Hotel's Favourite
It is a good airport hotel. Rooms are small, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice, but if you don't go early, they run out of a few things and they don't keep replenishing it. There was no porter service really. And from the airport you need to either take the hotel shuttle (around €13 per room or something like that) or taxi. For taking the train to the city you have to go to the airport and then take the train.

+1
I stayed here during an overnight transit through MXP airport and it was a convenient hotel for the proximity.
A quick shuttle ride from the airport (shuttle not signposted well, if at all) meant I was at the hotel in 5-10 minutes for €4 each way. The staff checked me into a room on the 1st floor (#135) and the room was sufficient for a night to stay.
The room was a little tired but it was comfortable and clean, albeit a little small. The air conditioning was not working well at all which meant opening the window to its maximum 6 inches and let some cool air in. As it was winter, it didn't take long for the -5 cold air to come through.
The hotel has one restaurant and a bar on the ground floor, but the bar was completely empty, including staff, so I had to find someone to serve me a drink.
The hotel is fine for a night before a flight the next day, but I would say it's not up to the usual Crowne Plaza standards. The other IHG hotel en-route, the Holiday Inn Express, appeared to be far bigger and more popular.
**************************
The airport shuttle bus from Malpensa Airport (MXP) to the airport hotel (Crowne Plaza and Holiday Inn Express) was difficult to find so I've included it with my images.
When you exit security (Terminal 1), turn right and exit the airport at the far door. The shuttle buses pull up just on the left as you exit the terminal and have a sign in the window for the hotel.

Decent Airport hotel which you can easily access the downtown via the Metro.
Clean, well appointed with nice staff.
They do offer a shuttle to MXP but its on par with the price of a taxi at 15 euros and was jammed to the gulls for the 5 minute ride to Milan Malpensa (MXP)

Just checked in, and my first impression was to come to a Hostel instead of a reputable 4 star hotel.
I am a IHG Spire member, means I do stay at IHG hotels, mainly Crowne Plaza, a considerable number of nights every year, for many years already.
Front office attitude wasn’t up to the level of the Brand, no recognition of my status and no upgrade, as they said, no executive rooms available, although the hotel looked empty, and IHG webpage showing availability....maybe tomorrow, they said.
I was recently 2 times, at the nearby Holiday Inn Express, where attitude, service, new and well appointed rooms , not to mention, complimentary breakfast, closer to airport and to restaurants , by comparison gives this Crowne Plaza no more than a falling star.
I regret not to stay there again, as I prepaid my stay of 2 nights, and cannot change now.
Regarding my room, as in many previous reviews, old and tired.
No any amenities, you have a bed and an old tv.
The floor is upping, even dangerous, can cut your feet.
No slippers provided, have to walk barefoot.
Comparing to previous reviews mentioning scale, bathrobe, my room nothing at all.
And don’t use Covid as an excuse, I was 10 days ago at Indigo Monforte Milan, everything was there.
The front office even asked me if really needed my room to be serviced and cleaned.
This hotel is a shame to IHG and Crowne Plaza brand.

As I had with Crown Plaza a very positive experience in Singapore I booked a King Executive Room at the Crown Plaza Malpensa.
Having arrived by a transfer service for a fee (no free shuttle is available) I met a dead hotel. Everything (except reception) is closed, there were hardly any guests. For lunch and dinner I had to go to a close restaurant located in an other hotel (Cervo). Due to Covid the hotel restaurant as well as the fitness and Spa Area were closed. What I cannot understand is that they took away from the room the tea and coffee facilities as well there was no water bottle (as mentioned in Executive description). I had to ask for a glass in order to take tap water. If you are staying longer than 5 nights, they will not clean your room for 5 nights!
Just 4 nights before I was staying at the Sheraton Malpensa. There hardly every service was available, for sure with a safety concept, far more better!

Responded 12 Sept 2020
Hi 861brunof, Thank you for staying with us and for leaving a review. We strive to make your business travel work, it is a disappointing setback that you find our services not on par with the brand. Due to the mandates in place for the prevention of the COVID-19, most our services were restricted and we are unable to serve our usual Full Service Breakfast that our guests know and love. I am sorry for any inconvenience caused. I have taken note of your valuable comments about our limited services and our local team has been alerted about how this has affected your impression and stay. I know that they appreciate you sharing your experience and trust that they will take appropriate steps to enhance our services. We always challenge ourselves to be better and look forward to having the opportunity to restore your confidence. Warm Regards, Alice P Case Manager IHGService

They call this an airport motel. When you stay at an airport motel, you have either just had a long trip, or you’re about to have a long trip. In either case, most people really want a decent shower. You won’t get one here. You have to run around to get wet and it will be be luke warm water. We have three rooms on this trip and all showers are the same.
When you need to get to the airport, a four minute drive away, they charge 15 Euros per room. We have three rooms for 4 people and it’s going to cost 45 Euros (about $80 Australian dollars) for a 4 minute drive provided by the airport motel.
I would avoid this place if possible.

We arrived and the front desk staff was rude, short and not helpful. We had transportation questions about getting into the city and they recommended a taxi for 100.00 and failed to mention the shuttle a short walk from the hotel that went to the terminal train station.
The safe did not work.
Ice bucket was dirty, so were the glasses
Single bottle of water was provided for 2 guests. Hard to complain about a free water but, come on.
Overall hotel was in subpar condition and in a crummy area.
Would not stay there again.

The hotel was generally very good for the price. The breakfast buffet was also really nice. The only problem was that even though the hotel is near the airport it is difficult to travel here on foot. We paid 20 euros for a two kilometer taxi ride to the hotel which we though found out offered transport to the airport for 15 euros. Still a lot of money for this short way. We ended up walking to the airport the next day although it was not optimal.

The hotel is very convenient to the airport. I would see no reason to stay here otherwise. The shuttle bus is convenient, we just called upon arrival and they were there within 15 minutes (however you will need to make sure you have phone reception…). The bed was comfy, room was overall fine but bath/shower combo was tiny.

The hotel is located very close to the P6 parking. It's a normal hotel, very convenient if you have an early flight from Malpensa. Room was clean and very quiet. The restaurant is not good and doesn't offer almost anything for people who has a lactose intolerance like me.

Breakfast is usually very early but depending on your flight it may be advisable to have breakfast at the airport.
There is a bus from airport to Milan. But, although close walking distance to hotel, one needs to take shuttle bus from airport to hotel which is down side.
