Nestled on a picturesque beachfront, the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort is lauded for its prime location and immaculate gardens. While the comfortable beds are a highlight, some guests feel the atmosphere and rooms could benefit from updates and maintenance. The resort offers a variety of amenities, including multiple pools and breakfast options, which are generally appreciated. Cleanliness throughout the property receives high marks, although opinions on service and value for money are mixed, with some reports of disorganized service and concerns over dining experiences.

Returning guests, fourth time February 2025. It was great to see that the long overdue renovations to the dated rooms are finally underway. The executive beachfront block is currently being worked on. Apparently, next up will be the oceanfront two storey blocks, followed by the garden view rooms. The rooms are being completely gutted and revamped with new furniture etc so the timeline for completion is anticipated a year away according to a manager I spoke with. Per housekeeping, the new bathrooms will have the large dispensers for shampoo etc. In preparation for the transition away from the travel size toiletry bottles currently used, they are using up existing stock. Note that they are completely out of shampoo, so ensure you bring your own or buy some from the supermarket behind the hotel.

The new staff laundry facility that was being built last year behind the executive block is now completed. We noticed other small changes but nothing of significance to mention here. The smaller rectangular size pool is unchanged and is in desperate need of being renovated. It certainly does not look inviting and is typically just used by swimmers wanting to get some laps in.

As per previous stays the only food we consumed at the hotel was breakfast which has an average selection and quality. The hotel has moved the location of the breakfast buffet to a larger space a bit further back which is better for flow, but a bit bare with no pictures etc. There really is no need to eat at the hotel as there are a variety of restaurant options along the beach serving great food and suiting different budgets. In our opinion the restaurant with the most consistent great food and value continues to be Umbrellas.

The hotel check-in process remains frustratingly slow and although there are lots of staff milling about in reception, only a couple were working the desk. Be prepared to wait especially if there are others in line ahead of you. It’s a shame that there has been little change in this area over the years as ultimately interactions with reception staff provide a guests first and last impression.

Once renovations are completed and the hotel rebrands to Radisson Blu I hope they invest some time to update the room descriptions on their website. Current descriptions create a lot of confusion with the ocean view/front rooms and the difference of such between those located in the executive block (south end of property) and those in the three 2 storey blocks. Rooms are described as ocean view but in reality they are actually all ocean front. Rooms in the executive block (4 storey) are larger and when they mention ‘upper’ floor it is my understanding this means levels 3 and 4.

All in all this is a great hotel as you can’t beat its prime central location on Grand Anse beach which is why we choose to stay here. If you are in one of the ocean view/front rooms you have an unobstructed view and are literally steps away from the beach. The gardens are beautiful and continue to be well maintained. I’m pretty sure that once the renovations are completed it will be the envy of its competitors!

Overall we enjoyed our 2-day stay at the Radisson Grenada. The front desk and staff was very friendly. They stored our luggage before check-in no problem, so we could go explore until our room was ready. The room was lovely on the 2nd level over looking the garden, one of the pools and the even had an ocean view. The bathroom is a bit dated and could use a major renovation. When we first came into our room the fridge was empty, but turned on and had leaked water all over the floor. (A big chunk of ice had been melting in the back of the fridge). Not a problem, we used the bathroom floor mat to dry it. The tv worked for watching cable channels, but the Google Chromecast set-up did not work (and this isn't user error, I've used this many times in other hotels just fine). a/c worked just fine and the balcony was a lovely feature with beautiful view.
The main big pool and grounds with the waterfalls are beautiful and we much enjoyed a bit of time there. The pool bar was okay, the service there was quite slow and inattentive.

