plenty of choice and it didn't become repetitive. You could also visit the al a Carte restaurant where the food was of a really high quality. The evening entertainment wasn't really to our taste but this didn't really bother us. All in all the hotel has gone to great lengths to keep staff and guests safe. Pool towels provided in rooms on arrival, plenty of sanitiser stations, masks to be worn in reception and temperature checks on the way into the restaurant on an evening.
Our only issue was the bins weren't emptied regularly. They hadn't been emptied for 3 days. We mentioned this at reception and somebody came to the room within 10 mins with clean bath towels and emptied the bins. We didn't pay for wifi as we felt €35 for a week was expensive in comparison to what we have paid at other hotels. The soft drinks were own brand and weren't particularly nice! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed here in October as part of a all inclusive package - a first for us. Overall a 6.5/10. The grounds are lovely as is the pool, main lobby and reception area. We had a superior double room (2 twin beds pushed together) which was fine, but not really the 4 star as expected. Wifi did not work in our room after multiple attempts (this is an extra charge). The rain shower head had low pressure, the detachable was better. We were lucky with with weather so could use the pool (but it’s not heated) plenty of sun loungers and all were spaced out for covid rules. Food court lunch was good, as was the buffet dinner. We were expecting more Greek traditional food, but I guess when you’re cooking for large groups this is harder to do. (We ate out 2 nights at local tavernas and had great food). Staff wore masks, gloves when serving and clearing and there are hand sanitizer stations around, they also temp check you before dinner. Masks had to be worn inside the hotel and before you sit down. Overall a good break and chance to see the last of summer 2020.

We return to our favourite hotel year after year and we are never disappointed.

This year we were not sure with this dreadful pandemic if the hotel would be open but to our delight they opened in August.

We stayed in September and WOW what a great holiday we had yet again.

The hotel has some really sensible measures in place for COVID-19, masks inside and regular temperature checks with clients, which is reassuring.

The fabulous staff are all working extra hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible, alway smiling and always polite.

The hotel is spotless and they are doing everything inline with Covid-19 guidelines, in fact, the hotel has just been awarded 2 certificates with 100% scores, so they are taking this all very seriously.

We enjoyed a beautiful suite overlooking the pool area with stunning views out to sea with the Albanian mountains in the distance.

Our room was immaculate with two separate en-suites and lovely facilities.

The food in the restaurant is always of a good standard but this year the staff serve you from behind screens, which we actually preferred! The à la carte restaurant is a must! The choice is excellent and the dishes are lush, be sure to book your table as soon as you arrive so as not to miss out.

There are 3 lovely pools, the main pool overlooks the sea next to the Olives restaurant and food court, there is a small toddlers pool and then there is the quite adult pool if you just want peace and quiet.

There is an onsite independant shop with virtually everything you need all at sensible prices.

Mosquitos have never really been a problem for us over the years and we appreciate that some people attract them more than others but you can help yourself by following common sense procedures, such as keeping your doors and windows to your room closed at night, be sure to wear repellents and they hate the air con too.

Entertainment is provided by the hotel and is excellent and you'll be sure to enjoy these evenings.

This hotel has become our second home and we have some dear friends and cannot wait to return as soon as possible.

Thank you to the whole Mareblue Team and Rokas family for always making us feel so special!

Upon arrival we were put in a room where the next room was swearing and shouting and their children we’d been there 5 mins 2 year old crying scared requested to be moved after moaning we were moved. Rooms were dated but I must say they were clean! Beds changed daily cleaners were so friendly towards my little girl even when we were hit with Thomas cook going under. Unfortunately we were here when Thomas cook went under left a note on the bed to see reception on the Monday we only arrived Sunday lunchtime Monday we were told pay up or get out after paying nearly 2000 we didn’t have that sort of money not knowing wether we’d get it back. Tuesday we had to go back to the manager who had an awful attitude no compassion at the fact I had my
2 year old and it wasn’t as simple as just producing cash we were told get someone in the U.K. to text through card details they could’ve been anyone’s details! Tuesday afternoon after wasting 2 days of our stay we were told we could stay but by then it was already ruined. Kids club was breast although daughter not a fan of lutra lutra but the girl did come over after and did speak to us and she was lovely. Mosquitos were awful but only me despite having insect spray on. Would recommend the boat trip to Corfu and the bus trip to kassioppi which was booked at the hotel very reasonable and enough time for lunch and looking around. Overall we wouldn’t come here again even though the hotel over all is in a beautiful location just knowing they’re attitudes are awful people who were staying until Thursday didn’t need to pay but because we turned up Sunday did didn’t seem like the fair situation.

