Just back from a three night stay in this hotel, it was an interesting stay. Main issues were: 1. the hotel rooms have an open bathroom area. I've attached a photo. OK if you are rooming on your own, but not great for friends. 2. the pool area was never cleared up in the morning, glasses and bottles on the bar area, towels around. Not that many beds, although went up early so managed to get one. 3. the pool is lovely but small. 4. the staff are friendly enough, but.... when we checked in, we asked if we could have lunch as it had been an early start, the man on reception, said yes at 4pm, turns out if you actual ask someone in the bar area they will make sandwiches for you! We asked someone in the bar area if the roof bar was open, his answer was no, his colleague had been in a car accident and therefore he had to work downstairs, obviously no one to cover. 5. breakfast is a case of work it out yourself. No menus on the table, so no idea what you can have, there's a lady cooking eggs, but the waiter didn't speak great english, therefore we saw a few wrong orders. All that said, the rooms were comfortable and very clean, great views of the sea and knowing all of the above I probably would stay there again. Croatia was lovely and this hotel is a short walk to the beach.

The best part of Hotel Ola was definitely the room we stayed in. As others have noted the shower/toilet situation was a bit odd as they are incorporated within the bedroom, not in a separate bathroom. So my wife and I went on the very nice balcony whether the other wanted a bit of privacy. The hotel does have some issues. The location is not ideal, it's about two miles the other side of Trogir from the airport. It is possible to walk into town but it took about 40 mins and the pavement got very small in a few places. The water taxi which is approx a five minute walk from the hotel is definitely the way to go. About £3 for a return journey, when we were there it departed for Trogir at half past the hour and returned from Trogir on the hour. Also, the hotel sits between two roads, with one only about 20 years away from the roof terrace. They appear to have attempted to grow plants to provide some cover but when we were there they had all died. Also, the pool is at one end of the roof terrace and the water was freezing, so instead of it being a focal point it really wasn't. The week we were there the bar on the roof terrace was closed, apparently due to a staff shortage. This was a common theme. On more than one occasion when I went to the downstairs bar there was no one serving so I had to ask at reception. One time I could hear staff in a back room talking. Similar issue with breakfast - there was a grill where you could place an order but one morning the person cooking was no where to be seen, eventually emerging out of a back room after approx 10 minutes, which seemed odd at 8:30 am with about five tables occupied. Also, one day our room hadn't been made up after 3 pm which seemed odd given there were only about 50 rooms and. When staff were present they were very good, helpful and friendly. Although we arrived a few hours before check-in time our room was ready, and as we were leaving another couple arrived early and they were given a different room from what they had booked so they check in. There was an unfortunately very unpleasant smell right outside the front of the hotel, so we kept our face masks on a few extra seconds every time we went out. Room - 4 stars/Hotel - 3 stars/food - 3 stars/staff - 5 stars when they were present, no stars when they weren't. We only paid about £80 a night, at that rate it was fair value for money. We met other guests who paid over £200, which to me would have been a rip-off.

Poorly designed hotel, run by people who don’t know how to run a hotel or provide service. There are better choices , have been traveling as a couple for 15 years. There are better choices in trogir, stay away from this citation version of faulty towers.

First the best thing in hotel. Room is very good, comfortable, big enough with very good bed. Interesting concept with open bathroom. Common area is like some hostel, poor equiped and not finished. Industrial floor is terrible. Food is poor but tasty (best with this ingridients). Sure not value for money.

I went here in October 2019, the weather was gorgeous around 22c or more. The hotel was very close to the airport, Split, around a 12-15 min drive in a taxi. The hotel is beautiful and we spoke to the owner who was very welcoming and friendly, a group of architects designed the hotel and that is what explains the great design and attention to detail. The rooms we had overlooked the sea and it was a wonderful vista. The bathroom does have just frosted glass doors and I shared with a friend, so it could be awkward however there are toilets near the restaurant too. The roof terrace is beautiful, although I was disappointed they didn't turn on the heating in it, because of the season, even at request. We still went in the pool on the roof but it was unbearably cold. The indoor pool was also not warm, but the steam room and saunas were amazing, and you can even plug in your own music. The breakfast was healthy and delicious, very good for non-diary and non-wheat people. There was a nice selection of fresh juices, bread, eggs and you can request an omelet or poached eggs for no extra charge. We also tried the massage at the spa which was bookable, a very relaxing time, and perfect for pre-reading/relaxing on the roof. We got the water taxi to Trogir and never walked, it was very cheap around £2/3 I think. Once we went to Split but it was far to go from Trogir and then Split on the ferry and then we got a taxi back. Split was like any normal European city, it had nice pavements. The waterfalls we took a coach to from the hotel were well worth the visit, there are 17 in one site. It was beautiful in the Autumn, even though that was the only day that rained.
