Manaeva Lodge is a well-tended little oasis with a few restful rooms close to the international airport, and they were able to offer a day stay after our cruise and shuttle to the airport.
For additional fees, Reva brought us from the cruise port in Papeete to their place, and we also had a delicious dinner there (chicken and seafood are offered).
The stay included fresh fruit welcome, access to a stocked kitchen and a little spa that was kept at a refreshing “ocean temperature”.
They have a garden with tropical fruit trees, a shaded sitting and dining area, and a tiny gift shop that also mentions offering storage of bags.
Reva patiently answered all my anxious Messenger questions ahead of time, and we agree wholeheartedly with the great reviews of this calming little lodge.

We chose this place for proximity to the airport as we were transitioning overnight.
Our host met us at the airport and returned us the next day. It’s a 5 minute drive. The rooms are located on the ground level, there are stairs to manoeuvre with luggage, but help is offered. The rooms are fairly new. There is a/c, wifi, a small fridge, great shower. There is a communal kitchen with a purified water fountain. We got a welcome lei when we arrived, and a small snack. They both speak some English, more than enough to get by.
We had a very nice Continental breakfast, with fresh fruit and juice, cheese, cold cuts, toasted baguette, and croissants in their outside dining area.
The only drawback, and it’s a tropical one, are the mosquitos. Bring repellent, but she also lights a mosquito coil to help.
On our departure, we were given a shell lei. Such nice added gestures.
Can’t describe the area, or things to do as it was just an overnight, but it’s a very nice place to stay.

We just spent a wonderful night at the Manaeva lodge. I can’t say enough good things about our stay. We were picked up from the airport after our flight from SFO by the owner and taken to a beautiful and meticulously cared for bungalow at Manaeva lodge, where we were greeted with a lovely fruit platter and incredible fresh juice. The room was perfect, exactly what we needed, complete with AC, a rain shower and incredibly quiet for a good nights rest. We enjoyed a very delicious breakfast in the morning with fresh baked pastries before being driven to the ferry terminal by the host to head to moorea - and so enjoyed the company of our wonderful host. This place is paradise and I wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else on Papeete. Truly wonderful, can’t wait to come back! Thanks again for an amazing stay!

I can't add much to the other reviews. Everything they said was accurate. This is a great place to stay, especially if you get in late and leave early the next day. We booked 2 rooms as a family and stayed 2 nights. The hosts are very accommodating and helpful. One thing not mentioned before is that they have cars for rent. We rented a car and took a drive around the island. It was very convenient. On arrival at the airport they picked us up from the airport and for a small fee took us to the ferry terminal on departure day which was a bit farther away. Our entire family was very pleased with our stay here. It really started our vacation on a high note.

We stayed at the Lodge in the bugaloo and in a large room for a total of 4 nights. The lodge is located up the mountain from the Airport in a residential neighborhood. You are surrounded by tropical plants and flowers. The beds are comfortable, they will serve you breakfast and dinner if you give them advanced notice for a reasonable fee. There is a shared kitchen with toaster and hot and cold water cooler. The owner Reva is on-site lives upstairs. They also rent cars which is very convenient and also offer free transportation to the airport and inexpensive pick-up from the cruise terminal. They have an outdoor gift shop which is inexpensive...and they provide a beautiful greeting on arrival. We highly recommend you consider the lodge for your stay on Tahiti.

We only had a short transit stop in Papeete for a few hours, but we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Manaeva Lodge. The most outstanding aspect, other than the great airport location, was the warm hospitality we received from the hosts. We were met from our incoming flight and whisked up the hill to the hotel. Upon arrival we were provided a tropical fruit plate and juice after being shown to our room and had a short chat with our hosts and planned our return trip to the airport early the following morning. The room was very nice, clean and comfortably furnished, with AC, Netflix, and a great internet connection. We couldn’t have asked for more. It was a great place to lay our heads for 6 hours or so. We would highly recommend this place as the best place to stay during an airport transit.

We arrived in PPT without many expectations about our future stay at Manaeva Lodge. But we must confess that they really exceed any expectations!

First, our flight delayed more than 2 hours and even though they waited for our arrive. And, when we land, they had the patient to wait me and the king queue to exchange money.

When we arrived at the lodge, almost 11:00pm, we had some beautiful and delicious fruit plates and juices waiting for us. So kindly! Thanks about it!

On the next day (we just stayed one night, since we just slept to get a flight on the next morning), a excellent breakfast and, again, a free shuttle.

But is not just this! They were so kindly with us that, since the airport isn’t without luggages services by now, they allowed us to leave the luggages until our return day. Thanks a lot about it!

About the room: really impressive how beautiful, clean and comfortable it is. For sure we would recommend it!

This is a perfect spot to spend a few nights while exploring Tahiti or to have a restful night before continuing on to other islands. Our room (a bungalow) was very comfortable and clean. The hosts are incredibly accommodating and picked us up from the airport as well as dropped us off at the ferry terminal. Be sure to have their breakfast - fresh baked pastries, great coffee, and juice from fruit they grow on the property. A fantastic place!

This a great property, motivated folks who run a really great facility. Reva and her husband really take the extra steps to make you feel welcome. They often are used for an overnight as you will see in the reviews, and we did that on our outbound (but we saved a few days on our return), they will pick you up and drop you off at the airport. Communication is excellent.

In our case, we wanted to stay a little longer, and rented a car as well. The "downstairs" is quiet and reserved for guests, whilst the owners are upstairs (do not take this badly - it is VERY QUIET and very private. There is a kitchen, and laundry. With just 3 units - its very spacious and the smiles are contagious.

Could not recommend more highly. You will not be disappointed

Extremely pleasant and accommodating staff run this conveniently located bed and breakfast. We enjoyed a small, clean and comfortable bungalow and a fresh breakfast during a one night stay. The host stores our kuggage, drove us downtown and met us with our bags at the ferry terminal later in the afternoon after a day of exploring Pepeete. Recommended!!
