We had an amazing time at the Mareblue! The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, the food and drinks were of good quality with lots and of options.

We had a complimentary room upgrade which was a lovely touch! We stayed in the Octopussy block.

Cleaners were very friendly and did an amazing job each day.

Their main pool is very large and the water seemed to be the perfect temperature to cool off in the heat ☀️ the hotel is also in the most stunning location (although relatively remote and you around 2 hours from the airport).

The entertainment was good and varied, I enjoyed aqua aerobics and my partner enjoyed the table tennis competition during the day. In the evening, they had live singers, dancers, bingo and karaoke which was all good fun.

We had an afternoon trip to the Old Town where a shuttle was provided for €30 which we felt was excellent value as it was around 1hr 50mins away!

The only negatives we experienced whilst away:

Unable to get by the adults only pool as guests reserved the sun beds from around 6am and these are not ever removed by staff! The same happened down at the main pool with people reserving sun beds under parasols and then guests not being seen all day. I think if towels are put out before 9/10am and then you are not to be seen, they should be removed!

Breakfast buffet not to my partners taste as the bacon was more like ham and mini frankfurter sausages and wet scrambled eggs. However, I enjoyed breakfast due to the range of fruit yoghurt and egg options!

Throw away plastic cups are used for all drinks down by the pool. These are not only bad for the environment, but it gave people an excuse to be lazy and dump them on the floor so when the wind blew, they were all surround the sun beds drawing in ants! Bins are provided around the pool but a few guests never used them so we felt that reusable plastic cups could be a better option.

Finally, although the food in “Olives” Al a carte resultant was amazing, the service was very slow (due to lack of staff) and we didn’t stay for desert due to the amount of wasps around our table. As our main course plates had been left for around 30 minutes before someone came to clear them, we attracted all the wasps and then couldn’t get rid of them, therefore we left as we were no longer able to enjoy the experience.

Overall, and despite the few negatives, we had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend and return to the Mareblue in the future.

Mareblue Beach Resort, Corfu

We had a nice 2 week stay at this lovely hotel, it is away from all amenties so is very peaceful and quiet. Our room was in the James Bond section overlooking the volley court and pool, our room was cleaned daily except Sundays and the safe in your room is free of charge. Shop on site provided everything. Entertainment Team worked constantly hard with waterpolo (twice a day), Aquaaerobics, Darts, Volleyball, Ping Pong and Bingo - they provided good entertainment and worked so hard trying to keep everyone entertained. Pool towels can be provided at 10 euro deposit per towel and can be changed every two days, the man did make you feel guilty when trying to get a clean towel by asking for your room number and checking against their sheet. You get your deposit back when you return your towel at end of holiday. Each night, two entertainment acts were on at the reception area and pool bar area. Restaurant food was excellent, plenty to choose from, food was hot and each night provided something different, deserts are the best. Minus point was no cooked omelettes at breakfast but they did do pancakes. During a 7 night stay you can eat at Pizzariera and Quills which you need to reserve with reception. Food at Quills was lovely, hot and tasty, didn't eat at Pizzariera the night we were booked in for as was ill, so unable to advise.

The hotel gardens are lovely, listen out for the musical bushes and all the room blocks are named after James Bond characters. Query, why couldnt James Bond theme music be played?

Now for the negatives - not much choice on a/l drink menu unless you like beer, wine, cocktails or soft drinks. Coffee is horrible, very strong with no taste. The soft drinks at pool bar are either flat or gasie - no taste and come in small tiny plastic cups. I suggest you take your own plastic cup or water beaker as there self service for water and soft drinks. Considering the weather was very very hot there's not enough parasols, this completely let the hotel down but there is plenty of sun beds. If you want to get a parasol you need to reserve one by 7am in the morning. Forget about getting a bed in adults top pool as people reserve them so early. This we felt was unfair and the hotel needs to sort this out.

Overall, it is a nice hotel except for parasols and A/L drinks. It was a nice rest away from work and the island is beautiful but we will not be returning to this hotel as like to experience other places.

This place is absolutely stunning.

On arrival we were shown the directions to our room. I paid for three people, I was expecting a room with a double and a single bed. However we were greeted by two bedrooms one with a double bed, one with two singles. A beautiful bathroom and a spacious balcony, accommodation was also ground floor. Had no issues with noise but I could hear the next doors toilet throughout the night.
The place was clean and looked like it had just had a makeover. Very well maintained.

There was a kettle with cups and enough towels for everyone. WiFi was easy to connect to and worked well. The telly you get a few channels, perhaps one in English but that’s usual in Greece.

