Magnificent location: the location is really very beautiful.
Unfortunately, however, the structure is not adequate for the cost: the room had several aspects that were wrong (bathroom doors do not close, no lights, rusty parts, old and broken bathroom fixtures...).
There are two swimming pools (apparently sea water): unfortunately they are not clean (the edge is all full of green mold as is the inflatable that was floating on top).
The staff is unwelcoming: never a smile.
It's sad because the place would be magnificent, but the price is truly exorbitant for what it offers!
I wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it.

Facilities, decoration, location, pools are on point!
Cook was fantastic!! Great dinner!

Very poor breakfast
We booked a room with sea view - there was no other option in booking. Didn't get it.
We were asked to pay the accommodation tax even though we had already paid it via booking.
We were also asked to pay 4% of our bill because we used a credit card. In cash! Pretty sure that isn't even legal.
Overall this hotel deserves a better management.

Dear Marry, Thank you for your comments. However, we would like to highlight some parts of them. 1. In relation to the breakfast, we offer a rich traditional breakfast and we would be glad to hear any suggestions, in order to improve it . 2. In relation to the sea view, ALL of our rooms have sea view from their blaconies or from their terraces, and all the photos of our hotel, depict the reality. 3. According to our policy we collect the government tax during check out. WE NEVER, charge the government tax in advance. We charge only, in advance, the room accommodation, because our prices are non refundable 4. Because the issuer of your credit card imposes extra charges (4%), while the holder of the card travels abroad, these charges, are paid by the card holder. After the above mentioned, we believe that everything was legal. With respect Αegila Boutique Hotel

An excellent resort at an excellent place with incredible view/rocky beach/ 2 swimming pools. Rooms are very tidy, clean and comfortable. Linen and materials are of high quality, cocomat etc. Hospitality is the strongest point!!! Service is also excellent which includes local and international cuisine with high quality products. We will ABSOLUTELY visit it again in the future.

TERRIBLE experience. Let's start: Having booked three nights in August for almost 400 euros, my boy and I expected to find, given the excellent reviews, a welcoming structure suitable for the standards of a 4-star hotel. We were wrong. We showed up at the door, we try to contact the owner by phone, using the number on the sign next to the gate. No reply. After a couple of attempts we were finally opened and we were "welcomed" into the structure. We enter and observe the pool, so neat and imposing in the photos, so dirty (the edges were green) and unkempt in reality. After a quick look at our room, we go to the reception to check in: we fill in the corresponding form and after waiting for 10 minutes, we are finally "rejected" by the owner (who meanwhile was busy preparing cocktails while completely ignoring us) and finally we can go back to the room. We proceed to a quick inspection of the room: the completely black "marble" walls in the corners, the unmade bed and the sheets badly and clumsily stuck to the sides which gave an idea of disorder and carelessness. We move on and see fingerprints on the mirror and in the bathroom the odd presence of a rusty pipe coming out of the shower wall. After looking at each other and wondering where we are, we rush to find the owner to present our complaints. He tells us to wait for him in the room. He arrives and we share with him all the problems mentioned above, hoping for a thousand apologies and a quick cleaning or transfer to a suitable room. Instead, he tells us that the room was cleaned in an arrogant way. Thus begins a heated discussion during which I even wonder if I'm a diva because I couldn't stay there. (note that my son does not speak Greek, so I had to negotiate with him as the owner does not speak English). He presented unacceptable behavior towards a woman. Surprised by this behavior and by the constant stubborn statements of the owner, who repeated that it was not dirt on the walls but marble, we decide: I put my hand on the floor and raise my dusty and blackened finger asking if that was also marble: the owner, when squeezed, finally asks us what we wanted: we explain how such treatment was unacceptable and how, more than anything else, it was the arrogant attitude that bothered us. He told us we were free to leave: so we did. At the checkout, the manager of the structure keeps repeating that the room, in his opinion, was perfect: So I answer that if these are standard rooms, he can easily put pictures of the rooms in the same conditions online. so that you get adequate feedback. Between surprise and bitterness, we therefore leave this hotel, NEVER to return AGAIN. This review is not meant to be a nasty accusation, but rather a statement of what happened, to make future potential visitors aware that it is a bait and switch. A shame really because it has to be said that the location, although deeply secluded, enjoyed a wonderful view.

