Nestled in a prime spot, the Hilton Hotel Tahiti receives high marks for its spacious rooms that boast stunning views, despite occasional remarks about the need for updates. The hotel's array of amenities, including robust WiFi, a sparkling pool, diverse dining options, and a gym, are often highlighted by guests.
Service at the hotel is generally celebrated for its attentiveness, although there have been some reports of delays. While some travelers feel the cost of food and amenities doesn't match the value, the overall contemporary atmosphere and cleanliness are consistently praised.

I stayed in two separate nights in April 2022. I booked through Hilton using points, and as a Diamond member, I was upgraded both times, with coupon for free drink. The first stay, the room is facing the outdoor pool (in the west wing if you will, 5th floor, Room 540s ), and in the second stay, the room is facing the ocean (east wing if you will, 3rd floor, Room 320s). The west wing rooms are a bit bigger than the east wing rooms, as they both have kind-size bed and sitting areas. Bed is very comfy; the shower (no tub) is roomy with good water pressure. Everything seems clean and fairly new. Both rooms have a balcony with table and chairs.
The hotel has a pretty big outdoor pool that offers spectacular view, especially during sunset as the sun set behind Moorea. It has a pool bar with sitting in the water.
The hotel also has a fitness center. It has dumbbells up to about 20kg, benches, adjustable cable station, a leg press machine, and the usual cardio machines (treadmills, elliptical, and stationary bikes). Equipment are all in good shape and seemed fairly new. Behind the fitness center is a spa. When I visited and asked about a massage, the reception went over the offering and she told me the massage is free (and it was!) Booked a deep tissue massage (60min) and it's a good strong solid massage. I highly recommended everyone to stop by and check it out.
I had a lunch at the hotel. The food is good but a little slow on the service. I also had a breakfast there (free for Diamond member), and it's a buffet with selections of cold and hot items. If you are paying for breakfast, you have two choices: the cheaper one only covers cold items while the more expensive option covers everything.
Other info: taxi ride from airport range between 2000 to 2500 XPF, not sure why the variations. From hotel to airport is a bit cheaper, 1500 to 2000 XPF. There is a shopping center across the street from the hotel. There is a bridge connecting the two (just outside the reception area of the hotel). In the shopping center, it has a pharmacy that conduct COVID testing - Antigen Rapid test cost 1500 XPF in April 2022, which is half the price of the airport offering, and you get the result in 15 min or so; they print out the result for you. The shopping center also has a supermarket, a food court, a bank, restaurant, and vini (phone company store like AT&T or Verizon in the USA that I bought the sim card from, cost 1000XPF for 3GB of data sim card, works for all islands).
Overall, I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Tahiti and would recommend it to everyone!

This was a great place to stay for decompression after a couple of weeks island hopping around French Polynesia, At first I wished they had a better view of Moorea like the gardens and lagoonarium of the Intercontinental but to be honest I just needed a nice clean space and a chill out pool to lay around for a day before coming back home to reality. I stayed overnight and asked for a late checkout at 6:30pm, since most US bound flights leave at 9:20 pm from the airport, It was an extra $200 but what the heck, I'm on vacation and needed to rest and shower, hang out by the pool etc so it wasn't a big deal. Also the Carrefour grocery is right next door across the walkway, so if you are in need of snacks, juices, salami and croissants you can just stock up your fridge. Just don't bring it to the pool (lol). The pool is relatively empty in the early morning so you can get your laps in, and there wasn't any rowdy cruise ship types that Intercontinental gets inundated with on occasion. If you have swimming goggles you should look at the tiles at the bottom of the pool, they are iridescent and pretty cool to gaze at. Hotel has small details that were designed quite nicely. The rooms are super modern, and although my chosen aesthetic is wooden traditional Polynesion, it really was a comfy room, The rainfall shower was amazing, The Crabtree lotion was great for my sundried skin, and the little embedded lights on either side of my bed were great for reading. I wish I had tine to sample the restaurants but ran out of time. The interiors were nice, high ceilings, Lobby bar looked like a classic art deco bar in flatiron, and the airy openness of the hotel was really sunny and bright, even on a rainy day it would still be a nice place to hang out in and have a drink. Pool staff are really nice, one of then was quite the hunk too (hello lol). Concierge was super sweet, and ordered my airport taxi for me which arrived in about 15 minutes. Overall I would stay here again on my next trip to Tahiti. It was a very comfortable hub. Mauruuruu

Solid 4 and half stars. We were pleasantly surprised by this transient hotel. It was specious and welcoming. Great views even though there is no beach. The pool is really good with lots of room to stay in the sun. Our favorite part was food which was delicious and much better than even St. Regis (we stated there most of our trip). Coffee was great too. We also had amazing massages by a guy whose name translates to Volcano. He provided us with a truly therapeutic Tahitian experience.
The only strange thing was poor upgrade policy for Dimond members. We typically get at least 2 categories upgrade and frequently upgrades to suites especially since we are frequent travelers with Hilton points in 7 digits. The front-desk insisted that they can only offer 1 category upgrade even though there were rooms available. No sweat, since I booked with points, I was happy to upgrade to suite with cash. She offered a reasonable price and I enthusiastically agreed, then she called the house-keeping and we were told that suddenly none of the suites will be available because it was already after 3 PM and they can’t clean them in the PM…
We ended up paying for an upgrade to the largest room available which was again very reasonable. After all, we’re only staying for one night before flying back home.
When we arrived to Tahiti, we stayed 2 nights, so I booked suite with points from the get-go. We were upgraded to a better suite. Of note, avoid suites facing the highway due to fuel/exhaust odor.

