This was the most magical accomodation we’ve ever stayed at! Coconut Beach Resort is well worth the trip on the ferry. We loved seeing sunrise and sunset from the same island - what a unique experience. There are only a small number of bures here and so it’s like you have your own private beach. There are a wide variety of reasonably priced activities running everyday and a number of free of charge ones. We made great use of the complimentary snorkelling gear and stand-up paddle boards. The coral and fish around Tavewa island are stunning and the guides are very informative. The staff at this resort went above and beyond for us and we were blessed several times a day by their idyllic singing. The food was also great and we loved having a delicious set menu picked out for us everyday. Complimentary yoga with Mela in the mornings was a great way to start our days! WE WILL BE VISITING AGAIN!

Hotel's Favourite
Cannot fault this resort. The entire expereince and service is 10/10. Staff are wonderful, friendly, helpful people. The food is amazing!!! Our favourite was the pumpkin soup and breakfast pancakes. Our room and bathroom was spacious, comfortable, very clean and the bed made/room tidied every day. The use of Kayaks/SUP are free and you can take them out onto the gorgeous water at the front of the resort anytime you want. We went for a sunrise Kayak and it was so peaceful. You don't have to think about a single thing when you stay at CBR as the team have everything sorted for you. Each day, a list of activities is written onto a board so you can book in for any activities you want to particiapte in. We went snorkelling at some gorgeous spots around the Yasawa Islands, visited the caves, walked to the top of Tavewa Island and visited another island village to meet the locals. The hardest choice you'll have to make when staying at CBR is deciding which cocktail to have at happy hour! :D. What makes this resort so unique is the little touches that they add such as staff knowing everyones name who is staying at the resort, coconuts on arrival, beautiful singing every day including anytime someone arrives/leaves the resort and my birthday was made very special. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back! Eimer and Eoin x

We kinda of enjoyed our stay at Coconut beach, due to the poor weather. Not sure I would ever go back to Fiji in the wet season. However, The highlight was their food, which was excellent, especially the dinners. We also thought their diving program run by Fostyn and Mike was quite good, as they were very accommodating compared to Blue Lagoons dive shop. They offered kayaks and paddle boards as well and the staff were all very friendly We found the rooms comfortable but were surprised w the lack of AC, especially considering how hot it can get there. We enjoyed snorkelling on the reef out front which was excellent We were provided a beach view burre #8 but for some reason they have plants right in front of the view of the beach that blocks the view. Outdoor bathroom w shower was nice but again very hot w/o AC which was provided at Oarsmen Bay.

Bula Chris and thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent stay with us. We're glad you kind of enjoyed your stay with us in spite of the bad weather. March does fall in the rainy season but we normally enjoy sunshine and showers in the Yasawas, with most of the rain falling at night. This year, we had rain during the day too which wasn't what we'd asked for! We're glad you enjoyed the food - we have a marvellous team of talented chefs who create the most delicious menus for our guests. Thank you for your kind words about our diving operation. Coconut Beach Resort is a PADI accredited dive centre and we offer an exclusive diving experience for our guests only. This means we can offer our guests the best personal diving experience at their own pace, to fit in with other activities they wish to do. Our villas are cooled by highly efficient ceiling fans which are normally sufficient since we also enjoy the benefits of cooling ocean breezes - nature's own air conditioning. We are always happy to provide extra fans for the rooms upon request. We're very happy to hear you enjoyed snorkelling in our marine reserve (our house reef) the corals are stunning and there's an amazing variety of marine life to see. Vinaka and sending best wishes to you both from the Coconut Beach Team!

Third time lucky at this amazing island. The closest to being on a deserted island you can get. The CBR team are beautiful and joyful, nothing is a problem when it comes to being helpful. If you want to have a true experience (no tv, little internet) and honestly walk the beach and snorkel the reef from the beach edge with near no one around this is the ideal island. Sheung, Terri, Phillip and all the Fiji hosts make every day relaxed. Borrow a book from the library, or a game. Do yoga in the morning, go for a snorkel on the most incredible reefs, go on a fish feeding adventure, go fishing, or just for a walk and spend the day on a hammock by the beach. (The best Fijian pool there is 😂) It’s like a family holiday with the Fijian cousins you never knew you had 😂. Ps if you can take the helicopter as this saves so much time!

