#1 of 11 Speciality lodging in Serravalle Pistoiese
Borgo Casalvento stands on the top of a hill at an altitude of about 350 metres, plunged into a natural landscape and surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, where winds blowing both from sea and from mountains caress and relax guest's resort. A park of over 3,000 square metres is available for you. There you can find two swimming pools (a children's one) and a jacuzzi area plunged into the typical Tuscan vegetation. Borgo Casalvento is composed by 6 apartments ably renovated following Tuscan tradition, with wooden roof beams, handmade terracotta-tiled floor and the inevitable fireplace, all to combine past sensations and modern comforts.

Just returning home after a really relaxing week at Borgo Calvasento! What a relaxing borgo with a nice garden, swimming pool and jacuzzi. Really a place to relax but also a good starting point for trips to Lucca Florence etc.

We stayed this year for the second time in the Borgo and had, again, a great time! The house has all the necessities like a good kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine, but has also the authentic Tuscan look and feel. The beautiful garden is well taken care of and offers a playground for the little ones, two pools, a jacuzzi and lots of space to relax between the olive trees. Pistoia (really nice Toscan city) is nearby, the beach approx. 1 hour. Barbara is a really delightful hostess who makes you really feel welcome and at home.

We had a very nice stay at Borgo Casalvento. We had some trouble finding it because we entered the wrong address on our GPS, but Barbara was very nice and sent two friends to come find us so we could follow them to the hotel. BIG thank you for that! The apartment was perfect for our family, two girls ages 4 and 7. They enjoyed running around the very nice yard, sitting by the pool and playing on the hammocks while mom and dad were able to sit in the nice patio lounging chairs and enjoy the sun. It also very centrally located, so we were able to drive to Florence two different days and Lucca for an afternoon and and also have some downtime just relaxing. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

The trip to Borgo Casalvento was our first experience of Agriturismo and it was brilliant. My wife and I along with our two children had a superb time, we used the apartment as our base to visit some of the surrounding cities (Apartment doesn’t do it justice, it is more of a house set out over 2 floors with kitchen, living area, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with a lovely outside terrace with dining table and chairs). The children 4 and 2 loved the swings, playhouse, seesaw and slides and used the facilities daily. It was a little too cold in late October to use the pools but they looked excellent, adult pool a good size if you want to swim and children’s pool separate from the main pool. Football goals to run around and burn off some of the delightful food Italy has to offer, everything you need all in one place to keep the whole family entertained. We ventured to Lucca, Pisa, Florence and Siena for day trips, all within 1hr 20 min drive of the accommodation. The staff are excellent, friendly and make you feel right at home. Do use the fresh bread delivery, cakes and sweet treats, great with a morning cup of coffee. If we venture back to this part of Italy again we will be sure to stay at Borgo Casalvento and it has certainly sold Agriturismo to a family who used to stay in villas with a private pool. Not anymore

Very nice Agriturismo. Large, spacious, fully equipped apartments in Typical Tuscan style. The staff is very helpful, fresh bread every morning and the spacious garden is completely fenced and therefore very childfriendly. Nevertheless also for people without kids its a very pleasant and quite place ;-) Good location for a peaceful and quite Holiday, but still in the neighbourhood of typical Italian medieval cities like Pistoia, Lucca. Vinci and Florence. Also the beach is close enough for a daytrip (about 1 hour drive). Although the asphalted road until the parking place is very convenient for cyclist, if your apartment is on the east side, you can sometimes hear the cars passing by when sitting on your private garden terasse.