A stunning setting, fantastic food, hardworking staff and a good atmosphere. What more can you want?

The hotel have clearly gone to great lengths to protect their guests and themselves with face masks, hand sanitiser stations all over the place and temperature checks before entering the restaurant.

We were given a free upgrade to a superior room and it was the right amount of space for three of us, with the bathroom (and shower in particular) being really good.

Would very much recommend a visit to the a la carte restaurant (we used the one by the main restaurant as Olive was closed because of thunderstorms) and the food was truly restaurant standard. Even the buffet food each day was of an incredibly high standard, especially the chicken gyros and lamb in the restaurant and the homemade pizzas from the pool bar.

Special mention to the sheer cleanliness of the place, it must take a huge effort to maintain such standards.

The only negative comment I would make is that the soft drinks on draught were ‘own brand’ rather than actual Coca Cola. Larger plastic glasses would be preferable as well but I understand they might be harder to get in stock.

All in all, a fantastic holiday that will live long in the memory. Thank you, Mareblue!

After reading the latest reviews I was not looking forward to my week at Mareblue and was close to changing! How wrong I was. We came with Jet 2 after our holiday to Portugal was cancelled, we got a great deal and thought we would give it a go. Please remember these are different and difficult times. We upgraded to a deluxe room, I was a little disappointed when I walked in but then realised that because of covid they can’t use pretty bed covers and runners which helps with the look of the room, the bathroom however was amazing, fantastic shower and very modern. The resort we found to be extremely clean with the most amazing views I have seen. The main pool area we watched them disinfect every morning, plenty of sun beds any time of day. The food is ok, let’s be honest, you can’t help yourself you tell the staff what you want, we found them all to be very pleasant but then we always said good morning first. It is not very hot, the desserts however are delicious. Lunch is served at the pool area, fresh pizza from the pizza oven, and a few other choices. Beautiful ice cream always served with a smile and cakes. We didn’t go out in the evening after 8.00 so never saw a mosquito we were happy to chill in our room and watch films we downloaded before we came. All in all a lovely quiet relaxing break which is just what we needed after working through the pandemic.

Firstly we booked a deluxe room with sea view which apart from the overwhelming smell of damp as we first walked in was lovely, clean and good facilities although we bought our own coffee and took a teaspoon from the restaurant as eyeliner wasn’t practical.

The bar, staff are fantastic and a good range of free drinks and playable cocktails all made well by a friendly bar man and he’s thousands of pet wasps, grab ya drinks fast by the bar of be stung then run to your table. Meals out here aren’t practical when there are two large wasp nests the staff have done nothing about attached to the entertainment stage right next to where your eating. If u survive the day then you can sit back relax and enjoy good entertainment whilst being slowly eating alive by the swarms of mosquitoes eager for a feast.

The food, repetitive but understandable at the moment with limits on what they can do. Having it cooked all way thru would definitely improve it tho. Overall a lovely setting and glad I went but won’t go back

1st holiday got cancelled to cancun
2nd holiday got cancelled to turkey

Went into travel agent on the Friday said get me anything you have for weekend, pictures on site looked decent enough so I was just glad to be getting away

When arriving at the hotel you find out very quickly you're more or less in middle of nowhere however to be fair it was a weeks holiday with family so wasn't so much of an issue.

