Clean, comfortable, silent room Super spa and outdoor swimming pool Nice welcome Average restaurant but very good wine list Easy to go to ski but it takes time (bus or car, cableway ...) Probably is better in spring/ summer to start nice walking/ hiking just back of the hotel
My wife and I stayed at the hotel in July 2017 and enjoyed every aspect so much we returned again this month. Every aspect of our trip was fabulous, and each day started with wonderful breakfast, with all the home made ingredients. We developed a relationship with the fresh orange juice machine, the yogurts, the fresh fruit and the gorgeous bread not to mention the lovely coffee. After every day of visiting the South Tyrol it was so good to come back to the comfortable room, the balcony with its view across the valley, or sit by the pool. Then to relax with a beer or two before an evening meal, which was always delicious. The staff were as welcoming as on our last visit and, as always, attentive to detail, friendly, helpful and a credit to the hotel. Let’s not forget the housekeeping staff who also looked after the spacious, well appointed bedroom so well. And then of course there is Berlusconi, who was, well, like a cat!! This is a lovely place to stay for the Siusi attractions of walking or skiing and we could not recommend it more highly for comfort and being made to feel at home.…
This hotel has some very nice attributes but unfortunately we were placed in probably the worst location in the building. Be careful that you do not end up in a tiny room with a view of the parking lot. Ask before. Otherwise, we loved: the view of the mountains, the restaurant, the incredible natural honey at breakfast!, the staff in the restaurant (very friendly), the spa facilities.
The hotel is located nicely with two different views (countryside and very hig mountains) on two sides, but also with quite a busy road on one side. You will not see the road in photos when booking. True, with closed windows there is no noise at night - but sometimes you want to open the window. The restaurant and terrace are pretty and the service is marvellous, so is the cooking. There is also a nice lobby with a fireplace. The biggest bonus is the swimming pool. Our room on the front side was probably one of the non-renovated ones, it was small and kind of 1970s style. All rooms on website look much better. And ours was a regular double room, nothing especially inexpensive.
On arriving the reception area gave the right feel, and when greeted the welcome was friendly. The bedroom was just great, large and with a balcony with a view over the expansive green valley to the hills behind which the sun was setting. The wardrobes had lots of hangers, the bathroom lots of space, the beds were comfortable, as was the sofa and the chairs on the balcony. This was excellent. The views to the rear, over the swimming pool, up to the woods and the peaks of the Dolomites did not disappoint. Down to the bar with its draft beer and large selection of wines with really friendly staff. You could sit outside or take a table in one of the many dining rooms. This was clearly a great choice of place to stay. Nothing was too much trouble for the team, whether Housekeeping or the Catering brigade. Breakfast is extensive and the dinner menu quite wide. We stayed 10 nights and thought this was a great destination. Berlusconi, the hotel cat, was also very accommodating. There is music on Friday night, and random buffets which are also very good. Basically if you are going to stay in this part of the Dolomites there is no reason to look elsewhere as Ulrike's team deliver a fantastic offer with a very high level of comfort.…
