Siesta is a cozy budget hotel, set in a hillside cluster of whitewashed properties. It's an 8-minute walk to Grand Anse Beach, and about 4 miles from the airport. Featuring balconies or patios, the unpretentious, air-conditioned rooms and apartments come with satellite TV, Wi-Fi, and minifridges, as well as safes. The 1- and 2-bedroom apartments have kitchens, and living rooms with pull-out sofas.
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.

Siesta Hotel is often described as a cozy retreat with a simple atmosphere, where guests can enjoy the comfort of clean rooms and friendly, efficient service. While the decor may be considered dated by some, the prime location is a highlight, providing easy access to nearby beaches, shops, and dining options.
The climb to the rooms can be a bit strenuous, but the overall cleanliness and convenient amenities generally leave guests feeling they've received fair value for their stay.

Loved the location; it is walking distance to both Grand Anse and Morne Rouge beaches, multiple restaurants, and grocers. There is security on site 24/7 so we had no concerns with car break ins or personal safety. All staff members were extremely friendly & helpful. The on-site restaurant opens at 7:00 am for breakfast and we thoroughly enjoyed their omelets. Nice pool that was never busy or crowded. Beautiful grounds with lush vegetation that made it feel intimate and private. Adequate hot water for showers and useful in-room fridge. Hotel was willing to store our luggage so we could explore the island the day of check-in. For expectation management, we booked ocean view rooms but they are actually ocean-facing with no view of the water. As a disclaimer, we were on the first floor so it's possible the third floor has actual water views. The on-site restaurant does not serve alcohol so you must supply your own if you're wanting a night capper or a beer by the pool. The in-room coffee / sugar isn't automatically restocked so make sure you request extra upon arrival if you're the type of person that needs 2 cups to get your day started. Again, staff is more than willing to accommodate the requests. We arranged for a rental car through the hotel. It was ~1 hour late arriving and we were charged $75/day while initial quote was $55. Not the fault of the hotel staff as they just do the 'connecting' between traveler and rental car service but mentioning to make other travelers aware. We would stay again.

We're delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay and appreciated our location, security, staff, and amenities. We apologize for the discrepancies with the room views and the rental car situation. You are correct in that the rooms on the first floor do not have ocean views. The higher up the room, the better the view. Since we are located on a hill, guests will have to walk uphill as well as climb stairs. Thank you for pointing that we do not serve alcohol. Guests should be aware that while we don’t serve alcohol, we do serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages and local fruit juices. Guests are welcome to bring their own drinks to our restaurant. We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. Your feedback is really valuable, and we appreciate your understanding. Thank you for being so supportive and we hope to see you again soon!

I echo many of the other reviews. It's a basic 3 star hotel with outstanding service. Truly outstanding service. The response to every question/request is "yes". They provide great recommendations for excursions, snorkeling/diving, restaurants, and taxis. They work with these partners, so they know the quality is high. Communication between staff members if fantastic - if you speak to a someone at reception at night, the person in the morning has already addressed the request. Great location - easy walking distance to Grand Anse beach, supermarket, restaurants, and the bus. I really enjoyed my stay.

June 2022. Nine (9) pics attached. I stayed at the Siesta Hotel for one night when SVG Air cancelled my afternoon flight from Grenada to Carriacou, requiring me to find a last minute accommodation in Grenada until I was able to fly to Carriacou the next morning. I arrived at the airport and easily got a $15 US taxi to the Siesta. Was greeted with a fruit juice at the front desk at check in. Reservation was made online, cash or credit card payment was required at check in. Room 21 on the third floor on the back side of the hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, lots of good pillows, safe in the room, all of the amenities you would expect, compact kitchenette area with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Iron, hair dryer, electricity converter, AC, full length mirror. Sliding glass door to balcony with view of the hillside (a dog howled in the hills during the night). There were rooms on ground floor with direct view/access to pool, but the rooms in the back were more private. The property was quiet, largely empty, seemed to only be a handful of guests. Excellent location in quick walking distance to KFC, a roti cafe, the Spiceland Mall with food court with poke bowls and frozen yogurt and IGA grocery store, taxi stand at the mall with well posted rates. Easy walking distance to the beach and Umbrellas Restaurant. Grounds were well kept, night watchman patrolled the property, well lit, felt safe.

