I echo many of the other reviews. It's a basic 3 star hotel with outstanding service. Truly outstanding service. The response to every question/request is "yes". They provide great recommendations for excursions, snorkeling/diving, restaurants, and taxis. They work with these partners, so they know the quality is high. Communication between staff members if fantastic - if you speak to a someone at reception at night, the person in the morning has already addressed the request. Great location - easy walking distance to Grand Anse beach, supermarket, restaurants, and the bus. I really enjoyed my stay.

I chose this hotel as I was looking for a quiet Budget location and I believe that I made the right choice. I stayed for 10 nights (8 – 18h January) and really enjoyed my stay. Be aware that the hotel is built on a hillside and there are several steps. This might be more difficult for those with mobility issues

The room itself was clean containing a comfortable bed, bathroom, fridge, microwave and air conditioning. The free WI-Fi was good. One small gripe is that the cups are small so needed to I needed to fill twice for my daily cup of tea!!

All the staff that I met were really friendly and very helpful.

The view from my upper room balcony towards St George's was amazing. I spent time in the morning and evening watching the cruise ships entering and leaving port. In the evening it was good to sit out listening to the tree frogs though a lounger would have been good.

The location is great, 5 minutes walk from the shopping mall and about 8 minutes walk to Grand Anse beach. 15 minutes walk to Quarantine Point and BBC/Morne Rouge Beach.

I would be happy to stay at the Siesta Hotel again.

June 2022. Nine (9) pics attached. I stayed at the Siesta Hotel for one night when SVG Air cancelled my afternoon flight from Grenada to Carriacou, requiring me to find a last minute accommodation in Grenada until I was able to fly to Carriacou the next morning. I arrived at the airport and easily got a $15 US taxi to the Siesta. Was greeted with a fruit juice at the front desk at check in. Reservation was made online, cash or credit card payment was required at check in. Room 21 on the third floor on the back side of the hotel was clean, bed was comfortable, lots of good pillows, safe in the room, all of the amenities you would expect, compact kitchenette area with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Iron, hair dryer, electricity converter, AC, full length mirror. Sliding glass door to balcony with view of the hillside (a dog howled in the hills during the night). There were rooms on ground floor with direct view/access to pool, but the rooms in the back were more private. The property was quiet, largely empty, seemed to only be a handful of guests. Excellent location in quick walking distance to KFC, a roti cafe, the Spiceland Mall with food court with poke bowls and frozen yogurt and IGA grocery store, taxi stand at the mall with well posted rates. Easy walking distance to the beach and Umbrellas Restaurant. Grounds were well kept, night watchman patrolled the property, well lit, felt safe.

Was hoping this small hotel would be OK for an overnight stay, but I cannot recommend. Staff was nice enough. First, the hillside location is nearly impossible for anyone with mobility issues, and lack of handrails on steps makes things even more difficult. Room was OK only. No instructions for the wall AC that was blowing directly on the bed, and when we called, a nice young man appeared and helped us work the Carrier wall unit better. Instructions should have been provided in room. NO HOT WATER, therefore we did not shower after a long exhausted travel day. When asked about this they said," Oh, you should have asked us to turn on the heat for the water. It doesn't work when the solar is clouded over." Huh? How were we supposed to know this? Last issue was the pool. We booked this hotel so our six year old granddaughter could swim and get her energy out. Sunday morning pool was being cleaned, and she could not use it. Pool was still cloudy and smelled strongly of chlorine with odd looking things floating in it, so we didn't chance it. VERY old pool with no obvious filtration system. Difficult ladder entry only. No steps. They wanted half the daily rate for a couple of hours late check out, so we were on the streets until we could board our cruise ship. Fortunately, our family was in another small hotel and the wonderful manager there took us in with them, and let us use their room for no charge and let my granddaughter swim in their pool. We thank her.

Response from NimaAnvar, General Manager at Siesta Hotel
Responded 16 Jan 2020
I'm very sorry about this. The hot water issue is my fault. It was a temporary plumbing problem that could only be dealt with in the morning. Please accept my apologies for that. There are a couple of issues that you mentioned that I do disagree with. First of all, AC remotes are relatively easy to use. Instructions are not necessary to use them. There's an on/off button, a temperature up/down, and a fan speed. It's pretty basic, and by your own admission, our staff still came and helped you with it. Secondly, our pool is fitted with a saltwater filtration system, which is far better than putting chlorine into the pool. Not to mention that we just retiled around our pool in December 2019. So those two claims are unsubstantiated. You are absolutely correct about the hillside. Our property is not suitable for people with mobility issues or those who are handicapped. Rooms with ocean views do have stairs to climb. It's the only way to have a view of the Caribbean Sea. Notwithstanding, I do apologize for the inconvenience and hope that you enjoy the cruise.