The hotel is sold as an all inclusive resort which if you like drinking the nastiest vodka and beer you will find on the planet I guess thats fair enough , if you want any decent alcoholic drinks then you are paying for it , put it this way im 43 and yet to come across any vodka I cant drink till I went stayed here .

Having arrived on the Sunday I visited the restaurant for dinner that night and the monday only , the food quality wasn't bad it was shocking by far the worst standard and selection of food ive seen in any hotel ive stayed ever unless you're a fan of chips , again ended up eating out every breakfast and dinner time at a beautiful restaurant 5 mins away from hotel run by an Irish lady with Greek husband truly saved my holiday.

Rooms were what I was expecting and being fair I was comfortable, the bed sheet never got changed once in full week , but got fresh towels and toilet paper dropped off 3 times lol .
I dont bother much ever on holiday about phones or WiFi however obviously kids need it like ever min of everyday again you have to pay for the privilege of using WiFi so you pay for weeks pass per device so 3 x weekly pass along with buying alcohol and food day and night quickly turns into a hotel thats not all inclusive

Couple things you will notice very quickly is staff cant really be arsed with anyone seldom interact with you , and mosquitoes are unbelievable no matter what protection you put on

Anyway probably the worst hotel I've ever visited , I wouldn't go back to this resort for free , its the only holiday I've been on in my life ive been desperate to go home

After booking a different hotel and having 6 days from hell we was moved to mareblue hotel what can I say from the minute we arrived we was made to feel very welcome, rooms lovely and clean, if we needed anything for the room a chambermaid would be sent very quickly as they don’t service the rooms because if COVID but our lady would knock to see if we needed anything if she was cleaning on our floor ,food is really good with a big selection of different foods, snack bar by pool serves great pizza as well as other food. Ice creams and deserts served all day which is great for kids and toasties 3-5.30pm, staff always smiling and there to help if you need anything, entertainment staff great always making people smile and laugh, pools are really big but cold, but beach only about 2 minute walk with sun beds, pedlos and speed boats to hire and the sea is lovely to have a paddle or swim.
Very COVID friendly, temperature check at reception when u first arrive and then every time u enter the restaurant, hand sanitizer stations everywhere and distance strips on floors, we as a family felt very safe.
We would like to give a big thank you to everyone at mareblue hotel for saving our family holiday and making our stay fab, I would highly recommend this hotel to others that are looking for a great hotel

Came here for a week with family and friends, we’ve just got back. let’s start with the mosquitos so we was all bit really badly first few days we couldn’t sleep at night coz they itched so bad, we spent a fortune in the hotel shop on creams and repellent, we had spoke to other families who said they was out more and worse at night times, one night we had to go in coz it was so bad. in the bar area everyone had bought repellent candles which seemed to help. Pool area lovely size pool kids loved it but you never saw anyone cleaning the area not even the sun loungers, and there wasn’t a life guard either. Our room was cleaned once the whole week we was there, they didn’t change bedding they just quickly swept and emptied bins, towels didnt get changed All week there was quite a few stocked up in wardrobe but still needed changing over. Food was ok, nothing for kids tho, all week it was mini hotdog sausage and chips, I did ask manager if they could put nuggets on for a change as kids was fed up of eating same thing, he said yes but it never happened, so kids was annoyed, A la Carte meal was much better than the buffet which we had once. Entertainment wasn’t much karaoke and dancers and a quiz, no entertainment for kids not even a pool table or air hockey to keep the older ones entertained abit, there was face painting and odd bit for younger kids through day but not a thing at night for them, entertainment staff Sam worked really hard tho he did do all water sport activities through day he worked long hours. I wouldn’t come back to mareblue just because of the mosquitoes and lack of choice of food for kids, and its a long transfer from and to the airport, hotel is in middle of nowhere really n surrounded by millions of trees this is why the hotel suffers so badly with the mosquitos.

Both the children's pool and Adults pool were open when I went on 9th April. The water was cool but refreshing once you got used to it. The weather was lovely 24_27 degrees in the day but did drop cool in the evening, so I would definitely recommend taking trousers and a jumper.