We had one dinner meal during our stay there, which was okay, but we have to say the breakfast was terrible. Most items were inedible and the selection was very strange. They tried to put out a mix of continental and Caribbean breakfast, but most of the dishes were inedible. It is a buffet style breakfast, however, you can not go up and grab your own food, there are about 4 members of staff that have to plate your food from the buffet onto your plate. It's a bit awkward and gets jammed up as soon as there are more people having breakfast. The chef needs to go over the books what "French Toast" is. Yes, French Toast is made with day-old, dryer bread, but that bread needs to be soaked through in a milk and egg mix. Well, the chef just took really dry bread, coated it with a bit of egg wash and cooked it on either side. So while there was egg batter on the outside of the toast, the toast itself was completely dry and inedible. We tried all the meals from the breakfast buffet during our stay and the only item that was relatively well done, was the salt fish. The plantains were dripping in grease, the sausages tasted off, the scrambled eggs were hideous and the pancakes tasted like cardboard. The selection of cold things was also strange. There was only one choice of cereal, so you're out of look if you are allergic or have a dislike to one of the ingredients. The selection of cold meat and cheese was meager (and again you cannot take it yourself from the buffet), the fruits weren't ripe and they only offered one choice of yoghurt, which "peach" during our stay. Usually in a hotel there is at least plain yoghurt and a neutral cereal with oats available. It's just disappointing and not acceptable for the price you pay for a room and the hotel class they claim themselves to be.

We would stay in this hotel again, due to its location, the clean rooms and nicely decorated rooms, the beautiful grounds and overall friendly staff. Luckily, there are many restaurants around the area even within a just 10 minute walking distance. And there is a small independent restaurant just on the side of the hotel property called "Beachside Bistro Grenada", which offers a decent dining experience.

As a family we decided to visit Grenada as it’s our background and stay within a hotel instead with family on the island.

We booked our stay in advance and requested rooms to be next to each other and also on the ground floor so it’s easy and accessible.

Upon arrival we were given rooms all away from each other. When mentioned we were told we needed to request this service in which I did request and showed the receptionist the confirmation.
We then had to wait within reception for over an hour while everything got changed over to our requests.
We then had to pay a holding fee of £1085 for all three rooms that we had booked in which it didn’t state on the booking. This fee was for a security deposit for damage etc never knew a fee to be so high, but we paid and started off our holiday.

The location is great and the aesthetic of the hotel and onto the beach is a real treat. Which they also serve a lovely breakfast each morning with a variety of different foods, local juices, cakes and pastries.

The disappointing facts about this hotel is that the money you spend doesn’t accommodate the entertainment aspects for a holiday destination within the caribbean.

There is no night time entertainment, no day time entertainment or activities for families or kids.

For the location, the great weather the aesthetic they could have a lot more going on during the day and night to help their guests have fun and feel a real feel of the Caribbean and what’s it about.

I also think the lunch and dinner menu should have more variety of cultural foods the price we are paying for standard food within the hotel was just not worth it.

On another hand we had some real amazing staff that helped us have a great time during our stay.

We would like to mention Keisha our house keeper during our stay majority of the time Keisha would clean our room, we would notice the difference if Keisha didn’t clean our room as her standards was great she also made us all feel very welcome.

Joseph Malik the breakfast supervisor he daily ensured he spoke with us and checked how the food was and made us feel welcome.

Alana and Nyron who was lovely during breakfast and lunch times also showed us lovely support when my nephew injured himself. Nyron gave us good suggestions in order to help his pulled muscle and Alana always made sure we had everything we needed.

Last but not least we can’t forget Dylen & Akim who made us feel overly welcomed who checked on us each day on the beach or by the pool.
Ensured our kids were enjoying their time and anything we needed they helped us with.
Whether it was helping us with sunbeds giving us ideas on attractions near by etc they were truly Amazing with their time and communication.

We do think Radissons has great potential but a few things need to be put in place that would make it a wonderful stay with no regrets.

