Born from the ambitious renovation project of one of the properties of the winery Dogliani Il Generale, Tenuta Bussia is not only a Relais surrounded by the most precious vineyards surrounding Barolo. Tenuta Bussia is a soul that grows among the rows, a regenerating embrace where every detail is conceived to offer rest, intimacy and serenity. Tenuta Bussia is a dream come true, the dream of a family closely linked to the roots of the territory, its riches and wonders. Our dream, which become yours.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed for quite a while (7 days) and couldn’t recommend this place any higher. Elanora and her team are outstanding, friendly and so accommodating. Everywhere they recommended to visit for dinner or wine was incredibly good. The rooms are on the smaller side but very comfortable and clean, and sitting by the pool with a glass of their delicious wine is highly recommended. The spa can get busy on the weekends, not surprising given how nice it is though. Francesco can give you a great walk through and tasting of the family wine if you want as well. It’s a 20 walk (dusty when dry and with some decent hills) into Barolo, and less than 10 minute drive to Barolo, Monforte d’Alba and 15 to La Morra. Highly recommended for those keen for a base to venture out into the Langhe.

Do you want to relax and enjoy every moment in a beautiful villa in the middle of Piedmont vineyards, with magnificent views all around? Tenuta Bussia is without a doubt the right choice for everyone who appreciates the highest level of comfort, friendliness and cleanliness.
We stayed there in the last week in September 2024 and enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Everything in Tenuta Bussia is thought out to the last detail, the staff is very helpful and the level of cleanliness is very high. Breakfast includes some local cold cuts, cheese, different kind of bread and a lot of sweets, even some Piedmontese hazelnuts, hazelnut cream and hazelnut cake as well. They also offer various drinks (water, juices, tea, coffee etc.) and different fruits.
We also decided to try some of their wines (Dogliani il Generale) and found out they are amazing, so we really recommend their wine tasting.
Also the SPA is wonderful, there is finnish and turkish sauna, jacuzzi and comfy deckchairs to rest.
If we had to decide again, we would definitely choose Tenuta Bussia.

We had the most tranquil and relaxing few days in Eleanora’s family hotel. The surroundings are almost as stunning as the hotel itself which has been renovated to the highest standard. The rooms maintain character features whilst being furnished incredibly beautifully. Eleanora kindly upgraded our room on arrival and we had a supremely comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and exquisite views west from our balcony towards the setting sun on the vineyards below. Breakfast is a wide range of delicious, high quality local produce. We really appreciated the fruit and drinks Eleanora leaves out for guests during the day. She worked so incredibly hard whilst we were there! And nothing was ever too much trouble. Eleanora was very helpful booking restaurants and making suggestions. Our favourite meal was at Felicin in Monforte d’Alba on the terrace - superb!
The hotel pool is peaceful and offers welcome cool from the August sun. We would heartily recommend Tenuta Bussia to anyone staying in the Barolo wine region and wish we could have stayed longer! Incidentally, Barolo itself is actually very small so it’s well worth visiting all the surrounding towns/villages e.g. Monforte d’Alba, La Morra, Serralunga.

The Tenuta is simply amazing! A tipical building, well renovated and carefully tailored in every detail. The guest attention is high and all the Staff is carefull and very pleasant. The rooms and suites are full of comfort and with a wonderful view.
The wellness area and pool are the ideal place for a moment of relax, sourrounded by the vineyards. The wines of the cellar are highly recommended, we have done the tasting tour with Eleonora and she has been simply fantastic!
Many thanks, we will be back soon!

Wonderful country Relais surrounded by vineyards at few km from the village of Barolo. Warm welcoming and great assistance from the Dogliani family, Eleonora and Francesca have been careful, professional and kind.
The rooms are finely furnished and the internal wellness area is simply gorgeous.

Probably the best Relais I've been before! The Tenuta is very beautiful, the Staff very welcoming, the suite amazing (with all the comforts and very high quality essentials, from the slippers to the tea and biscuits). The breakfast is superb, with local excellences and something international. Spa and pool are the icing on the cake. We will sure back! Thank you Eleonora, lovely girl!!

Tenuta Bussia is a wine relais in the middle of vineyards. The Tenuta is completely new, an ancient building completely renovated. The rooms have all the comforts, the beds are simply wonderful. We did a wine tour with Eleonora and it has been amazing.

On the occasion of the Cheese we returned to visit Eleonora in the new location in Bussia. Wonderful estate with breathtaking views of the natural amphitheater of the hills between Monforte d'Alba and Barolo.
Presentation and tasting of wines, with Eleonora TOP, is always a guarantee!
For the first time I tasted wine and I must admit that, with a gradual approach, it is truly a nectar of wine.
Excellent arneis from the Langhe - Dogliani - Il Generale.
Congratulations Eleonora!

We spent a weekend at the Bussia estate, a new, elegant and modern structure with attention to every detail that has managed to maintain and respect the traditional character of the cellar.
A place of absolute relaxation and well-being surrounded by nature with a breathtaking view of the Langhe vineyards.
The Spa is a real gem, as is the infinity pool.
All accompanied by Eleonora's sympathy and kindness.
We will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something unique and special!
We will definitely be back.