Coconut Beach was unlike any experience I have ever had before. The staff there (Phillip, Betta, Massey, Apy, Josh, Sulu, Vata, Ben...too many to mention, honestly), they were ALL incredible. They will forever live in my hearts. The rooms were perfect; only an iguana here and there, NO BUGS at all, which seemed crazy to me since the idyllic showers and bathrooms were indoor/outdoor. Every morning, Casa was there to instruct yoga on the beach which was a spectacular way to start the day. There was such a place of calm there; everyone genuinely seems to enjoy their jobs and people. I got my Open water dives done with Faustine and she was AMAZING. She made me feel super safe and really stressed the importance of safety. She and Mike clearly love diving and it shows in the dives. Their passion makes you excited! The grounds were beautiful. The drinks were delicious. The food, was outstanding! Service was impeccable. I would give Coconut Beach Resort a 15/10 if I could. I found joy there. I will always be grateful for that. Vinadoo Riki, much love to you all.

Bula Stacey and thank you so much for taking the time to write such a glowing review about your recent stay with us. We are thrilled to hear that your stay at Coconut Beach was the Best Trip Of Your Life! Wow, that's praise indeed for our incredible team who helped make your stay so happy and memorable :) We do what we can to keep the bugs at bay, and mosquito repellant is freely available throughout the main facility. We're pleased you enjoyed the sunrise yoga every morning - a wonderful way to start your day. And we're delighted you got your PADI Open Water certification during your stay. You were a star student and it gives us the greatest pleasure that you got certified by the amazing Faustine at Coconut Beach - the start of your diving adventures began here! Thank you for your kind words about our beautiful grounds, the delicious drinks, the outstanding food and the impeccable service. And thank you most of all for telling us you found joy here. It swells our hearts and brings a little lump to our throats because that's exactly what we aim to do. Bring joy. Thank you again for your lovely review. Your Coconut Beach Family send you love and best wishes, and we hope to see you again soon. Vinaka!

When booking online, sometimes you can never be sure if you've chosen the best place for your trip. Let me assure you, if you choose Coconut Beach Resort, you will have an outstanding experience. First, the CBR team is incredible -- kind and generous of spirit. The resort beach is a snorkeler's paradise, with a coral reef right off the beach. The Bure's are clean, modern (love the luxe outdoor bathrooms), and the quality of the food was better than I've ever experienced at an all-inclusive. CBR has two highly skilled diving instructors that exclusively work with the resort guests, so it was extra convenient for our group. I'm going back (is next month too soon?).

Staying at this resort felt like one of those "pinch me" moments in our lives. There is absolutely nothing not to love - the setting, the rooms, the activities, the staff, the entertainment and the food. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt welcomed from the second we set foot on the island. The scuba-diving is incredible - a fully PADI accredited centre - my daughter at the beginning of her diving journey was taken out by the incredible Faustine who truly is a treasure of knowledge, patience and experience. The snorkelling is incredible - either off the beach or to various locations close by - a must is the fish-feeding in Blue Lagoon. We walked directly out from our beachfront villa to hammocks in an idealic setting then on to the beach for a swim. Our evenings were filled with music, singing, chatting to the other guests and even a kava ceremony. A special thank you to Sheung, Vata, Philip and all the staff for making our stay incredibly special, we were sad to leave but look forward to returning.