Stayed at the Radisson for a week. The hotel had an amazing location on the beautiful beach. Close to town and the airport lots of restaurants around to go out and eat plus 2 grocery stores near by for essentials. The hotel restaurant was ok at best not a lot of fish options, The Umbrellas restaurant is tops which is only 500 meters away good vibe good price. The grounds of the hotel are beautifully kept and pretty tidy. The rooms could use some TLC. The water was not draining in the shower so opened the drain and it was full of old disgusting hair. The other thing about the room was when they came and cleaned the room they did not restock towels we are two people we used 2 towels they only replenished one. So had to call front desk and have to wait for new ones. The staff is pretty good some of them new to work on their customer service and learn to smile. But what really was a disappointment was the fact that there was something going at the convention center which is pretty much attached to the hotel. There was a bunch of young adults in orange shirts who were walking the grounds smoking pot and sitting by the pools some of the were even spitting in the pool. In the evening they were still roaming the grounds one of them even went up to a ground level room and was looking in. We also had two individuals sitting on our lounge chairs in from of our room. The other disappointment is the security, if you want to call it that as they are too busy on their cell phones to notice that people from the cruise ship take the lounge chairs that are meant for the guests on the beach there are signs indicating don’t take the chairs but they turn a blind eye to it. You pay good money to stay here and you should not have to deal with people who are non guests

Overall a good experience with room for improvement.

We had an issue with our room that took longer than it should have to get resolved (several days)
Curtains are in desperate need of replacement otherwise the room was decent. Both 110 and 220 outlets in the room (only 220 in bathroom)

Small tubes of shampoo, conditioner, body wash & lotion were provided.

We found the beds to be too soft, others loved them.

Room has a Safe and a small refrigerator.

Very spotty wifi that kept dropping, surprising with all the conventions. We didn’t have this issue anywhere else on the island.
Main pool is in need of repairs. Round waterfall pool was beautiful but with a beach like Grand Anse we didn’t use the pools.

Having Breakfast included was nice, always plentiful and friendly. Gets a little tired after two weeks.
Omelette station with Michael who is awesome! Plus boiled and scrambled pre made eggs.
Local foods, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, pastries, fruit, lettuce and ham and cheese.
Cocoa tea (no where as good as Belmonts), juices.
Yogurt - only found plain one day unfortunately. Otherwise low fat high sugar fruit variety everyday.
Granola, porridge
Special shout out to Asha, Renee & Joseph ❤️

The gym is ok with free weights, few machines - no mats, deflated medicine balls but you’re able to get a workout in.

Lunch was painfully slow I see why many comment they don’t eat here. Only tried it once. I could have dozed off in my chair before our lunch finally arrived and even longer waiting for the check and pricey for what it is. Once was enough for us.
Too bad as it’s hot walking the 8-10min elsewhere for lunch.

Nightly entertainment was good to excellent depending on the night. Why they don’t do a better job of setting up seating in the area for people to watch and have drinks is beyond me. Several ppl would stand and leave as there wasn’t much seating. The one night that bar was closed while the singer sang to 4 people.

Overall I would recommend.

I could rate this anywhere from a 2 to a 5 depending on what perspective I look at the resort in. As I view this as an old resort that started life in the 1960’s which retains local charms I have rated it based on that. There are many things that go wrong but it suits the place and the staff do their best to fix it.
To start with the hotel is old but there seems to be a constant process of renovation which is great as long as you accept that work needs to be done. If you want to retain a low rise (ground and one floor above) then this is in my view a small price to pay. Our beachfront room was exactly that, patio facing the beach about 5 meters away behind a white picket fence. When there is high rainfall the patio floods a bit but the housekeeping team will clean it as many times as asked, and while they do they re-check the room. Keisha and Korona looked after our dated room perfectly. Everything clean, just a bit dated.
The hotel has two pools but with the ocean next to you they are fairly empty and you can shower off the salt before heading back to a sun bed in the quiet grounds (on cruise ship days the beach just gets too busy for us) so the hotel is an oasis of calm.
Breakfast is a buffet and has a fruit selection, egg station and a huge selection of local items. Some may (will) say that it is not international enough, I don’t think it needs to be, it’s in Grenada. The dinners are a small a la carte menu or on some days a buffet. The value was far better than we expected in a resort but the food was wholesome rather than gastronomic. Joseph runs the kitchens and is out every day talking to guests, getting feedback and taking it in. He is obviously working to budgets and this is not a 5 star hotel so I think he pretty much gets it right. If you want full 5 star then you will need to get your wallet out as top food is expensive in Grenada. All in all we found the food very acceptable. It is all served by an excellent team and we were lucky enough to be served by Latoya and Kendra. Always a smile and always apologetic if it took a few minutes when busy.
So, an old hotel both in terms of the building and its provenance, the most amazing setting in the middle of Grand Anse beach (which is amazing apart from on cruise ship days when it could be just about anywhere), wholesome local food at a reasonable price, clean but old rooms in a nicely spread out resort, good pools even if showing their age and local staff that wanted to help us. We were in Grenada, we knew it and we enjoyed it.
PS great scuba dive shop on site run by Adrian