I stayed for 2 weeks in a hotel room at The Siesta Hotel. I was lucky enough to be on the top level and had a nice view of the sea as far as the cruise ship docking area. My room was very comfortable and kept clean. Must mention how attractive the garden in the grounds was. Swimming pool much appreciated and the adjacent Papillon Restaurant although not part of the hotel was excellent for breakfast or lunch. It was a short walk to beautiful Grand Anse beach with a choice of either Umbrellas Restaurant or Cummin Up (street food). The nearby supermarket was very useful and there were other places to eat nearby.
I hired a motor scooter for 8 days and found out it is an exciting way to explore the island. Must have visited at least 6 different beaches and found them all to be really exceptional. I enjoy snorkelling and found the water was usually clear and calm.
I also used the local minibuses to get to and from St Georges .....much cheaper than a taxi.
One final observation was the comfortable climate......a gentle breeze kept the temperature cooler and although there was some rain it often happened during the night.

A block from the beach and stores, the hotel offers simple accommodations at a very reasonable price (compared with other lodging options in the area).

The room we had could use some preventive maintenance (painting, couch cushion replacement).

Also, when we entered the room we found the refrigerator unplugged (it took nearly a day to get to temperature).

The pool is very nice, but shares the pool deck area with the onsite restaurant.

Although we were only staying for one night. We chose Siesta because with a long flight to the UK the next evening we needed to overnight somewhere on a Friday that hopefully would be peaceful & at a reasonable price.
We were very pleased with the room that we had & its facilities (including air conditioning, kettle, toaster microwave, fridge).
The hotel has a decent sized swimming pool and is only about 100m from the Grand Anse beach. Also close to Morne Rouge beach (BBQ beach).
It is also only a 5-10 minute stroll from the Spice Island Mall where there is a very good supermarket as well as other shops.
A good tranquil experience even if it was only for one night.
The staff were all very helpful & friendly – we will definitely use the Siesta again in the future if we are in Grenada

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, every staff member went over and above to ensure our stay was faultless.
The room was pristine and maintained daily to a high standard.
The pool area was also kept clean with fresh towels topped up all day.
The food was of a high standard.
The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows.
The shower was powerful, which is a rarity on this island.
The location was perfect, close enough to the beach, shops and bus routes (5 min walk) without being on the main drag which meant it was quiet and tranquil.

I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning soon!

We have just returned from our stay at the Siesta Hotel. We stayed firstly in a one bed apartment for 4 nights. The apartment was equipped with everything necessary to cater for yourselves. My only criticism was that the sofa could do with being replaced but otherwise everything was great. The staff were very helpful and even let us leave a case with them while we travelled to Carriacou for a few days. On our return we spent one night in the hotel room but this even had a fridge, kettle and microwave which was very useful.
The hotel itself is a 5 minute walk to supermarkets, shops and restaurants and 10 minutes to the lovely beach. The pool is small but perfectly adequate , very quiet as most go to the beach.
I would definately recommend this hotel and especially the apartments if you are looking to cater for yourself.

My expectations were exceeded at the Siesta Hotel. My husband and I came here for almost two weeks for our honeymoon. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us and carried our luggage. Checking in was very easy and the staff was so accommodating. Everyone was very friendly and helpful the entire time. The hotel has security, daily room service, a breakfast and lunch restaurant, and the front desk can help you make excursion arrangements.

The hotel is a short and easy walk to some beautiful beaches, bus stop, Spiceland mall, some restaurants, and the spice and craft market. There are no sidewalks for a few minutes of the walk, but many people walk along the road at all times of day so we felt very safe. The mall has a grocery store which is nice because our room had a small kitchen that we used for many meals and prepping picnic food. The mall also has a bank, food, pharmacy, gift shops, etc.

The balcony view is beautiful with a refreshing breeze. The AC units worked so well in the two room apartment. The closets have a lot of space and hangers, and the bathrooms are spacious and clean. The shower always had lots of hot water and good water pressure.

We enjoyed walking from the hotel to Grand Anse beach, Magazin beach, and near the hotel is the artificial reef project that you can dive/snorkel around.

The room had a TV with cable, but we didn't use it. WIFI was always strong and the food at the hotel restaurant is very good. Also they have a lovely pool that is nice to lay next to.

We came in November so it was a little rainy and humid at times, but also very lush and green. It is not that buggy, but there are small mosquitos as expected so bring bug spray. Each room has a security safe as well.

Hoe far is it to the beach walking and is it flat? Travelling with elderly and small children.
Answer from suezeeq1957
Napa, California1 contribution3 helpful votes
Walking to the beach is an easy flat walk from the Hotel and most people would have no problem being physically able to do this. If I had concerns about elderly travelers and children being able to walk to and from the beach, it is very easy to order a taxi and for less than $10 including a tip, you will be delivered into the Umbrella's parking lot which is within 100' of the water. From there Grand Anse awaits.

No you should not need any adapter. For charging, it will be a bit slower but it is the same plug. Tip: For hand held devices, there is a USB port on the back (side) of the TV so when you have it turned on you can charge a phone or tablet.