Where do I start??!!! This place is simply incredible!! So first of all I booked a really (very) nice hotel resort on the mainland for me and my wife. But then I worried I wouldn't get the Fiji experience we were looking for. So then I found Coconut Beach Resort (CBR) - and I am so so glad I did and that we switched to going to CBR. My dealings initially were through Sheung (who jointly owns CBR) with Alex. Sheung was helpful at every single stage and even organised our helicopter transfer with Island Hoppers which was so easy and such a great experience too. When we arrived by helicopter onto the beach at CBR we were greeted by lots of staff welcoming us with singing and smiles. Our bags were taken to our room. We were checked in so personally with a coconut drink in our hands. Then taken to our bungalow - which was amazing. There were only 8 other guests on the island with us. I highly recommend the helicopter as it's only a 30 minute transfer and is an amazing experience. The food was amazing - with incredible views from where we sat a few feet from the beach. Staff sing at every meal. The coconut lined tree soft sand beach is wonderful and the gentle sea was like a bath. The gardens are immaculate. Whilst there I took the opportunity to do some scuba diving as CBR has its own PADI dive centre which is exclusively for the handful of guests. This is a real luxury! So the dives are super personal with either a couple of other guests or just with the dive guide and they are all within around 10 minutes from CBR by boat from the beach. The diving here is incredible with great reefs, fantastic marine life, and lots of sharks. The dive equipment was really high quality (Apeks regulators, Suunto dive computers, great BCD's) and the dive masters, a married couple called Mike and Faustine, were incredible. They were super knowledgeable, helpful, happy to do whatever gives you the best experience - and they helped me back into diving after I'd had a break from it. Mike and Faustine were super sociable and we had fun with them and will miss them, but hope to dive with them when we are back. Finally, the thing that makes this place is the staff. They are absolutely AMAZING. So caring, kind, lovely and beautiful people. Always happy, always with a smile and sense of fun. They entertained us with so many things (crab races, coconut tree climbing, bracelet making, visits to sea caves, visits to a local school on a neighbouring island - a great experience!!!). Anything we wanted they organised. We will miss them so much, (Betta, Terri, Manu, Api, Vata, Abu, Phillip, Mike, Faustine, Alex, and so many others). This is truly a boutique special experience. We loved our 5 days and are sad to have left but we will be back!!!! Do yourself a favour and go to this place if you are serious about experiencing Fiji at its best. Thank you so much Coconut Beach Resort.

Greeted by massive smiles, we stepped off the Yasawa Flier onto the resort boat and were powered by the Yamaha engine towards a picture-perfect postcard view of a tropical island complete with beaches, palm trees interspersed with thicker foliage, and a towering peak. We headed towards a line of white sand and could see a group ready to meet us. As our feet touched the warm water and smooth sand the group burst into song and we were met with refreshments before being casually escorted to a table in the beautifully ornate wooden resort building for a fresh and satisfying meal. After eating we were shown to our bure (room/lodge) where our luggage had already been placed. The bure included a very comfortable, large double bed and two single beds for our 11yo and 10yo. The room had ceiling fans, and good lights, and was finished with local Fijian furnishings making us feel, not just at home, but on holiday. We were looking for a holiday that had activities as well as a chance to relax and this resort provided for both those needs. Each day there were different optional day time and evening activities; some were at modest additional costs and some were free. During our visit, as a family we did the following day time activities: -Walk to the peak. The resort provided bug spray, and this was a must through the jungle section -Feeding the fishes (snorkeling and boat trip) -Snorkeling in the caves (boat trip) -School visit (our children joined in playing football and rugby during the kids' break time). This was a real highlight for us. -Village visit -Church visit -Snorkeling in the reef just by the resort The night time activities were just as much fun: -Traditional Kava ceremony -Crab racing - back your hermit crab to raise money for the local village school where many of the staff's children attend -Quiz night - battle of the sexes -A very informative and fun lecture about the different fish that live in the waters of the Yasawas and the work done at the resort to promote coral reef growth, presented by the resort's dive instructor -Traditional Fijian song and dance night (we all got involved) Additionally as the resort is a registered PADI dive centre, our children had the opportunity to do a Discover Scuba dive course and my wife was able to go out with qualified staff for an underwater adventure amongst the reefs. The meals were always fresh and tasty. Breakfast options included fruit platter, cereals, choice of eggs, with coffee, tea or a variety of juices. Lunches and evening meals were set menus and the optional activities were planned so you would always be on time for them. We found the meals to be delicious, but the staff were always happy to make tweaks depending on the more discerning tastes of our younger family members. Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-Free options were also available if required. Oh and a firm family favourite was the afternoon tea of coffee/tea and home-made cakes, served from around 3pm . During the trip, it was highlighted to us the importance of song in Fijian culture and every meal was accompanied by a stunning a cappella choir by the resort staff. Whilst we were a family group, and the holiday catered for all our needs, there was an eclectic mix of groups with younger and older children, younger and older couples, and many people who were returning having visited several times previously. During our stay we read books, we watched the Fijian rugby team play in the World Cup, we met the wonderful people that run the resort, particularly Sheung, Terry, Phillip and Vata who could not have done any more to make us feel more a part of the family. More than anywhere else we have stayed we met other holiday-makers as the resort developed a sense of community. We watched the sun rise and set and when the holiday came to an end and the final hymn was sung it was an emotional goodbye to this Tropical Fijian Paradise.
