This place is just sublime. We felt totally at peace - the only sounds were the waves way below on the beaches, as other guests were pretty quiet and all after the same relaxing experience. Our terrace space opening out from the apartment was a perfect place to relax and have breakfast. Views are superb. The pool was colder than the sea as I don't suppose it gets much sun at this time of year, but it was pleasant to sit beside on the sun loungers with optional umbrellas and is floodlit with coloured light in the evening. The walk down to town on the paved path with steps is really quick, 10 to 15 mins. Although it's steep to come back up, I'm 6 months pregnant and it was fine for me, you just take it slowly and you're soon there. The apartment was much higher spec than we expected - very clean, well lit and comfortable with good furniture, everything you need in the kitchen and a strong shower. We loved it here!

All these sea apartments feature great sea views - 1st floor views are best as they are slightly more elevated. All rooms face south and all feature sea views. The grounds/gardens are immaculately maintained. The pool is in very good condition. Not the biggest pool, but perfectly adequate for cooling off and modest swimming. Yes, the apartments aren't as good sound insulation wise as brick built buildings, but we didn't find this to be a problem. The apartments are spacious and well equipped - bath tubs included as well as shower over this. Large balcony for each apartment equipped with table, chairs and sun umbrella if you want to deploy this. The walk down to the harbour/town area is quite steep but very well maintained under foot. Whilst we didn't walk it, I would imagine it would take about 15 minutes downhill and as long as you want coming back. Car hire is a definite advantage. There is a reasonable sized supermarket l which has most things thatyou can use at the nearby (5 minutes walking) English based Holiday Bond complex. But it's all about the sea views, isn't it? Recommended!!!

We stayed here for 2 weeks and very much enjoyed our stay. We would recommend it to friends and we would go back.
It is situated at the top of cliffs above the small unsophisticated resort town of Playa Santiago. There is a coastal walk which runs directly below the apartments and which then goes on down a steepish but quite OK path to the town. Santa Ana consists of 4 or 5 apartment blocks, each with 2 floors, all looking out to sea with an attractive pool between them and the coastal path. The grounds are private and beautifully landscaped with plants and flowers. There is excellent easy free parking in a big area just above the apartments. Our apartment, No 5, was an upper floor, at the furthest away corner from the pool, with a wonderful view, both over the town and out to the sea. I would say it was the best one.
The apartments are lovely. They are all wood, with a minimum of plastic and tastefully decorated. Ours had a bedroom, living room kitchen and bathroom (with bath and excellent shower). Running the length of the bedroom and living room was a verandah (with a roof) with a table and chairs to sit and have breakfast watching the sun rise over the sea. There was everything we could possibly have needed. On arrival there was also a complimentary bottle of water AND a complimentary bottle wine. This was such a nice touch and most appreciated.
The only downside of the place is the way sound travels from your neighbours. We had read about this in reviews beforehand and so were prepared and just accepted it. We were lucky and did not have noisy neighbours at any stage, but just ordinary sounds such as opening a bottle of wine, coughing and sneezing, general making a meal in the kitchen noises, clattering of plates etc, all could be heard. We tried very hard especially to walk quietly so as not to disturb the people below us. However we snore and I do hope that was not heard. About 5 minutes walk away is a complex called HPB (a sort of time share) which has a little supermarket. This is really useful. It has fresh bread, fruit and veg and frozen meat and fresh fish to order plus everything else.
The area is like a dessert - all cactii. The pool was too cold for us to swim although a few people did and some were swimming in the sea. There were no mosquitos.
There are several good places to eat down in the town and another couple up the hill at Alojero particularly El meson de Clemente which I think was the best
The reception at Santa Ana is open every morning and has a good supply of books about the area and novels. They organised for us a fun morning of sea fishing from the town below.
The owner is a lovely lady from South Africa who gave us excellent advice about nice walks.
Santa Ana is quite excellent value

Recently had a short holiday in La Gomera. The apartments Santa Ana situated in Las Trincheras close to Playa Santiago. Small, adult only complex with nice chalet style rooms and pool. Ideal for a restful short break with spectacular views. Ideal base for touring this beautiful island.

We have just returned to Tenerife after a week in these lovely apartments. It's was our eighth visit to Playa Santaigo but the first time we have stayed on this headland. The apartments were delightful and the views were wonderful. The pool area and the gardens are immaculate too. Good, well lit path down to the town.....most nights we got a taxi back up which was only €6. Nice walks round the coastal path nearby. Would definitely return. Only small downside is the cooking facilities, just two rings and a toaster, but apart from the it was just perfect!

We stayed here for 3 nights in November as part of an island hopping 8 night jaunt ... Tenerife La Gomera Las Palmas back to Tenerife. Santa Ana apartments were possibly the highlight of the whole thing. We don't like large resorts with unlimited fish n chips & Guinness on tap (so Los Cristianos is to be avoided at all costs) so Playa de Santiago was a delight. Some great little restaurant/bars, a couple of supermarkets, bakery; you don't need more. The town was an easy, 15 minute well-lit, well-constructed stone pathway away (18 minutes back) & obviously no good for those with limited mobility. But then, La Gomera's main attraction is the excellent walking country. Everywhere you look there are stupendous views. Not least, from the balconies/patios of the Santa Ana apartments. We had no issues whatsoever with extraneous noise ... maybe we were just lucky that our neighbours were as quiet & relaxed as we were. The nearby Holiday Property Bond complex (a huge development) has an excellent mini supermarket so you don't need to walk down to town if you don't feel like it. There are buses round the island so you can get about, although we hired a car for flexibility ... and the fact that we landed from the ferry on a Sunday & the buses weren't as frequent. We shall certainly return to both the island & the Santa Ana.

We stayed here for 5 nights. The apartment was perfect. Spacious, spotlessly clean with a well equipped kitchen. The staff were really helpful. Brilliant views out to sea.
The walk into town is fine down a well lit path, but it is a hike back up. We got a local taxi which cost 6 Euros. Would highly recommend this as a peaceful, high quality place to stay.

Spent sixteen nights here in September.
For sheer relaxation this is the place to go.
A lot of review's mentioned the noise factor because the apartments are made of wood, but we had no issue's with this.
The apartments are spotless the staff are great the hill and steps back up from the village are tough after a meal and a few drinks, but you can get a taxi. Have been to the Jardin Tecina twice but would much rather be in Santa Ana.

Visited here for 3 nights in july with my boyfriend as we had family staying in the holiday property bond down the road and we later moved to stay with them. The apartments are very peaceful and have a small private pool. They are also all wooden like a chalet which is lovely . They are basic we had no tv but were clean. Very nice view of the sea from the terrace outside room. Would highly recommend for couples and would return if visiting la gomera again

Great place. A fantastic sea view, relax, quiet and clean. Furnitures are not the newest but in this place you forget it. In the night you just hear the sound of the ocean. Apartments number 2 is beside the pool, this means you hear the pump from the swimming pool, this could disturb if you Look for pure relax. We got this apartments and after talking with the reception they proposed to switch it on later in the morning untill 17:00. This was fine for us.
I strongly reccomend this place to people who wants to disconnect and release stress.