Let's start from the assumption: having booked three nights in August for almost 400 euros, my girlfriend and I expected to find, also given the excellent reviews, a welcoming structure adequate to the standards of a 4 star.
We were wrong.
Present ourselves at the door and try to contact the owner by telephone, using the number indicated on the sign next to the gate. No reply. After a couple of attempts it finally opens for us and we are "welcomed" inside the structure. We enter and notice the swimming pool, so tidy and imposing in the photos, so dirty (the edges were green) and unkempt in reality. After having seen our room quickly we go to the reception to check in: we fill out the form and after waiting a good 10 minutes, we are finally "dismissed" by the owner (who in the meantime was busy preparing cocktails completely ignoring us) and we can go back to the room.
We proceed to a quick inspection of the room: the "marble" walls are completely black in the corners, the bed is unmade and the sheets are badly and awkwardly stuck on the sides which give the impression of disorder and carelessness. We proceed to notice footprints on the mirror and the curious presence of a rusty pipe protruding from the shower wall. After looking at each other and wondering where we had ended up, we rushed to find the owner to make our grievances known. He tells us to wait for him in the room. He arrives and we make him aware of all the problems mentioned above, hoping for a thousand apologies and a quick cleaning or transfer to a suitable room. Instead we were told that the room was cleaned in a rather arrogant way. So a heated discussion begins during which my girlfriend is even asked if she was a diva for not being able to stay there. Stunned by this behavior and by the continuous stubborn declarations of the owner, who repeated that it was not dirt but marble, we decided that it was really too much: my girlfriend passes a hand on the ground and raises her dusty and blackened finger asking if that too it was marble: the owner, cornered, finally asks us what we wanted: we explain how such treatment was unacceptable and how, more than anything, it was the arrogant attitude that annoyed us. We were told that we were free to leave: so we did. At checkout the manager of the facility continues to repeat that the room, in his opinion, was perfectly in order: I therefore reply that if those are the standards he can easily put photos of the rooms in the same conditions on the internet, so as to receive adequate feedback. Between amazement and bitterness, therefore, we leave this hotel, never to return again. This review is not intended to be a sinister accusation, but rather a declaration of what happened, to make future potential guests understand that it is a decoy.
A real shame because it must be said that the location, although profoundly isolated, enjoyed a wonderful view.

Aegila resort can not be called a « boutique hotel »! Despite the comfortable rooms, a nice breakfast and good location with spectacular view, most of the staff is inexperienced and makes you feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. They were not friendly and made us feel like we were intruding. They lacked professionalism and rigor. The pool water upon our arrival was dirty, the path towards the beach was unkept and littered and the overwhelming amount of wasps ruined any possibility to enjoy the outside seating.
The hotel was badly maintained with many broken items, some electrical appliances were even hazardous.
It is expensive and bad value for money.
We would not recommend this hotel.

Dear, thank you for your comments. Statistically the grade of our personnel in summer period, is 8.5/10. We clean the pool on a daily basis, but we are in the nature and when the winds go to 7-8 B, it is inevitable to be compeletely clear. The hotel is new and we renovate it each spring. Best regards Aegila

We stayed in deluxe suite in the upper level. The view from the room was breathtaking !! Staff and owner very friendly and helpful. We spent hours relaxing by the pool just looking in to the horizon . The negative aspect was that the room had thin curtains and we woke up with the sunrise. Breakfast was good -especially the homemade pies. Very nice architectural design but some cheap materials used in the in side . Bed and mattress just amazing !! It was a good overall experience but a little overpriced for its offering ...

This hotel has only been around for about a month and we loved it. We stayed in a tower room on the top floor. The room was very nicely decorated, flat screen tv, aircon and a great view of the sea. It even had a private rooftop terrace.

The owner has funny, doesn't speak a lot of English, but we understood each other.

Breakfast was homemade with freshly squeezed orange juice served on the deck.

They even have two pools, one wasn't working due to a huge rain and thunder storm.

Unfortunately the wifi was very good but was broken during the storm as well.

We would stay here again anytime.