There were already ants in our room on arrival, however, we found keeping any food items hidden helped this issue for the remainder of the holiday. Housekeeping would have definitely helped if I asked but do not like to bother them while I’m away.

There is security at both entrances, sadly stopping you taking your drinks out onto the beach but very understandable as the beach was very clean. All the groundsman are friendly and approachable.

Sadly the local area hadn’t opened up yet so no extra things to do but I’m sure in July the place would be open giving options for quad bikes and other things.

The two young entertainment people really tried hard to get you engaged yet not being to pushy. They work with the tools provided and try hard throughout even though it must be very weird hours and for the little pay they receive.

The ice cream station has ham and cheese toasties, however, you are limited to three items each person per trip, there was a lovely white older man serving, he helped us with our lingo and remained positive and calm throughout, unlike the other man who was quite frankly rude and dismissive of children.

The bars are amazing with the odd friendly staff member, quite Limited drinks unless you’re paying for your own. Always clean and quite busy.

Never got to book at the other restaurant as it was already full on arrival. The main restaurant was repetitive and the pool bar served pizza.

While at the sun loungers the spa ladies come and explain there packages, the lady in blue done my massage, oh the amount of tension she worked out was amazing I couldn't thank her enough, she was amazing. The other lady massaged my daughter. Thank you both.

The overall feel to this place is for older families. The pool was so cold we didn’t swim at all. There is volleyball and other activities set up but really not much for children.

I would definitely stay here again but in July August. Thank you for an amazing trip.

First of all, terrifying welcome, problem of room not available at check-in..
Unfriendly receptionists and unhelpful to arrange room change at 6:45 a.m. before our excursions which we missed

(because yes the buses do not wait for you 5 minutes because they have to cover half of the island of Corfu to cover their travel costs)

Short visit to the hotel, we were a young couple very scared of the mini Aqua boulevard near the snack bar near a 2-star campsite in the Landes.

We finally found the adult pool but no luck, we had to wake up at 6 a.m. to be the first to place the towels on the deckchairs.
Bring flip-flops because the floor is sticky if you don't clean the water-cooled Pepsi served in plastic glasses that blow away in the wind

(the swimming pool is great on the other hand but be careful no children)

The restaurant is great, at certain peak times communication seems impossible because of the noise in the canteen caused by the huge families as well as the waiters who clear the dishes like garbage trucks next to your table, you often have to come forward so that They clear your table, some waiters wait until we are at dessert to clear our 30 plates of main course starters.

Average wine probably cut with water, no water in the rooms, bring a bottle of water to fill in the refectory.

Excursions to avoid!! And misleading, check the transport time because it is not clear

Two that we had chosen, avoid the Albania trip from this hotel,
Wake up at 6:45 to take the bus which picks up the entire population of Corfu to drop us off at the port + endless customs (round trip) approximately 8 hours of transport for 2 hours of visits, equivalent to Paris - Cannes by car.
Visit of a ruined village in 2 hours, because traffic in Albania is very disrupted, which earned us lunch at 3:30 p.m. then return to the port at 4:30 p.m. then return to the hotel at 9 p.m.

Paxos - second excursion too long, 2 hours by bus / 3 hours by boat, small swim of 15 minutes supervised by our captain with his whistle.
The island is nice but not enough time to explore, nice restaurant and souvenir shop.

The return was endless, a boat without headgear which left us to dry in the sun for the 2.5 hours of return.

The mosquitoes are too present which spoils the evening.
Finally, no mosquito repellent device provided by the hotel, you can buy lemongrass yourself at your own expense to eat at the outdoor restaurant.

This hotel is ok if your not wanting a quiet holiday.
We paid for an upgraded room to have a sea view. What the hotel fails to tell you is that the room is located next to the main activity and child pool which has load music playing from 10 to 21:30 and from 21:45 even loader music from karaoke to live music up to 23:00 - 23:30.
The al a carte restaurant 1 of which is supposed to be in a romantic patio overseeing the ocean are both served at the pool bar because the staff state it is too cold to have on this patio.... even though t9he temperature is between 19-22°c on a night in the time where the food is served. (Basically the staff thinks its too cold for them to be serving away from the heat of the ovens.) Food is all sub par and done to the lowest of budgets.

All meals ( breakfast, lunch and dinner) are served on hot plates that aren't hot to which you get told to use the micro wave in the corner of the buffet hall.
The section in which it states snack bar or snack served means ice cream from 11 to 19:00 hrs and cheese toasties from 16:00 untill 19:00

When you leave a DO NOT DISTURB sign on your door which is written in English, greek, Spanish, French, German, the cleaning staff will still bang in your door load enough to wake the dead, and try to enter regardless, even when confronted they wait outside the room untill you leave.
We paid for a late checkout (6pm instead of 11am) the cleaning staff still pester you from 4pm nagging you to leave so they can clean the room to finish.