Best location on the beach, large pool, always enough loungers on the beach and by the pool, room OK but without much storage space and ours had black mold in the bathroom, WiFi very good. That's about it as far as the good stuff goes, service bad, most of the staff uninterested and self-absorbed. Long wait when checking in, 2 hours because the room wasn't ready. No information whatsoever from reception about the hotel. Within 20 days it was not possible to get a functioning room safe. Breakfast the only bright spot was the egg station and the coffee was always good, otherwise typically American, bacon, potatoes, beans etc. OK, actually varied but always cold and not always fresh, 1 type of sausage which was also cut up as ham in the omelette, 1 type of cheese. Fruit, well, there was neither good quality nor variety. 2 types of toast accompanied by 2 household toasters. Individual components were reluctantly placed on the plate by the staff, who were delighted to see the guests in Creole, and in varying quantities. In the outdoor breakfast area there were major problems with birds that were able to help themselves generously to the guests' plates. Room cleaning was Caribbean style, except that after two massive complaints it was carried out at 7 p.m. The cleaning staff were nice and tried hard but always had problems with towels that were not available in sufficient quantities.
Oasis Grill did not convince us. The price-performance ratio is not right.
I would not describe the hotel as smoke-free either, people even smoked outside in the Oasis, and the cigarette butts are probably still there.

We paid a lot of money for a beach view room. The view and location right on the lovely beach are indeed gorgeous, and the bed was comfortable (though a duvet cover would have been better than the sheets above and below the duvet). And my husband enjoyed the pool a lot. But the room was tired and shabby, net curtains had dirty marks, the ledge in front of mirror had a bad permanent stain. We stayed a week and on not one of the days did we get a full set of towels and bathroom things, despite bringing this to people’s attention several times. When we arrived the four or five staff at the front desk ignored us completely for about twenty minutes. Even if they were busy, a welcome and smile and meeting our eyes would have been nice! Their attitude set the tone for the staff for the whole stay - staff were very casual and not customer focused. They need customer training! Food was pretty dreadful. At breakfast lots of things were missing and unavailable, tables weren’t cleared so that others could sit down. The breakfast buffet is grim - not allowed to help yourself to most of it, difficult to see what was under the lids, understaffed with surly staff. At the cocktail bar cafe, our vegetable samosas were still frozen in the middle.