We stayed at the Siesta Hotel for a week at the end of February 2024. After checking in we were shown into our 1 bedroom apartment #30. I immediately asked about the lack of a television in the living room. I was told it was in the bedroom. (If you wanted to watch TV you had to lie in bed which is less than ideal.). The apartment was spacious enough and had a king size bed.
After unpacking we began to notice some shortcomings of the apartment: 1. There were no stoppers in either sink. (It’s tough to wash dishes without water retention in the sink and quite a waste of water as well.) 2. The ceiling fan in the living room would not work. 3. A light bulb in the bathroom was burnt out. 4. The air conditioner (bedroom only) was hopelessly inadequate in terms of cooling the apartment. (The staff are diligent though in turning off that air conditioner when they are finished their daily housekeeping.) 5 The apartment was very short of cutlery, cooking utensils and dish ware. 6. The safe was not operational. (I assume because a previous tenant took the key?)
We complained about most of those things to the very friendly staff. Maintenance at the hotel was quick with the light bulb but nothing else was apparently fixable. I asked the maintenance guy how long the ceiling fan had been out of service and only got a shrug as a response. I think theses issues had been around for a while.
The location of the hotel is adequate and the view is nice. The pool looked good and the staff is friendly, but really they need to fix some of the physical issues. I felt the rate we were paying demanded a much better overall accommodation and experience.

Room 38 upgrade on 1st night due to booked room being extended for other people who had the room booked before me.
Room 29 the room I apparently booked but I was not told this when I booked the room. Room 29 should be condemned. Broken very smelly fridge. Blocked sink, smelly for two hours after using. Bath feels like it will collapse when standing in shower.. Bathroom door does not close. No air conditioning. Mosquitos.
On the 3rd night in Room 29 there was a leak above the bed from the roof. After complaining I was moved to Room 8 for 1 night. After speaking with reception due to the problems in Room 29, I was given the option to move to Room 38 at the rate of the student room. Room 38 is pn the new wing which is on a extremely steep hill and stairs which is not suitable fir me either. Fortunately a relative in Room 5 was able to swop with me so they took Room 38 and I moved into Room 5.
Room 5. There was a problem with cold xhowers. I was only able to have 1 hot shower in the 6 nights I stayed in this room. Towels and bath mats removed but not replaced.
The occupant in Room 8 above regularly scraped the furniture across the floor which was irritating. There is no sound insulation
Lack of Maintenance - lack of hot water. Only 3 hot showers in 12 days.
I don't think it's an excuse to say that rooms 25 -29 are student rooms when complaining about these rooms There should still be aacceptable standard and the many problems I had in the room are not acceptable. I was given a very small discount but would have preferred a decent room that didn't impact on my holiday and memories of Grenada.
Siesta need to check their rooms properly before letting them out to holiday makers. This way complaints would be minimised and someone's holiday would not be ruined.
Siesta seem concerned about minor details like making the bed. This is not important compared to a hot shower or having to walk up a very steep hill.
I do hope all rooms are checked even the student rooms before putting people in them.
A golf buggy would be appropriate to get people to the new wing as its so steep.

While we appreciate feedback, we must take issue when a guest makes inaccurate and unfair accusations, which happens to be the case this time. For the record, you were part of a group, and were not staying in all four rooms by yourself. You were not moved around to all four rooms. Our studio rooms are for students and for long-term guests. After having viewed it, you not only accepted the studio, but you insisted on staying there. Your group wanted to extend the stay. Since there was no space, and since you booked late, based on your requests, we had no choice, but to give you a room at the top that was not quite ready. Thank you for pointing that out about our hilltop ocean-view rooms. Yes, since those rooms are on a hill, they are not suitable for guests with limited mobility. You were all thoroughly pampered and well-taken care of by our valued staff who have said that they were treated quite poorly by certain members of your group. You were given a complimentary room for your cooking needs. Not only that, but also complimentary breakfasts throughout. You also had a personal concierge to facilitate everyone and to help make everything easier during your stay. We did everything to accommodate you and to help ensure that your stay would be a good one. It is unfortunate that many of your issues were never brought to our attention during your stay, even though we checked up on you daily. At no point in time were there any complaints about hot water, neither from you nor from anyone in your group. For future guests: If something is wrong, please tell us about it while you’re here. Our job is to make your stay better. We are here to make things right. If we cannot fix something, then we will tell you that we tried our best but could not. And if that happens, we give you the option to leave. We don’t want to make anyone unhappy. If we cannot offer you the accommodations that you are looking for, then you have the right to find another hotel. In fact, we will help you find somewhere else that will live up to your standard. That’s the kind of people we are – simple, easy-going, and low-maintenance. We want our guests to be the same.