I will give a plus side to the hotel. The staff besides those on reception and cleaning are fantastic. They try everything in there power to help. They are a credit to the hotel
The reception staff are very rude. Pretend to be on there mobile phones when approaching the desk. Talk about you rudely and horribly in there own language not knowing we could speak it.

Long review short. I wouldn't recommend this hotel and wouldn't go back.

It was ok. No where near 4 star.
The menu is very basic each night, the food edible at least but not for ‘foodies’ same kinds of food each night, very bland.
The hotel is James Bond themed accommodation blocks - bit odd because no other references to this.
Accommodation was passable, not all rooms have been refurbished like the photos. My party had rooms in “Q”, “Octopussy”, “Blofeld” & “Nick Nack” (after moving from “Pussy Galore” due to leaking AC unit). Blofeld unit resembles the photos - all others were older and tired - but clean.
It’s definitely not a 4 star venue, perhaps a 3. If you want a cheap holiday then book this, if you’re used to good food and attractions nearby with good drinks then book elsewhere.
Staff were friendly enough but clearly overworked and overwhelmed. I submitted my review to the hotel via their in-house app and published a review this was responded with an automated message to say if we need anything to please call us - I did not as there’s nothing they could have done to resolve my comments and fair evaluation of the ‘resort’.
You have to pay a deposit for each pool towel and there’s no ATM on site, closest is the minimart down the hill. Bathroom towels tattered, stained and exceptionally small.
All poolside drinks are served in child sized plastic cups, whilst I am totally onboard with no glass at poolside I’m not sure why these must be so small when pint sized plastic cups or half pint are as inexpensive for the hotel and actually reduce the amount of cups per person used lowering trip to the bar frequency- bring your own larger cup.
Pool was absolutely freezing and no heat.
Sauna you have to pay for, gym majority of equipment was broken or unsafe to use.
Entertainment area- very basic, both pool tables and air hockey in the pool bar area out of use.
Grounds clean and looked after.
Massage was brilliant, I cannot fault the work of Poppy & Elsa, by far the best part of this photo stay.

I will not be booking again.

4 night trip to celebrate our anniversary. However this hotel and "all inclusive" left a lot to be desired.

Positives:
Great spa! Had a lovely massage and felt amazing after. The spa staff were very attentive, it was spotlessly clean and massage was fairly priced.
The whole hotel is SPOTLESS! The cleaning staff and grounds keepers work exceptionally hard.
Really really friendly staff. Really helpful.
Handy having a little market on site - would benefit from having an onsite ATM.
Great access to soft drinks and beer with self serve taps.
Beds and pillows really comfortable.
Good food - not huge range but everything was hot and tasty.
Amazing view over the sea and of Albania from the bottom pool.
Showers in the curtesy room were excellent and a good sized room to wash and change before leaving hotel after checking out of the room.

Negatives:
Lots of wasps. There was no sort of attempts to reduce these. No traps or citronella candles. Never had such a bad experience with so many.
Pool is not heated. As an october guest it was too cold to swim in - there were children shivering in the water.
Rooms need some repairs and fly screens to doors and windows. Again a lot of flys and wasps. Shower with terrible pressure, either to hot/cold and lots of rust in the bathroom.
Rooms really cold. Air con did not heat even setting the temperature high. No spare blankets in rooms and didnt get more even after requesting.
All inclusive drinks are very limiting - especially alcohol.
Advertises 2 al a carte both outside so chilly in october and 1 (olives) wasnt even open
Ice cream bar very stingy - half a scoop per person?
Luggage room requires some sort of security. Open to anyone who walks to it.

Overall it was an okay trip but left a lot to be desired. I cant really tell how they manage in high season as was pretty busy in October and shortage of sun beds, hard to book into restaurants and queues at the buffet. I would recommend if people are going for a long weekend and there is a deal available but could not spend longer here or pay full price to stay. I also would not return - mainly because if returning to Corfu would choose the south of the island as did not see that. I also think it is expensive for so much to be desired.

