About

#1 of 2 Speciality lodging in S' Horta
Far off the beaten track, away from crowds and noise, Sa Pletassa provides guests an oasis of tranquillity. Finca Sa Pletassa is situated in the countryside, in a relaxing, calm environment, yet only a few minutes away from the closest beach (Cala Marçal - Porto Colom), a feature that contributes to the unique charm of our finca. Cala d'Or with its marina and a broad range of restaurants is a mere 7-minute drive away and the golf course Vall d'Or is even closer, situated 3 km inland. In general, the area offers plenty of choice for activities like surfing, sailing, hiking, rock climbing, cycling etc. Of course, we are also happy to spoil you, while you are spending the day indulging in relaxation in our gardens and by the pool. Since 2012 Finca Sa Pletassa has been Swiss-owned and personally managed by the owners.

The setting is breathtaking: among lemon/orange trees and a vineyard, you find hospitality and service nonplus ultra. The attention to details, whether in the rooms with simple, yet elegant decor, or the delicious breakfast buffet next to a beautifully set terrace and swimming pool is of the highest level. What sets this property apart from the typical vacation hotel is the Swiss manager who leaves no wish unfulfilled and cares about the well-being of guests. Speaking of guests: they were mainly Germans, Austrians and Swiss people at our stay, some with young kids who behaved very well. Altogether, a unique opportunity to visit Mallorca and stay in a personalized, clean, and quiet place.

I had high hopes and all my expectations were fulfilled by good margins! What a lovely place Sa Pletassa is. Lying in peaceful and beautiful surroundings but still close enough to restaurants and superb beaches. But a car is needed of course. The welcome was very friendly and the service impeccable all through our stay. We had a spacious lovely room with patio. The estate was grand, every corner was clean and well planned to smallest detail. The garden and pool area included. We loved every minute of our stay at Sa Pletassa and Mallorca in general. The only thing that bugs me a bit is that it seems that German is becoming the first language on the island. Germans too have fallen in love with Mallorca. (The leaflet with hotel info in our room too was only in Spanish and German.). Highly recommended!

Have just returned to a wet and windy Ireland after a relaxing(!!) four days with Babs in Sa Pletassa This place is a real gem - the gardens are beautiful, the rooms excellent and the hospitality warm and welcoming. Babs and her team do a super job running this little paradise - looking forward to returning next year.

Driving through the rather desolate countryside to get to this finca my husband and I were a little worried. When we arrived in Sa Pletassa and were warmly greeted by Babs, glasses of Cava (Spanish sparkling wine) and snacks all our fears dissolved! The finca itself is absolutely stunning! Incredibly clean. Every detail from the beautiful furniture in our room to the well kept lawns makes you quickly realize you are in a place of extremely high quality. I cannot eat gluten and must maintain a gluten-free diet and Babs and Natalie were WONDERFUL and went to great lengths to ensure I not only had something to eat but AMAZING things to eat. The food is incredible. Every morning you are greeted with fresh coffee, smoothies, fresh fruits, breads, meats, eggs- you name it- its there! You are on your own for lunch although they do have an "honor bar" where you can get snacks and drinks. When they do dinner it is wonderful, our only regret is we only had one opportunity to eat dinner at the finca. They have a garden on the premises and use their own produce as much as they can- delicious! Babs is very knowledgeable about the area and can help direct you to some good restaurants in the surrounding towns. We went to several top rated restaurants in the Lonely Planet Mallorca guide for the surrounding towns and were not disappointed. There is some very good food in surrounding areas. Also be prepared for the Germans- they are everywhere!! My husband and I left with the impression that Mallorca is the Daytona Beach of Europe- especially for Germans. The incredible throngs of humanity were overwhelming at times. When we felt we needed a little space we would retreat to our lovely little finca- Sa Pletassa. Pack in several bottles of water, a couple bottles of wine and some chocolate and you'll be set!! Ask Babs to make you a local favorite cocktail and tell you about some of the more hidden beaches and you will have a great experience.