The rooms and pool at this hotel are nice, but the service was so inconsistent that we overall had a negative experience staying here. They routinely charged our credit card for things that we didn't purchase (such as other guests' dinner, and in one instance they charged us 3 separate times for the same meal) and when we pointed it out on the billing statement they were not apologetic at all. We also booked a 4 hour island tour through their concierge for $260 and after waking up at 7:30am for it, the tour guide never showed up. When we inquired at the concierge, they just shrugged their shoulders and said they didn't know what happened. We asked if there was any way they could accommodate us for their mix-up (such as a voucher to the spa), as it was already too late to book a new activity for the day because they were already booked solid. They said no.
There are also small details that contributed to a poor stay. They have three restaurants on the property, but two of them are closed three days per week (the same days, so you only have one option on those days). Our room was often not cleaned or made up by housekeeping, even after we asked them to.
I got the sense that they are figuring out how to operate this hotel on the fly, and still have not worked out all of the kinks or figured out how to run it in a smooth manner for guests.

The check in process was horrendous.. took over an hour to check in .. that’s not acceptable from a well known hotel company like Hilton … it was hot and humid in the lobby even at 9pm .. you’d think there would be at least some fans .. when paying so much money it’s very disappointing.. we asked for extra towels when we got to our rooms since we were drenched in sweat which never arrived ! The rooms are not noise proof, you can hear the planes Landing at the airport .. beds are hard .. not comfortable to sleep on .. $7-$9 for bottle of water in the lobby ! Talk about highway robbery ! The food was equally expensive .. over $120 for 3 lunch sandwiches .. the mall across the road was also very expensive we got 9 bottles of water for $60… there’s no way this can be a 5 star hotel.. apparently the mall is owned by the same owner as hotel… who has roosters at a 5 star hotel or any hotel … the rooster would wake us up in the middle of the night and continue through out the day when we wanted to rest. The house keeping did terrible job , there would be globs of hair in the shower , definitely not ours since it was long blond hair … not leaving replacement tissues or towels .. we only got 2 bath towels.. very disappointing to spend thousands and have a terrible stay for our family vacation … not very hospitable … the concierge was hardly ever at their desk .. it was unattended 6/7 days we were there …

We stayed at the Hilton after we finished our Paul Gauguin Cruise before flying back to the US. I was debating between this hotel and the Intercontinental. I’m so glad we chose the Hilton, it was just perfect! It is brand new and the grounds and rooms and pool are lovely. We sat by the pool in super comfortable lounge chairs and just relaxed from the busyness of our cruise. We did not miss having a beach, because we had already visited so many beaches.
There is a bridge that connects the hotel to a shopping center with a pharmacy, grocery store (also has sundries, flip flops etc) with a good deli dept, sushi, French bread, pate and cheeses.
The rooms have robes, thick towels, hairdryer, iron and good toiletries (Crabtree & Evelyn) and a kettle for making tea or instant coffee (Nespresso maker would be a nice upgrade). Maybe we were not operating the TV correctly, but we could find only one station (CNN ) that was in English. Plenty of USB outlets in the rooms but you’ll need an adapter if you bring other
US appliances.
There is a nice gym with bathrooms and showers with towels and toiletries. There are additional private showers with bathrooms near the pool towel station. The towel station even has sunscreen if you check in early and yours is still packed.
Lobby has lots of places to relax and plenty of outlets for charging phones etc.
Overall, a great place to stay and we would go back again!