This is not a 4 start hotel neither an all inclusive one. I’ve been before to 4 and 5 starts via TUI many times but this one can’t compare to the other ones.
I just stayed a week with my family ( 2adults + 1 year old baby)
The room 2426 it’s old and the smell coming from the bathroom is disgusting. The furniture is old and broken, the material/ fabric of the single bed has a strange smell.
When we arrived in the room there were blood stains on the furniture the toilet had hair on it and was dirty…. I was forced to clean it myself properly.
The crib they provided for the baby didn’t had a mattress on it only a blanket stuffed underneath the sheets.
There is only one type of beer ZORBAS ( if you want a Corona, Mythos or any other kind you need to pay extra) if you want coffee outside breakfast you need to pay for it, also the cocktails are only a sugary coloured drink with no alcohol in it…
The food is good at the main buffet, the lunch and dinner was different every day , the breakfast was exactly the same every day unfortunately.
The have 2 other restaurants The Olives and The Pizzeria which you are only allowed once to eat for free at each , of you want other bookings there you MUST PAY FOR IT.
They provide towels but you pay a 10€ deposit and they give you clean one every 2 days.
There is no private beach access but there is a public beach nearby and for 2 sunbeds + 1 umbrella you pay 12€ .
Also there is a tax that you must pay it at the hotel when you do the check in which for 7 nights is 49€.
The only inclusive is up until 23:00 after this time you pay for everything.
All on all this is not an all inclusive 4 star hotel.

This is a disgusting campsite... it's not 4*. Transfer from the airport to the hotel in a minibus as old as the island and incredibly dirty, we were afraid to touch the seats. When you arrive at the hotel, no one welcomes you, takes care of your suitcases or takes you to your room. We manage to go down the stairs with our suitcases on our own...super easy! Discovery of the room and the sea view... I cried for 2 hours, really... it is dirty, very dirty, dilapidated, without storage, there is a real cleaning problem and the sea view that I paid directly onto the roof of the kitchens, with the noise of hoods and filthy odors. The swimming pool is crowded, it's impossible to get a deckchair if you don't get up at dawn. The buffet is of poor quality, the room resembles a giant canteen where noise reigns and the tension between the servers is palpable. The staff is generally rude. The buildings are ugly and their surroundings are not maintained, littered with straw trees in the early morning. The bathrobes are stained. The television is hung crosswise and without connection. The door seals are moldy. The gym is a horrible shed. Wifi doesn't exist anywhere and 4G doesn't work either, we seem to be cut off from the world. We had booked 1 week and left after 24 hours... we looked for another hotel to save our vacation, we will try to find an arrangement with the wonderful agency that sold us this horror.

The hotel was beautiful and well maintained. The staff were amazing and so friendly.

I had a group coach transfer from the airport but this went to a few hotels and Mareblue was the last stop. I booked a private transfer on the return journey and I would highly recommend doing that, it meant the journey was only 50/55 minutes (rather than almost 2 hours) and a lot less winding roads (so I didn’t get motion sickness).

When checking in the staff were so great, I was able to get my beach towel voucher (this was available with a 10 EUR deposit, I got this back when I checked out). I also paid the tax when checking in so didn’t have to worry about that at check out. I was given a ground floor room (which I didn’t realise until I got to the room) so I went back and asked for a first or second floor room. Reception were amazing and easily provided me with a new room that was exactly what I wanted.

The room was newly decorated, the bed was comfortable and air conditioning was great. The bathroom had a large open shower, it had low level steps but practically step free. The room was practically next to the adult only pool but it was quiet and calm.

I would strongly recommend booking the Al La Carte restaurants as soon as you check in. I was only staying for a weekend and I was told both were fully booked until after I left - this was a little disappointing as I had called ahead and told I could only book at check in. If the hotel allows short/weekend stays I would expect them to hold some tables back to allow them to be booked on the day for those guests.

The buffet isn’t bad, some delicious things are there but it was a little of the same every time, not such a big deal if staying for a short while. It’s a shame the pizza restaurant couldn’t be available as a take away.

The Mini Market was well stocked and reasonably priced. They even had a machine to pump up pool inflatables they sold,

I booked a massage (the ladies walk around the pool) and they were fantastic, they managed to fit me in on a short stay and the massage was amazing. She really worked out my knots and certainly helped me relax by the pool the next day.

Other than the Al La Carte restaurant bookings I have no complaints and would happily come back here again.

Direct transfer by Taxi from Airport to Hotel is quicker and worth the cost of the private transfer Takes between 45-60 minutes depending on traffic if using Taxi so halves the time that the travel by Coach usually takes as well as time spent waiting for other Holidaymakers to get to coach upon arriving at Airport We had a no show for Coach that meant we waited nearly 60 minutes before leaving to go to Resort which js why we took decision to use a Taxi when departing from Hotel
