Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were looking for a different winery and found Costa Di Bussia instead. Valeria greeted us outside and informed us that we were at the wrong winery, but they do tastings too. She was a wonderful hostess! Very knowledgeable and fluent in English. She also speaks Russian, French and German. All the wines we tasted Dolcetto, Barbera, Nebbiolo, and if course Barolo were fantastic. We are traveling for an extended period of time so they are holding a case of wine that we purchased and shipping it to us in November. Paolo the Owner/Wine maker came into the tasting room to visit with us as well. It has been a little over two weeks since we have been there, but it is one of my favorite wine tasting memories! I hope you enjoy there wines as much as we did!

What a beautiful place! It was well hidden but once we found it, Costa di Bussia was perfect! Great accommodations and the wi es are wonderful. The first night we arrived we were the only people at the inn. We grabbed some wine and sat out side to watch the most beautiful sunset! Frederica gave us the tour of the winery and the caves but the best part was the tasting! We stayed 3 night and really explored the area. Don't miss Josetta Saffirio Winery and Torregenda near Dogillani is a beautiful place for lunch. Barolo is a terrific wine and the Langhe area is a place you need to just get lost in!
Enjoy!

Me and my girlfriend booked one night to stay in costa di bussia, since we wanted to try some winetasting somewhere in the area. The rooms are VERY nice and clean, and for a really good price in my opinion. When we got there we had a very nice welcoming and we were even offered a wine tasting FOR FREE. Now this is not something they probably do always so do not expect this. BUT, the wine tasting was delicious and very informative during the tour. We got to try 8 different wines and one grappa. very comfortable big bed in the room, there is also a shared kitchen so if you would want to cook it is just perfect.
There is also a shared outside jacuzzi which was lovely during the evening / night time. I very much recommend this place to stay at least one night in and to have the wine tasting at this place.

While we've been enjoying Italian wines for many years, this was our first visit to Piemonte, arguably the best wine region in Italy, and certainly one of the best in the world. Within Piemonte, Barolo is king and one should not pass through without visiting at least one producer. We were lucky enough to have visited Costa do Bussia, where Erica gave us a real appreciation of the region, wine production, and the wines themselves. We started the tour with a short walk into the vineyard so us which plots yield which grapes and why each is special. This was followed by a tour of the production facility and aging cellars with a particular emphasis on what is done differently for each of the different wines. Of course, no visit would be complete without tasting, and we were able to taste and compare a broad range of wines, including several Barolos and even a Grappa to finish. Like most (all?) Barolo wineries, this one is family owned with a long and fascinating history - all the more interesting because of the artifacts and documents that are now housed in the winery's museum. A bit of a drive to reach , but certainly worthwhile.

Went there in may without reservation. Recommended by the tourist office in Monforte. A fluent english speaking woman took a tour with us and explained and showed us the barrels etc. Tasted 6 different wines for 10 euros. Bought some bottles, reasonable prices.
