I stayed here as a Solo Traveller for a week in August and found the apartments great. I was in Room 10, a lovely room on the top floor overlooking the pool. Angela and her family are great hosts and are on hand anytime if needed. I had a couple of issues with broken appliances during my stay but these were replaced straight away. My room was cleaned every day with towels/sheets replaced twice during my stay. The whole complex is spotless and the pool area was lovely and quiet, although traffic noise can be heard at times, mainly motorcycles and quad bikes. The location is handy with a few Restaurants nearby and bus stop 18 is only a stones throw away. The local Supermarkets hold limited, overpriced stock so I went to the Supermarket at bus stop 3 to stock up on any essentials needed for my stay. You can see why people come back year after year. I would stay here again and would definitely recommend these apartments. Thank you Angela and Family :-)

We booked this holiday relatively short notice when the travel restrictions eased during the summer. When we booked with TUI we added a request for a high floor, we know this is subject to availability, however we were a little disappointed that upon arrival we were allocated room 2 on the ground floor.

We paid for the air conditioning which was 7 euros / night and the safe which was 6 euros / week. As has been mentioned a number of times the rooms are very basic, however they are clean and they are cleaned every day. I think the bed linen and towels were changed twice a week.

In the bedroom we had 2 single beds that were comfortable enough. The air conditioning unit is above the balcony doors so the bed closest does get the full benefit or punishment from this. Our A/C unit had a bit of an erratic spell during the second week but this was resolved quickly. The wardrobe space and quantity of hangers provided was fine, but there was a shortage of drawer space especially if you are staying for 2 weeks.

In the kitchen there is a 2-ring hob as well as a kettle, toaster and a sandwich toaster. There was enough cutlery, plates etc for 2 people.

The bathroom was where the basic level was particularly noticeable. Yes, the wrap around shower curtain, the flooded floor, the shower hose needing to be hand held and the wash hand basin that empties even when the plug is in position.

On the balcony we had a table and two chairs and there is a washing line for damp towels and clothes. The balconies on the ground floor are quite large.

The pool area is quite small but there were always enough sunbeds whilst we were there and on a couple of occasions, we had the pool area to ourselves.

The pool bar has a limited selection of drinks and snacks although they are cheap. The pool bar was open from 10AM until 7PM. These hours probably suit the size of accommodation, however our holiday experiences have always been enhanced when we have had the opportunity to sit down and have a drink before we head off for our meal or after our meal, come back and meet with the other guests.

Angela who owns the apartments & her daughter and son that look after the pool bar are lovely people as were all the other holiday makers that we met whilst we were there.

For us the biggest issue and the one that would probably prevent us returning is the location. The apartments are located quite a long way from the beach, 15 to 20 minute walk. There are very few footpaths and you are therefore walking on the road. Within a 5 minute walk there are two shops, just don’t go to them if you are expecting to buy a lot! There are a few restaurants nearby but spread out along the two main roads that run to the front and rear of these apartments. The road to the rear does produce quite a bit of traffic noise that sometimes drowns out the sound of the rooster or the barking dogs.

We had an enjoyable holiday and we were pleased to be able to get away in the summer of 2021. The apartments are basic, which we knew. They are clean, which we hoped for and the people here were nice which is always a bonus.

Just returned from a 7 night stay at Villa Maria and it was wonderful. It's location is ideal for all the local restaurants, bus stop and beach.
The traditional Greek room was spotless, cleaned every day and was ideal for relaxing on the balcony overlooking the colourful well maintained gardens. The pool area is nice and quiet and never a problem finding a sun bed. The poolside bar is ideal and sells water packs which saves the arduous trail from the local supermarket. The owner, Angela, and her family, are perfect hosts and very helpful to all. I'm sure we will return ( after staying 3 years previous ) and would definitely recommend to all.

We were so glad we chose this apartment and resort. We've visited Skiathos five times but never stayed in Troulos before. The apartment was roomy and although a bit dated is was spotlessly clean, sheets were changed frequently . We were first in for this season and we had new towels and new kitchen utensils etc. Angela was our point of contact at Maria, she is a lovely lady and very friendly. The villa is a great base if you want to do some of the many walks on Skiathos, and i would recommend you buy the walking guide for 10 euro. I did around six of the walks. There are lots of lovely places to eat, our favourite is Victoria, and Captain Nikos is also a good spot for food and drink. There are also brilliant bars and eateries on the beach. We will definitely return, it was very peaceful, a total chill out holiday. We also met some wonderful people at the hotel. I was so nice in the morning to wake up to the cockerel crowing, and the goats and sheep grazing nearby. A wonderful place for a two week holiday.

We stayed for 2 weeks the end of July/August 2022. We arrived late but were greeted like old friends. Our room was basic Greek but super clean. Being on the main road meant no hill to climb at the end of the day/evenings out, big bonus we found as most accommodation around did have steep hills to climb. The pool was never overcrowded and pool bar had a range of drinks and small selection of snacks. The owner and her family were lovely and nothing seemed too much bother. Our cleaner kept our room spotless and always had a smile when we saw her. Would highly recommend this accommodation.

Just back from two weeks at this accommodation. Cannot praise the owners and staff enough for how things are run. Yes rooms are basic but immaculately clean and never had towels and bedding changed so much. Plenty of choices of tavernas within a few minutes walk and so easy to go all along the coast on the local bus 2 euros set price. Skiathos town highly recommended.

My stay was wonderful, arrived after a late flight to find a spotless room with a bottle of chilled wine ready for me. The rooms have a view of the pool and hillside, the balcony has comfortable chairs, the beds are absolutely fine with soft pillows. Very close to good restaurants and supermarkets. Bus stop 18 also close by. I am however, reviewing to praise my host. I lost my phone on my last night there. I was convinced I'd left it in the restaurant, Ratatouille but it was found in my room the following day, when it was cleaned. TUI rep let me know via email and I contacted Angela, my host. She very kindly went to town especially to find out how it could be sent to me. She went to 3 couriers only to find the cost was going to be 200 euro's. The plan was for her to keep it until my next visit but following a FB appeal it has now been picked up and is on it's way home . Kindness of folk is so heartwarming and the power of FB can be awesome. Huge thank you to my lovely host and I highly recommend Villa Maria if you need a reasonably priced, gentle but close to everything Skiathos has to offer, holiday.

This place was very clean. Rooms cleaned every day. Very basic. Single beds pushed together. Nice location. Supermarket 5 minutes away and lots of restaurants around (avoid Capt. Nicos).
Air con costs €7 a day. There is a safe there (at a cost). You’ll need to buy washing up liquid, a sponge to wash dishes, salt and the usual other stuff we need. I’ve been to lots of places where there is always something there to start you off.
Angela, the lady running the place was very nice. You have to pay a bed tax of €0.50 a day. So €3.50 for the week. Shower and toilet facilities the same as other Greek islands, loo paper in the bin. Take something for the mosquitoes or they’ll eat you alive lol.
There is a pool area and bar at the site, which we didn’t use. We love the beaches

Just returned from a two week stay at the Villa Maria and have to say Angela is the most helpful host you could wish for. The room was a good size, comfortable and very clean. The pool is quite small but never overcrowded and is very peaceful. The internet is the best I have had in Greece with good speed and coverage. There is a small poolside bar which is attended by Angela and her daughter. The hotel is in a good location close to a bus stop, several restaurants & supermarkets and a 15 minute walk to Troulos beech without any steep hills.