The staff were attentive and the hotel was in a prime location close to amenities such as a mall, supermarket, the beach, restaurants and public transportation.
Our one week stay was excellent. The only downside is that some items were missing from the breakfast menu on a daily basis, However there were always other items to choose from.
The room was made up as a fully functioning apartment, which made it feel like a home away from home. We had a lovely king-size bed which was more comfortable than the one we had at home!
We only stayed here because of the unavailability of our usual hotel, however this has now taken over as our hotel of choice, and we would definitely stay here again as it was good value for money.

My expectations were exceeded at the Siesta Hotel. My husband and I came here for almost two weeks for our honeymoon. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us and carried our luggage. Checking in was very easy and the staff was so accommodating. Everyone was very friendly and helpful the entire time. The hotel has security, daily room service, a breakfast and lunch restaurant, and the front desk can help you make excursion arrangements.
The hotel is a short and easy walk to some beautiful beaches, bus stop, Spiceland mall, some restaurants, and the spice and craft market. There are no sidewalks for a few minutes of the walk, but many people walk along the road at all times of day so we felt very safe. The mall has a grocery store which is nice because our room had a small kitchen that we used for many meals and prepping picnic food. The mall also has a bank, food, pharmacy, gift shops, etc.
The balcony view is beautiful with a refreshing breeze. The AC units worked so well in the two room apartment. The closets have a lot of space and hangers, and the bathrooms are spacious and clean. The shower always had lots of hot water and good water pressure.
We enjoyed walking from the hotel to Grand Anse beach, Magazin beach, and near the hotel is the artificial reef project that you can dive/snorkel around.
The room had a TV with cable, but we didn't use it. WIFI was always strong and the food at the hotel restaurant is very good. Also they have a lovely pool that is nice to lay next to.
We came in November so it was a little rainy and humid at times, but also very lush and green. It is not that buggy, but there are small mosquitos as expected so bring bug spray. Each room has a security safe as well.

Siesta Hotel is a wonderful place to stay, made extra special due to its sweet, friendly and helpful staff. The simple rooms are spotlessly cleaned. The gardens are gorgeous and tended with great care. We appreciated having a fridge and kettle so we could self cater our breakfasts and eat on our spacious balcony with beautiful views. The beach is a short walk and is sensational. Various resorts have beach chairs available for a fee. The pool at Siesta is clean and inviting with towels provided. As others have mentioned, the only drawback for us was the breakfast buffet. We found it to be not for us and were expecting to be offered more choice from a menu but I understand they are working on restoring the restaurant which they understandably had to pivot from during Covid. For a relaxing, restorative vacation, we highly recommend this gem of a place where you are treated to a wave and a smile by everyone there. Thank you Siesta.

After our host's cancellation on Airbnb, we chose to invest more money in accommodation and not have any more unpleasant surprises.
It was a big win-win! The hotel is extremely well located and the staff are great. The rooms are perfectly clean and the staff are very attentive. We loved the breakfasts.
We'll definitely be back on our next trip to Grenada.

My wife assures me there re rooms that can accommodate 3 persons, having used such rooms herself in the past. The local buses pass reasonably close by but it would be a trek with heavy suitcases. I would advise a taxi.
I have never eaten at the hotel as I use it for overnight stays en route to Carriacou only.
Walking to the beach is an easy flat walk from the Hotel and most people would have no problem being physically able to do this. If I had concerns about elderly travelers and children being able to walk to and from the beach, it is very easy to order a taxi and for less than $10 including a tip, you will be delivered into the Umbrella's parking lot which is within 100' of the water. From there Grand Anse awaits.
There are more places to choose from in the Grand Anse area.