Highly disappointing stay. I travel to Grenada frequently and usually stay with family. This was my first time staying at a resort there and although the surrounding area is beautiful the hotel stay was beyond frustrating. My room was not ready at the time of check in and took hours to prepared. The room had roaches baby roaches at least 6 at a time and on other occasion bigger ones and when I told the front desk she expressed zero concern and called housekeeping. They barely cleaned because I went back to the room and found a water bottle and paper on the floor of the bathroom so they literally just threw out the garbage. Customer service here is the worst I’ve made several attempts to call the front desk for various things and never any response. We were out of hot water for 2-3 days and there was zero sense of urgency in the matter. The wifi worked for maybe the first day then everyday after that was another excuse. I needed new bath towels and reached out to the front desk no answer the next day they answered and said they would send someone and no one showed. Finally I went to the front desk to complain again zero concern and she came back with two towels in a plastic bag. Then as I was checking out they tried to charge me for a bill I already settled previously and once again zero apology when they figured out I was correct and already paid. I won’t say all staff but a majority of the staff was very nonchalant and as though you are an inconvenience. The restaurant on the resort was also horrible we waited so long for a table to be cleared and the restaurant was not even busy when the table was finally cleared we were not told we stood there waiting and then took it upon ourselves to go ask if it was ready after waiting so long then the server said yes. We sat down and waited for an extensive time once again to then be greeted and asked if we wanted to order. The food took foreverr after waiting so long my party began to get upset and we asked again where is the food the server finally went to the back and brought out the food -simple cesar salads and an Alfredo pasta is all we were waiting on. The salad came out room temperature the shrimp on the salad was dry and inedible due to the amount of salt. The pasta was hard and barely cooked. It was highly disappointing there was zero apology or explanation as to why we waited so long and the pasta was not even cooked nor hot. I fully understand that things happen but basic courtesy is not too much to ask for there was zero concern on the staffs end even when I voiced my issues at the front desk there was almost a smirk on the ladies face and she said “okay”i would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

2.5 hour to check in, claimed room was being cleaned. It wasn’t cleaned to a standard I’d expect or standards as they were before.
Dust on top lamp shade (show pic). Broken toilet seat, bottom on toilet dirty. See pictures
Room service, cleaned room and left dirty dishes in room (pic show)
AC came on and went off again every few seconds lit up room throughout the night disturbing our sleep. See video
Food service is appalling, waiting periods go into hours.
Table not cleaned from previous customer.
Ordered roti and frozen cocktail for lunch, cocktail delivered straight away, by the time roti arrived (see time) cocktail was no longer frozen, serve the drinks with the food, not an hour before.
I won’t drink on an empty stomach.
Breakfast service and variety is very good. Omelettes are lovely and well made. (Apart from cracked teacup on first morning
Evening buffet staff exemplary, 3 girls plus Fidel brilliant service and professional
Staff are pleasant and friendly, but place is clearly under staffed.
Basic training needed.

Spilt orange juice remained on floor for most of breakfast service, health and safety measures appear to be non existent.
What a shame, I’ve been coming here since it was the Grenada Grand.
Hats off to Rhondy, have met him here on previous visits, very mature gentleman.

So to compensate for the 2 and half hour wait to check in, we were offered an hour extension on checking out plus EC$100 between 2 of us for lunch. (Do the math)

I definitely will NOT be coming back here.

Thank you for posting a review. We are glad that you appreciate the service you received from the hotel staff as well as the breakfast. On the other hand, we are saddened to hear that your stay was less than satisfying due to the condition and cleanliness of the room, food for lunch, sufficiency of the hotel staff and that the check in time took longer than what you expected at that time. Providing our guests with a comfortable and relaxing experience is of extreme importance to us and we are sorry if we may have missed the mark. Know that your voice has been heard and this will be forwarded to the hotel management for further improvements. While we understand if you do not wish to return, we'd love to have another opportunity to serve you and offer you a more seamless experience in the future.

Hello, cross the street there is a small mall and an ATM (bank machine) there. If you walk south (turn right once exiting the hotel) there is a bank about 300 meters. And at the big mall, where the IGA supermarket is, there also are two banks.

Hi Car parking was within the grounds on a flat surface as is the hotel. We didn’t have a car but it seemed easy to get in and out as there were traffic lights. Grenada is quite hilly but where the Radisson is is flat - easy access (across the road)to supermarket, bank with ATM, and pharmacy. There is a small shopping centre within a 10 minute stroll - turn right out of the hotel or from the beach turn left to the small bistro on the corner of the hotel beach and turn left up the side of this. At the end of the road turn right and follow the road around until you see the centre across the road