I found the Hilton Tahiti available for one night on my arrival in Papeete when other options were fully booked. Being a new hotel between the city and the airport I wondered why?
On check-in after midnight, the porter who was to show me to my room only showed me toward the elevator and left me to find my way with my bags. Perhaps he was too tired? Things improved in the room. It looked very new and spacious, with Tahitian styling touches and a large ocean facing balcony. The bathroom was also large with a double size shower, but no tub. All the five star amenities were in place. I woke after a few hours sleep to get breakfast before 10:00AM and needn't have bothered. The buffet, which was in a room beside the ocean view restaurant, lacked many western staples such as a good selection of cereals with healthy options, or a wide a selection of hot dishes, though omelettes were available cooked to order. The offerings of fresh fruit were also surprisingly limited, though there were enough pastries and breads.
After breakfast, I picked up a rental car, and the same porter helped me find the hotel's free parking, which was handy, and right across the street at the local supermarket. I would suggest visiting the supermarket before checking in to the Hilton if you plan to skip the uninspiring breakfast buffet. I didn't make use of the hotel bars or other dining but I did see other guests enjoying cocktails from the swim-up pool bar.
Speaking of the pool, this is the hotel's best asset. It has a great view, is large with lots of sun loungers and has bar & towel service. It's lagoon style, so it isn't very deep, which is safer for kids and relaxing for adults. So don't consider it if you are seeking to do laps for exercise.
I feel this hotel is still going through teething problems with inexperienced staff and less than stellar food service. Let's hope Hilton puts in the effort to bring this hotel up to the high standards of the competitors in Tahiti. To end on a positive note, the hotel roof is covered with solar PV panels. It would seem to be the only hotel in Tahiti using solar to reduce electricity consumption. (Though there are other bungalow style hotels in Moorea and Bora Bora using solar hot water).

We had an amazing stay at the Hilton Tahiti! We stayed at the Hilton before and after our trip to Bora Bora, and the service we received here was far superior to the service at the Conrad in Bora Bora.
The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcomed.
The property is new and beautiful, with an incredible open air lobby to greet you. The rooms were well appointed with great balconies and views overlooking the pool and ocean. (A small thing, but Nespresso machines would be a great addition in the rooms, rather than instant coffee packs.) The rooms were great sizes and very clean, with extremely comfortable beds.
The restaurants were all fantastic and we were very impressed by the food and choice. We ate at all 3 restaurants during our stays and had great experiences at all of them. Service at the restaurants, pool bar, and pool was top notch. The venue manager at Taitea was fantastic, she was extremely friendly and clearly had the restaurant at the top of its game.
The pool is beautiful and huge, with plenty of chairs/umbrellas, towel service, drink service, and free sunblock!
The sunsets are breathtaking, especially watching from the terrace of the lobby bar with a cocktail in hand.
They had great live entertainment out by the pool on the weekend nights when we were there which was a nice surprise and everyone seemed to really enjoy it. They had a local band, a singer, and a DJ on various nights to entertain everyone around sunset sitting by the pool area.
The concierge was fantastic and booked a Whale watching excursion for us that actually picked us up at the dock in front of the hotel.
There’s a supermarket across the street attached via a walkway over the road where you can pick up food and drinks for your room.
The front desk was able to have a taxi called for us whenever we needed one. They also allowed a very late checkout for us for a small fee if your flight is late, like our was. It’s very close to the airport, as well.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience here and wish we could’ve stayed longer! We would definitely return here!

Overall, we had a fantastic experience here and wish we could’ve stayed longer! We would definitely return here!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton hotel. Upon arrival we received a warm welcomes with cold tea and a Lei. We arrived quite early and were fortunate enough to be able to get into our room early. The hotel is quite new and beautiful. We had a ocean view room with a balcony. Highly recommended. As Hilton Honors Aspire Care member we have automatic Diamond Level. We receive a $250 credit and a one night stay at a Hilton Resort one time per year. I highly recommend this American Express Card if you travel at least one time per year.
The food was amazing. Breakfast was included as a Diamond Member and it was fabulous! Dinner was slightly expensive (as Tahiti is pricy) but worth it and we used our credit.
The room was quite nice, small fridge and coffee maker. We spent most our time at the pool which is right next to the ocean. The pool also offers free cabanas and a swim up bar. It was not crowded at all.
They are still renovating rooms which was the one problem we experienced as the were renovating the room next door to us and started work at 7 am- not cool.
Otherwise we had an amazing stay. The staff was quite helpful and always welcome you with a smile. Highly recommended stay. We stayed one night before our cruise. It was the perfect cure after traveling on a overnight flight to Tahiti!.

Incredibly welcoming staff, clean rooms, immaculate grounds, and amazing pool! We booked this hotel because it was close to the airport and ferry, so we didn't expect the resort amenities. We were blown away! The staff was incredible, and you can't beat the location. Big plus for travelers who are taking a late flight...this Hilton has a well-appointed, comfortable lounge for travelers with showers and amenities so you don't have to arrange for a late checkout. Also, the Hilton has a pedestrian bridge to a mall with a Carrefour. Get your Tahiti souvenirs from here at a much better price than the souvenir shops. Also, the hotel is about a 15 minute/1700xpf ride to the ferry (make sure you have the taxi driver use the meter rate) and a 10 minute/2100xpf ride to the airport.

The taxi ride is approx 3000 franc. If you arrive at the airport you just grab one there. There are plenty of taxis.
We traveled the island by car and got out and wandered several times. (this was in february) There were no mosquitoes that bothered us from early afternoon to about 5pm.

Yes, just ask the concierge at the hotel.
